The only reason I gave it an additional star over the minimum is because the wait staff was extremely patient and helpful. The reason the restaurant loses it stars is because it doesn't do justice to its primary purpose, i.e. the food. We had ordered fried rice, pad thai and a couple of curries. Unfortunately the famed pad thai was 'out of stock' and we had to double order the rice. The vegetables in our curries were barely cooked, we could still feel the crunch of the carrots and the string beans as if they were served to us raw. The flavor of the curry had barely permeated into the food. The decor was ok.. it looked more like a house converted into a tiny restaurant. I'm rockin' a 4 star with Wild Ginger because of how epically fast the delivery is. They bring the food to my house (in Hanover) faster than most places can bring it to your table. I'd give the food itself a 3 star rating. It is quite good though, and they have an extensive menu. I typically get the peanut curry with tofu. There are few South Shore Thai options, and Wild Ginger is without a doubt the best bet. read more

The worst Thai we three have had. Very, very Americanized. The tom ka gar was sickly sweet and overly milky. My curry was decent although the veggies were al dente to the point of rawness, and again it was too sweet. Crispy pad Thai was just wrong, like raw ramen noodles with veggies in sauce. ate here on a recent Thursday nite. We arrived about 7.30 for a late dinner. Their were three parites in their. We were seated quickly our drink order taken. Placed my order of drunken noodles and eggplant(auburgines) and vegetables. They didn't have my first choice which is silver noodles.Waittress said they had silver noddles however it was not on the menu or avaible to the public. Anyway. the two plates i ordered both had two chili peppers next to them on the menu. i assume that meant that it was hot and spicy. however, my food was not spicy or hot at all. Other than not being spicy like i enjoy. the food was fine. I will even say it was very good. portions were fine. I had specifically asked for fresh chili peppers on the side to give some kick to my food. It just may have been a communication gliche because the waitress brought me dried chilli powder. Both orders had lots of fresh vegetables and they were crisp and not over cooked. which is perfect. Briocolli, zuchinni, carrots, onions, mushrooms. and plenty of them. And fresh mushrooms not the rubbery tinned mushrooms that many restaurants use to save money. They have brown rice which is a big plus also. The only complaint i have is the price. drunked noodles at $11 and spicy eggplant(augurgines) at $13 . Perhaps the high price is because of the location. high rent and overhead. and being a distance from the city. Bill came to $28 and i left $3 tip. Tried this for the first time, I would have to say it is now my favorite Thai on the south Shore!! The black pepper mango curry with brown rice OMG I could have died happy upon first bite!! Also had the Pad see you with beef equally delicious!! The place is small but nicely decorated & very comfortable, the service was fast, friendly, & very efficient! I can't wait for my second visit! Crispy basil chicken is amazing and addictive. Both sweet and spicy. Nice kick of heat from the Thai basil leaves. Portions are huge.

I have been to a few Thai restaurants. This place is really good. The food is tasty and consistent. Yes it is the typical dishes as other restaurants but each of the dishes taste different. Stopped here for takeout lunch. I am a big Thai fan, but I am not from the area. My area in NJ is very Thai-rich and so maybe I am spoiled. I had the Tom Kha Gha and Pad Kee Mau. These are my two standard barometer meals for Thai food. The soup was really good and loaded with flavor. The Pad Kee Mau was good, not great. If I had to complain, I would say that the dish was simply too loaded with oil. The flavors were solid, the service (for takeout) was courteous and reasonably fast. Went inside last night to order, this is my first visit to this place since it was Cherrywoods BBQ, although rather clean, this place was empty. Only maybe 3 diners total. It's about 7:45pm, I place my order of veggie Basil rice, Pad Thai chicken and Macadamia beef, comes out to a little over $40 .. I ask, oh I see here that I get free pancake or roll for an order over $40, they explain thats before tax... Okay, fine not a problem, I go to use the bathroom.. the light doesn't work, it's dark out... Umm okay good thing my phone has a light, wash my hands and go back to the dining room and sit down, 2 minutes later, my food is coming out. That was a total of 5 minutes I was in here... Now... Let's get to the food.. pad Thai was greasy... Had no flavor except from the peanuts on it... Basil rice was a little better, but for $12 ... It was a very small portion... Macadamia beef. . Here is where it gets detailed... The entire plate was fish sauce.. overwhelming with it. The beef looked old and was chewy. The macadamia nuts of which I think there was maybe 8 in the entire dish we're kinda stale. This dish too was greasy, also the salt content was very high in all the dishes. Overall. We tried it, will we be going back! Not on your life. Some others may love this place and that's cool, this is my experience with this place. You have your opinions and I have mine. I went to the restaurant for pick up last weekend. The service was great. The tall waitress was very friendly and attentive. She even asked if i want a glass of water while i wait for my food. Other than the service, everything else was blahhh....the pad thai tasted awful, it was waterly and gross. While I was waiting for my food, I can hear a lady yelling from the kitchen..maybe yelling at the cook for making waterly pad thai. it was painful and unprofessional. i have never tried eat in here before, and I don't think i will. read more

This is close to my office, so I eat here quite regularly. Whether I dine in or take out, the food is consistently fresh and flavorful! Highly recommended! The only downside is that the air conditioning sucks. If it is warm, definitely opt to take out! read more

I went to Wild Ginger with my granddaughter today. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming; small but cozy. We both enjoyed Pad Tai and the Combo platter. Everything was delicious and the service was great. May was our server and she was The Best. She always kept our water glasses filled. She was very pleasant and we enjoyed chatting with her. We had plenty to take home with us to enjoy again.I will definitely be returning,and my granddaughter will be asking her parents to bring her back; if they don't, I will. I have been coming here once a week for almost 2 years. Waitstaff is great, love the chicken gra pow, but other dishes fine, too.

This restaurant is closed on Monday according to their website and the fact that they are not answering the phone. Tried this place based on Yelp reviews and it was very good. Unlike some other reviewers, I can't say the service gave me the warm-and-fuzzies, but it was perfectly fine. Ordered chicken satay and golden triangles - both were above-average. Beef mango curry was also good, but the Pad Gra Pow, served topped with a sunny side egg, was so fabulous that anything else would suffer in comparison. Pad Thai was a touch sweeter than I like it, but still very enjoyable. Visited on a Friday night at 6:30. Not many seated then but place was filled up (very small dining room) by the time I left. The place is next to Webbs Gym. The staff is lovely and the food is tasty, healthy and fresh. I usually get the Thai salad (grilled chicken on a salad) and wonton soup and Thai tea when I am in an indulgent mood. I have also tried their chicken satay and gyoza (steamed pork ravioli) and they are all really good. One con: The only drawback is the a/c has not been on (not sure broken or don't have one) on hot days when it was over 90 degrees so it is uncomfortable on really hot days. read more

Good little Thai restaurant. Very clean and quaint. They even decorate the paper on the ends of the straws, which is very whimsical. I've been there numerous times and have ordered a variety of entrees. Many of the shrimp dishes and curry dishes, the pad Thai, spring rolls, tempura and a few other items. All of dishes have been very good and the portions were generous enough for the price. I did order a particular appetizer a few years back that was horrible. I won't mention what it was because a current customer photo looks very good and nothing like what I was served. I didn't eat it and didn't complain because I thought it was their version and just not to my liking. But the wait staff was unhappy about this and took it off the bill without me even asking. I thought that was great customer service. As you may have read in some of my other posts, I also rate based on how the staff treats my elderly mother. And this establishment is wonderful, once you make it in the door. The handicap access is not very good and almost appears to be just symbolic so they don't get fined. Perhaps not their doing, but whom ever owns the building. However the restroom does not appear to be handicapped accessible either. One thing I really dislike is when I see the staff prepping food in the dinning area (not in a prep area, but at a table used for seating). This has occurred in this establishment and unfortunately, in my experience, food safety protocols were not practiced. I know I do not have any idea what happens in the kitchen, but at least I can't see it !!! Hmm, makes sense to me... If I could, I would have only rated this establishment a 3.5, but I have a lot of respect for individual establishments that remain open for multiple years and the food and overall service are pretty good. I was eager to try this place, after noticing the menu has many options that are "Available Vegetarian". When I asked more questions, however, I was told that the sauces for those dishes had all already been made, and that they all contain fish and/or oyster sauce. Not vegetarian! After a lengthy conversation with a coworker, the girl at the counter told me that I could get some mixed vegetables with a side of peanut sauce. No thanks. After reading so many positive reviews, was excited to finally try this restaurant. Was here on Monday, 6pm, Memorial Day. Clean inside, small but welcoming. Waitstaff very friendly. Seated by the window. There can't be more than 10 tables in there. Had the hot and sour soup, which my husband gave the thumbs up. The deep fried tofu triangles w/ peanut sauce was very good appetizer if you like tofu. It was basic but very good, fried just right, not too much. I had the crispy pad thai - fantastic - and he had the chicken yellow curry. Veggies cooked to perfection - not soggy, a bit crisp and perfect spice. Portions are just right - if we had a 2nd appetizer, would definately have to take some of the entree home, but we ate it all. Would definately go back again and highly recommend!
