I went in for age spots under my eyes and wanted RF needling done. I didn't even think of getting laser because I thought that area would be a no no. Coral suggested Picosure laser on top of RF needling if I wanted. For my first session we did strictly RF needling and she went over my entire face taking out things I couldn't even see. She has these incredible specs with a light attached and she really gets right in there. RF needling isn't a walk in the park but she is constantly making sure I'm feeling alright. Two weeks later was my follow up and I wanted to really get those pesky age spots. I gave her the okay to touch up with the RF needle again and then go forward with Picosure. Picosure can be a bit intense but nothing horrendous or anything. A frozen stone is rolled onto the area to be treated so comfort is of utmost importance! I looked a bit hideous after the treatments but Coral made sure I was well covered up with some mineral makeup. I wish that I would have read reviews such as the one I'm leaving prior to investing $4000 in this course. To sum it up, not only is the course not worth the money, you also do not leave with all of the information or experience required to feel confident to begin a career in this field. First off, you're told that your $4000 investment for a 1 week course will also include all the equipment you need to get started. However what we weren't told is that we would have to spend another $1000 to purchase additional product that you absolutely need to start seeing clients. The first day of instruction went well. However there was very little instruction provided on the days to follow. We often had to work on live models with as little as 1 hour of class instruction and a little homework we did outside of the location the night before with no one to properly guide us. This is pretty well how things went for every new service we "learnt". Class was set to start at 10am every morning, and we would show up and be left to chat amongst ourselves until almost lunchtime...which was followed with working on a live model. (Keep in mind you've only had about 1 hour of class time to learn the service you were about to perform and a little practice you did on your own on a few skin sheets the night before). Considering the fact that we are rendering semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing services that's not sufficient, and I'm sure many models would have turned away if they knew. I could have learnt what was taught in this course by buying a $40 book on Amazon and watching a few YouTube videos. To top it all off, the instructors were quite rude to us while we worked on models. They expected you to know exactly every step of the process on the first try without providing us with the information to allow us to do so. I am so disappointed to have wasted $4000 on this, it still bothers me 3 months later. I simply can't recommend this course to anyone.

A few months later, I decided I missed the look of extensions and shopped around. The market for lash techs is definitely saturated, almost anyone can get a certification...pretty intimidating stuff. When I found xoxolashes I was immediately impressed. I chose Adrienne because of her background as an optician and the amazing reviews on her site. I figured if anyone knew about lashes it would be someone who has worked with eyes for 10+ years. I have a history of bad eyes, I got lasik surgery, had a disease where I was going blind and I have chronically dry eyes so I am skeptical of having anyone come close to them. Adrienne was very gentle and understanding of this and took great care in making sure I was comfortable. She truly listened to what I wanted with my lashes. I didn't want a very intense look, and I didn't want them too long. I told her "I want people to look at me and not be sure if I'm wearing false lashes or if I just have really good mascara on" and I got JUST that. It was perfect. I woke up the next day and actually completely forgot I had lash extensions - which is a solid indication of a job well done. It's been a couple weeks now, and my lashes aren't irritating me, they aren't flailing around, nor are they itchy. I'm glad I gave lash extensions another shot. I get compliments all the time, and getting ready is such a breeze in the mornings (I get to sleep in a little now!) I definitely recommend xoxolashes to anyone looking to switch technicians, or looking to try extensions for the first time. Had a conversation with the…read morereceptionist the day before who warned that I would be billed for the full amount if I cancelled less than 24 hours in advance. I then re-arranged my afternoon - its a 2 hour + appointment and booked online and rec'd 2 confirmations of the appointment. Today, I went to Lola Lash Bar and waited and waited. Receptionist was busy at the coffee bar too. When I asked the receptionist if there was a problem she told me that she would call and see where Miki was. I left and called back and was told she wasnt picking up or responding. Several hours later I rec'd a VM from Mike offering to rebook. No apology just an explanation that there was a glitch in Lola's system and i shouldnt have been able to book so close to the date of the appointment. A complete waste of time. My Experience with Lola Lash Bar was disappointing and unprofessional. Would not recommend.
