We dined at Wild Mango in Lyndhurst last Saturday 4/1/23. This was by far the most appalling service experience I've had in years. And the food was actually good. So all the more disappointing that we had a bad experience. You know you're in bad shape when you're at a supposed fine dining institution and you're greeted by your server with a curt "are you ready to order?" I'm not kidding. No hello how are you.....Can I get your drink order ...nothing. We just sat down and she wanted to take her food order already. As the evening progressed....I understood why. This restaurant has fallen victim to the sad story of not having enough people working. I won't bore you with the details.....suffice to say....after we did place our food order....that's the last we saw of our waitress. There were no other drinks to be had with the meal. We had to beg a busboy (who was irritated we asked) for more water for the table. As the meal concluded, our waitress finally made an appearance. I asked her to bring the manager over to the table to express our utter dissatisfaction with our evening. She was irked with us, and then came back a few minutes later and actually said he was not available and had "stepped out". She also told us that they had recently fired two other servers and the bartender and so they were being run ragged. I did feel for her. Nevertheless, it turned what should have been a nice evening out into a bad experience. read more

This gem is underrated. The interior is as beautiful as that of Cru Uncorked, with tastier food and more reasonable prices. And I love the little details, whether it's the mini orchids at every table, food presented beautifully on stylish dishes, the addictive mini rolls, or complimentary pea soup at lunch. My husband and I wanted to eat something different, so we chose Wild Mango. Our waiter/host, Tyler, was great! He was very pleasant and polite. He answered our questions with ease. The ambience was nice. Jazz music playing, white table cloths, wing back chairs. Very nice!! We ordered our drinks, a Long Island Iced Tea and a glass of Riesling. Delicious! Our appetizers were the chicken pot stickers and the crab cakes. Both were very tasty. We are from The DC area and we knew the crab cakes were not made with Maryland Blue Crab Lump meat The crab cakes were still very tasty. I forget to get a pic of the appetizers. Our entrees were Stuffed Chicken with mushrooms, spinach and mozzarella cheese on a bed of rice with spices and there sautéed sea scallops The sauce was so good! Like you can just eat the sauce like a soup. We were so stuffed that we barely put a dent in our dishes. We had to pack them up to go. We ordered the mango cheesecake to go. This place is a hidden gem!!! Food is fabulous. Beautiful presentation and the pfood portions are pretty big an excellent value for what you get. Everything I've had here so far has been great! The mango cosmo is excellent and you have to try the mango cheesecake! We sat on the patio one night and dining room another night. Take my advice, do not go to this place. We were greeted by an extremely rude man at the reception. It went downhill from there. We asked to be seated at the bar. He said there were no open seats. We looked and saw there was plenty of seats available. So we we were seated in a dining room. After at least 15 minutes no one approached our table. I went to the rude guy and told him. After another wait a server came and told us she was not our server, but she could get drink orders. I asked for a Kirin beer. She returned, no Kirin. Two more orders were told they were also 86. After another long wait we flagged a busser and he took our order.we're are now there almost an hour and yet to see our server. Finely received our pre dinner rolls. They were excellent. Another wait and got our food. Our meals were large, but not necessarily special. After we were finished no one came to our table for at least 20 minutes. My wife left the table and was able to nab someone to get our bill. I forgot to mention that during the entire evening our table was a feeding frenzy of flies and flys. Not pleasant. The ambiance is cool, it's "elegant" and "upscale" but the food itself... is MEH. I didn't really care for the menu, I end up getting scallops which were GOOD but I didn't think the crab risotto paired well with it. The crab risotto alone was good but it taste very much like a sushi roll, they would've did much better pairing the scallops with potatoes or plain rice. The service was good, until they flicked the lights off inside "accidentally" so we could leave. I wouldn't visit this place again. read more

When I heard wild mango had opened on the east side, I called my girlfriends and said we had to go. I usually am not a huge fan of these type of restaurants but my mom used to take me there throughout high school but the North Olmsted location. Anyway - it's kind of funny but the menu hasn't changed in about 10 years. Surprisingly, I swear it keeps getting better. Now I had the honey glazed chicken which is pictured. The chicken was delicious and it was served in a thin wanton that looked like a bag, but it is eatable! One thing to note the rice and the broccoli was severely under salted. Which is fine, but they don't keep salt and pepper on the table. Bad move. My girlfriend had the scallops. She thankfully let me have a bit at they were delicious! It could easily be a meal for two because there are about six of them with mushrooms and rice as well. She was happy with her decision. My other friend got the shrimp dish. It came with about 9 tempura dipped shrimp and sweet potato fries and spinach. It looked good, she said though it was a disappointment there was no dressing because it became very blan flavored and dry. This place is fun, and it's an experience more than anything. The building is divided into four rooms with each room being a different season. It's fun, a great place to stop for dinner after shopping, the prices are good, the staff is nice, and the food is OK. The food isn't amazing but it isn't bad either. Will I go back? Probably, plus it's at legacy at after a couple hours walking there, it'll be delicious to chow down on! read more

I took my mother-in-law and my late wife's best friend to Wild Mango for their birthdays, which are in the same week. No problem making a reservation for Sunday night. Easy parking, too. The new decor replaces an old stir-wok restaurant, and completely renovates the old space. Very nicely done. It's not one of those modern restaurants where the glaring visuals are only outdone by the jarring noise. It's quiet and classy. The staff are polite and efficient. I had the surf and turf. It was--no exaggeration--the best steak I've ever had. My mother-in-law had the ribs and loved them. Our friend had a double-salmon dinner. All were exceptional, and perfectly cooked. We also shared a fine sashimi appetizer. It was expensive, but well worth it. Not someplace you'd stop for a bite, but perfect for a special dinner. read more

Went here for Valentines 2021. Very upscale vibe. The interior design of this restaurant is a masterpiece. Many separate dinning rooms all with a different feel. The food was delicious! Went there last night for dinner with my husband Wild Mango Crocker Parkk Food was very good nothing to complain about. Was hoping to get the Holiday Spirit but there was no Holiday decoration ..not even in the lobby. the ightingin the main dining room in the evening is so bright. its like a spotlight on each table there is little ambiance at the table. Wow. I was impressed from the moment I walked in the door! One of the most beautiful restaurants in the area with ornate ceilings, velvet seats, and smaller dining rooms so every table seems cozy and quiet. The service was fantastic, our server wore a suit- we thought he was the manager, and the menu had quite a few seafood and meat options, most if not all with an Asian fusion flare. We had the pesto salmon which was amazing (served over sticky rice with a delicious sauce drizzled on the plate and veggies). To paraphrase a legendary restaurant reviewer, although there are many words I could use to describe Wild Mango, I'm going to say only this: Wild Mango is a bad restaurant. It is bad in nearly every way that a restaurant can be bad. For starters, Wild Mango suffers from a near-fatal case of cultural identity confusion. Popularly described as an Asian-Fusion restaurant, its website corrects this (somewhat misleadingly) by self-describing as "multi-cultural." Well, ok, I guess that's right if you think the "fusion" of Asian stir-fry with Caesar Salad is a thing. My table regarded the menu selections not so much an "eclectic" expression of multi-cultural, but as something one might find in the grand dining hall of Epcot Center. Then there is the decor. The labyrinthian space is adorned with a hodgepodge of tacky looking furniture, lacquered surfaces, and Venetian glass. Think Las Vegas meets Carnival Cruise. The food itself was bad, but not remarkably so. There are the dinner rolls stuffed with something or other that were cold and tasteless; salads that could have been dumped from a salad-in-a-bag and dressed, if at all, with uninspiring selections; or stir-frys that were so bland that they could have safely been served in the old-age homes that dot the surrounding neighborhood. But, the lackluster food was a high-point compared to the service. Twenty minutes after we were seated, when we had only just finished ordering our drinks, I remarked that we were in for a long night. As we got up from the table after our meal NEARLY THREE HOURS LATER, my prescience could not be disputed. I literally have completed invasive surgery, from sedation through recovery, in less time -- and more enjoyably -- than it took to endure a meal at Wild Mango. Our server (who also appeared to be the ONLY server in our Escape Room), put on a game face and tried her best. But, her thousand yard stare as the evening wore on betrayed a grim recognition that she was presiding over a sh!t show that she was powerless to improve. And for all the while we sat at our table in Wild mango, adding insult to injury, we had a view of the surrounding restaurants of Legacy Village. In particular, we had the looming facade of Cheesecake Factory mocking us in reminder of what an "eclectic, multicultural dining experience" could truly be. Over that low bar we will jump rather than ever returning to Wild Mango. read more

This is a really good place if you want to have the experience of fine dining in a place that isn't terribly expensive. We had goat cheese ravioli as an appetizer which were really good, and the salmon duo in the picture that was also tasty and filling. The service was fairly good, although I have heard it can get slow when the place is busy. read more

The food was great the moment we sat the person who invited us the husband of the birthday girl some lady named Mira comes up and says since there is 10 people the check would be one person we got that fixed the hostess had already told us mira was new and was a bad person she even said unfortunately she will be your server this was before the check part. The host of the dinner said I got it its fine and Mira still kept assuming we couldn't pay for the bill after that was out of the way and we ordered our food it was great but it comes to around 7:50 the mayor calls and tells us she is coming mira tells us order her food a couple minutes after so we order the food her and her husband arrive the food is there so then someone at our table complained about her saying we couldn't pay for the bill and saying that the mashed potatoes were boxed and so we complain it escalated and then mira goes to get someone else around this time the lights are back on when i say escalated thats when i mean the lights went off and it was past closing time the lights came back on when stuff happened and so the black lady that mira brought back told us she was going to call the police and we said call them forgetting the mayor was there the mayor says she doesn't want this to escalate and will go get her badge if she has too long story short they call security not the police and they give us our money back and we go happily ever after please don't go here !! read more

My friends steak had a chunk of bone in it and not once did the manager come over to check on us or to apologize, even though we expressed our disappointed experience. I went in and the hostess sat several different groups, one who came in after me (and cut in front of the pregnant lady) before even glancing my way. Buckle up...Inside looks amazing. Seated quickly(we had a reservation). The bread that was brought to table pretty good. My dates salad was...a salad hard to mess that up. This is where the night fell apart. I ordered a soup...it was suppose to be a chicken corn chowder of some sort. NOT EVEN CLOSE. It was more like a canned creamed of chicken soup with a few pieces of corn in it. I ordered the duck...not cooked to proper temp which made it kinda chewy. My dates food had to be sent back and her new order was just a average. Or waitress went ghost for a long period of time when we were looking for boxes and the check. Had to flag down another worker for assistance. The only positive in this was my dates entre was on the house due to the trouble. Now...if this places prices were lower then ya know what they'd prolly get 3 stars. But the price for the service and food wasn't it. I have dined at Wild Mango Legacy Village several times before the pandemic and once this week, post-pandemic. Three out of four times I dined here, there was a problem with the reservation. Most of the time, the reservation was erased. I made reservations at the restaurant in person and over the phone and there has always been some complication. Whatever computer system that is used is not working. I suggest you call to confirm your reservation. They also have a very complicated 8 or more person reservation policy that requires a credit card to reserve a spot which is not unusual, but inconvenient nonetheless. The food, most of the time is very good, but the service is awful!! The restaurant is always under-staffed so service is very slow! This was before COVID. This week, someone in our 8 person party ordered a wedge salad with chicken. She stated that the chicken looked and tasted as if it was processed and not fresh. It was not edible. The salad was watery as well. She did not make a fuss about it but she should've. Those who paid by credit card were alerted by the server that they were charged an extra $1-plus and she was not sure why or how to fix it. The ladies didn't make a fuss and paid the extra charge for no reason. What!?! Again, whatever computer system being used isn't working (probably the same one used for reservations). They were charged extra for no reason other than a computer glitch. The beautiful lush blue chairs are covered in stuck-on food and in need of a serious cleaning. There were spider webs in the corners of the room. Disgusting! I called to talk to the General Manager today only to be told that they don't have one. The chef/owner, Jai Wei, is the manager and I was told that he is rarely at the restaurant; usually only once a week on Saturday nights when he can schmooze with guests. Jai Wei has a background in interior design and culinary arts which shows in the beautiful design of the restaurant and food, but the managing and running of it is pathetic. Jai Wei is in the process of opening a Crocker Park restaurant and spends a lot of his time there. If he wants to keep his restaurants strong, I suggest better leadership, staffing and cleaning of the restaurant. BY the way, we were actually told to vacate our table because people were waiting. We were a party of 8 celebrating a 75th birthday for twins, seated at 4:30 and rushed out before 6:30. Not enough time for that many people to have drinks, dinner and enjoy a birthday celebration. We were cut short! One woman stated that she would not return to this restaurant. What a shame because the food is really very good! read more

As they are a new restaurant opening up in legacy village. I'm willing to turn a little bit of a blind eye towards some logistics. Having said that, my waiter was still slow. He kept getting drinks for the other tables first prior to even greeting us. The table behind us had their drinks changed three or four times before the waiter decided to come over and acknowledge our table. I even made eye contact with him several times to let him know we were waiting and yet he still didn't come over. By the time he made his way over it had been 15 minutes of us just sitting and waiting just to get some water or to get our orders in. I'm not trying to be snobby, but as a nicer restaurant, their wait staff and staff in general could be a little bit more attentive. It also wasn't even busy. Lunch on a Tuesday. Worst experience ever - we made prior reservations for mom's birthday. They called the day before to confirm we would be there. We arrived 10 minutes before our 6:30 reservation time and were promptly seated. However, after 1 hour we have had nothing but water. We kept being advised there were 2 large parties and only 2 people serving. Finally, they at least brought us bread after we repeatedly asked. Now 8 p.m. and finally getting appetizers - some people did not even get their appetizers. Finally, food came out the meat was hot, but all sides were cold. We asked to speak to a manager and was told no manager on duty SERIOUSLY! We did not leave until after 9. They called the manager as we were highly dissatisfied, and the manager basically blew the whole thing off. This was my first time there and my last. It was a chilly encounter. I felt like I was in Iceland. My sister needed water. She was parched after flying all day. It took 15 minutes. After telling four people my sister was extremely thirsty, she finally got her water. The night wasn't completely a disaster. Mia, another host was welcoming and attentive.
