I went on a weekday for breakfast and was actually glad to see that it was not packed as I had tried going on a weekend before and the waiting time was about 45 minutes. Honestly I freaking love Wild Eggs and come frequently. This is my first AND LAST time to this location. It's a hot hot mess. I was quoted 30-40 mins and waited nearly 1hr 20 before I went all Karen and got a table. Service was slow, my food was cold and order incorrect. It is clean, spacious, and lots of parking! The food is consistently good too! My personal favorite dish is the Crabby Patty Bennie, but the Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict would be a close second. I have been going to Wild Eggs since shortly after their opening. They were and still are my favorite restaurant in Louisville. 3 years ago, i moved to Charlotte, NC and I have spoken about Wild Eggs to everyone I know here. I also must go every time I'm back in town. This is the most incredible breakfast I have ever tried. I actually wish I had the funds and the schedule to open a franchise in NC just so I can eat it whenever I want. My favorite dish is the chilequile. It comes with a tabasco and lime shot which I'm told it to "enhance the taste." I one time forgot the shot and it is true. The meal didn't taste the same. The everything muffin is also a must get. So wonderful. For my drink, I like a pomegranate mimosa. I love watching Wild Eggs grow to more and more locations as they branch out. Please come to NC soon!!!! read more

Even though we checked in earlier, we still had to wait. Very busy, but plenty of staff. Our waitress/server took our (5) orders. It took awhile to get our orders, but it was a very busy staff. Everyone seemed to enjoy what got. My Eggs Benny was ok, not enough Hollandaise sauce. I asked for the poached eggs to be runny, it was not. I was moderately satisfied, the others felt the same. I love Wild Eggs but I feel this experience had potential to be a lot better. We came here on a Sunday knowing it would be busy so we called. Over the phone, I asked, "Does your location do call ahead?" And I heard the lady ask the manager if they "do call ahead today". They said "no not on the weekends". Whatever no big deal. We got there and was told a 30 min wait which we were expecting. Didn't mind. What we did mind was that parties were coming in telling the restaurant they called ahead and they were told they next up. I looked at my partner in dismay. FANTASTIC! Best breakfast I have had in recent memory. Everyone had something different and all delicious. Great place for a fancy breakfast. Can be a little pricey, but the quality of the food and portion sizes make up for it. Arrived around 10:30 on a Friday morning. My wife and I were seated right away. Started with a couple waters and their Bloody Marys, which are very good if you have never had one. She got the Western omelet and I got the hot brown. We also got a side of bacon, a blueberry muffin and grits of the day. Everything was delicious! Service was on point and very friendly. Had pretty poor service today. The eggs were runny, bacon burnt, toast burnt, and the sliced fruit in the carafe of water still had the label on it which tells me they didn't clean the fruit before cutting it. The half a Belgian waffle was good as usual though. The waiter immediately said their computer system was down when we arrived and stated that the kitchen was a mess so we'd have a long wait time, and then we heard another waiter announce the computer system was back up a couple of minutes after we sat down. This is the second time we've had food issues in the last month. Going to give it another shot and if that's bad then we'll move on to another breakfast place. Maybe the owners need to focus on still providing great food instead of too much on expansion plans. read more

This can be split between 2 for sure. Or just get your own, it's one of those things that is TRULY worth the calories and indulgence. We split between 5, I wished for more and will have to dream about it. My Mr. Potato Head breakfast was delicious and I wiped up every bit of it. The chicken and waffles were ok, not my fav but also I understand there is many good choices for that locally too. One note on service-exceptional!!! Coffee was perfect black and needed no cream or sugar. Service was quick and pleasant. My only concern was the potato latkes I got in place of the "everything muffin". The Veggie Bennie Florentine is my favorite item on the menu! I order it every time I visit this restaurant. The poached eggs rest on a bed of spinach with the perfect amount of paprika and other seasoning. The Proud Mary drink was a great pairing with my meal. Let it be known- the drink can be spicy since jalapeños and spicy pickles are included! Our server, Nicole, was very attentive to our needs during our Derby Day brunch. This place was DELICIOUS!!!! I've never been to a place like this. I'm from Ohio but my fiance and I were in the area for vacation and was told this place was a must try. He had the country fried steak and I had a build your own omelette with ham, cheddar cheese and mushrooms. We both got skillet potatoes and muffins. We were sat right away but we also came in around noon so not sure what it's like during normal breakfast times. Server was very attentive and brought us a pitcher of water immediately. Why are mine scrambled. Update: Had food remade and was served the most overcooked poached egg of my life atop of soaking wet English muffin. Why in the hell would the English muffin be sopping wet? Perfect breakfast spot. Bright and clean interior is a great wake up atmosphere. Lots of tables, booths and even a circular counter. The reception was friendly right at their 7am opening. Waitress was excellent. Kind, polite and efficient. They bring a pitcher of lemon water for the table and a carafe of coffee if you order coffee. Nice to always have s full glass and mug.
