This place is great!!! We came on a friend's recommendation and it was delicious. First of all looks can be deceiving, the place looks tiny but they have plenty of seating in the back. It's like 3 business combined seating areas and you should be able to find a spot inside or outside here. Great ambiance for kids and a calm chill vibe. There's even a playground as well For food I opted for the bacon croissant sandwich. It's was verrrrry good. Thick crispy bacon paired with a delicious aoili on a butter croissant. This is a super fun brunch spot connected to Hauck's in Germantown. The back patio has games, awesome decor, and plenty of seating. This is a great spot to have summer brunch. The brunch cocktails are incredible, especially the Cinnamon Toast. The food was very solid and the portions are huge. The avocado toast was cold but I think it may have been intentional. Empanadas tasted fresh and the pancakes were the right level of sweetness. Super friendly staff. We will be back! read more

THIS IS HOW BREAKFAST IS DONE! I'm always looking for the local flavor that stands out among the crowd and Breakfast AF (cool name btw), really held true to their brand. Situated an easy drive from downtown, and part of the Schnitzeltown are of Louisville, this apparently was a legacy deli counter back in the heyday and the original corner Hauck's deli sign is still visible. The expansion seems to include a few bars, a pizza joint, breakfast joint, and a revised deli with a smoker actively going at the end of the complex. And it is complex... we sat out front on the patio of the breakfast joint since we had the pup with us, but had I known how large the rear patio was, we would've chosen to sit back there away from the road traffic. I the menu is straightforward... the fare is on the higher side of breakfast pricing, but the portions are enormous and I easily made two meals off my sandwich and home fries. Speaking of which... get it... wich... okay fine. I chose the fried chicken/bacon/egg sandwich on Texas toast and it was... substantial. I added home fries, but honestly, the sandwich was a meal on and of itself. The two succulent chicken tenders exploded with flavor of a distinctive savoriness and that flavor peaked when I dipped them in maple syrup (they have a dispenser next to the coffee pots). The egg and bacon were perfectly cooked, complemented each other well, and the buttery toast just pulled it all together. My wife chose the shrimp-n-grits and that was just a flavor bomb with every bite. Savory grits with the slightly sweet shrimp, topped with smoked pork belly, and drizzled with a chili crisp oil that simply overwhelmed the tastebuds with every bite. It's a line order with pagers, so place your order, grab a table, and the coffee/water is self serve over across from order pickup. The back patio is open air, expansive, and spans the entirety of the multi space front buildings. There's even a soft surface children's playground behind the new deli. So 5 stars may be overkill for this spot. The Indian inspired avocado toast was good and had some good Indian inspired spices paired with the egg and naan. The bread pudding French Toast though was unexpectedly incredible. Perfect amount of sweetness with a very creamy soft center and crispy exterior in addition to a luxurious homemade whipped cream. Plenty of seating and they had at least three bars for you to de order drinks. We ordered the empanadas and shrimp and grits and both were absolutely divine! My family and I visited on an early Sunday afternoon. It was moderately busy, so I was pleasantly surprised to see a playground for kids. For my drink, I ordered the Screwed AF and very much enjoyed it. For my late breakfast, I ordered a side of cheese grits. It was the perfect size and absolutely delicious. The chicken and waffles were okay. The waffle is cooked pretty crispy...almost too crispy. And the chicken is just tenders with a light breading. It wasn't dry. The syrup on the side kinda soaks into the waffle to the point where you can't even tell it's there. Just not the most satisfying meal. Could be more flavorful for the price. No really memorable. We were actually not prepared for the line nor the ordering process, it took about 15 minutes to get inside where the place is well air conditioned and another 10 to order. You self serve your beverages and you receive a number and wait for your order to be delivered. It is always a journey when traveling with me since I am not only vegan but also have allergies to soy, sesame and peanuts. So I have to be cautious 30 minute wait for meal was a bit long however it is not fast food which I appreciate but I guess I would visit somewhere else if I have limited time. Breakfast AF has one of the best patios in Louisville, it's huge, breezy, and allows for private conversations and child play without feeling crowded. Having been here before and being amazed I will say this second trip was less amazing than the first. The menu options are just as exciting as their affiliate restaurants Pizza AF and Baked AF. The kegs, potatoes, cinnamon sweets all make your mouth salivate. The pancake is great, it absorbs syrup so well and holds a sweet flavor. My favorite thing is the potatoes, literally any potato from this place tastes like well crafted and like they enjoyed doing it. The eggs today fell flat, I don't expect much. But when the eggs taste like the box a liquid they came out of its more difficult to respect a scrambled egg. The sausage was tough, I think a dog would have a hard time enjoying it. The potatoes and pancake really save the breakfast and their amazing drink cooler selection. I love an Energy V8 and this is one of the only place I know that has it as a drink cooler option. But now I know why there's always a crowd The food was delicious! I had eggs, bacon, toast, and a few of their special hash browns (cheddar and bacon). I had a peach mimosa to go along with it and my friend had a fried chicken breakfast sandwich with a cranberry mimosa. Instead of being seated and having someone take your order, you just order at the front and receive a buzzer so you can pick up your food when it's ready. The outdoor seating is great, lots of seating inside and covered inside a patio. There's even a playground area for kids. The only downfall is some of outdoor area isn't covered so when you walk out with your food you do get a little wet. But I believe they're working on that so everything will be covered. What a unique place! It's a small and cozy place in the heart of Germantown. Food was great too! We went on a Saturday morning and thankfully it was not terribly busy. You have to stand in line to place your order and then retrieve it when ready. I ordered a simple all American breakfast of eggs bacon potato kegs and a croissant. Tasty and hot the spot. I want to come back soon and try something more adventurous. My only comment is that they have good bread, and specifically croissants and brioche. They need to have some better jam choices. The only option was grape jelly in a squeeze packet. Potato keg is interesting. It's like a tater tot but filled with a cheesy oniony mashed potato type filling. My husband and I stopped in on New Years Day, surprised there was hardly a line - when I was here back in June there was a line a mile long that we waited in, but I guess most people were still in bed from the night before. When we walked in the dining room was full but after we ordered we found there is additional seating out back, you just must walk outside and around the corner to enter an enclosed patio with a fire pit that leads into a dining area. Despite the frigid temperatures it was warm inside. Coffee and Water are self-served, they will give you a coffee cup when you order it so it's not free, so we helped ourselves and went and found a seat. I walked back inside to wait at the "bar" - it's a little drink station to wait for the Mudslide I ordered, which is not blended. It has Chocolate Baileys, Evan Williams Burbon, Coffee Liquor, Cream, and it's topped with Whipped cream, Chocolate Syrup and Candies. It's very fun to say the least. It was good, however much too sweet for my taste, even with the bourbon. We probably waited about 10 minutes for our food to be ready. I ordered the Sausage "Corndogs" and my husband got the Shrimp and Grits. The corndogs were so good, the batter was light a fluffy and comes with syrup on the side. The order comes with 3 which I was honestly surprised for the price. The Shrimp and Grits was huge and full of Cajun flavor that came with 6 shrimp. a poached egg, charred corn with a bacon and bourbon sauce on top of a bed of white cheddar & Mascarpone Cheese Grits. For those with ADHD and won't read past the first sentence...this place is a 9.5/10!!! For those who read more than the first sentence...this is a service counter restaurant with no servers. You order at the window, take a buzzer, get your drinks and find somewhere to sit. We (a party of 4) showed up around 11 on a Sunday morning and the line was already out the door. We had a hard time deciding what to order because everything we saw coming out before us looked just as delicious as the last. After the owner greeted us and gave a run down while in line, we settled on the shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, bread pudding french toast with a side of bacon, and a chicken and bacon croissant sandwich. (I wanted to order the biscuits and gravy weekend feature but they were already sold out.) The girl at the register was polite but very soft spoken so we had trouble hearing what she said. The coffee was the perfect temperature for drinking immediately without scalding yourself, and the different flavorings and types of milk/cream to choose from was a major plus! There were no complaints about any of our food except the steak was a bit under seasoned. I had the french toast, and, in my opinion, is enough for 2 people. There was a bit too much whipped buttercream for me but I was able to rake off majority, and the fruit that came on top was so fresh! The bacon was thick sliced and 3 of my 4 pieces were cooked perfectly to my liking - not too crispy, not too soft! We all were part of the clean plate club after eating because the food was that good! I wished now we would have taken pics of our food before eating! It's a shame it came up as #16 on my Yelp search because it wasn't even the least bit on my radar for our breakfast spot. We got a number of different things to cry. Starting with the spam and egg sandwich, it was so good! I could only finish half the sandwich without getting too full to try the rest. But I definitely had it for dinner and it did not disappoint. My husband got the burrito and mentioned that it was a fullll burrito because you needed both hands to eat it but it was really flavorful as well. We tried the pancake corndogs, which were a bit tooo sweet for me. I did wish that it came as nuggets instead of a full dog because it would've been able to enjoy it more. The last item we got was the stuff potato tots. Those boys were loaded and full of flavor they were super crispy but definitely hearty. We stopped by here for a quick breakfast yesterday, right before we drove back to Detroit - we had been on vacation in Louisville for four days. I got the sausage "corn dogs," which was basically a breakfast corn dog (three of them - huge portion for $9.99!) with powdered sugar and maple syrup. My husband got some sort of pancake topped with pulled pork and onions. Our friends got a naan bread with toppings, and another sort of pancake, I believe. It was a great thick bread and had great flavor. Hash brown keg was very good, food portions are large, you get your money's worth. I have to warn that being in line and waiting for your food can take a while. They even have a sign at the cashiers that they are not a fast food restaurant so to please be patient. We stopped by around 11:00 on a Sunday morning and there was a line out the door. The line took about 45 minutes to get through; not sure what the line situation is like during other days and times but maybe don't go around this time if you're in a time crunch. There's SO MUCH outdoor seating!! We loved the vibes outside and it connects up with Hauck's corner. If you have kids with you they have a playground area to keep them entertained. Also a bar outside to keep the adults entertained. As for the food, it was amazing. It was kind of hard to pick because the menu has so many things I wanted to try. got the bacon croissant sandwich and my boyfriend got the ham croissant sandwich. Both delicious and I loved the aioli/sauce on it. We also split the empanadas with chorizo which were equally as good. Only complaint I can give is to the man that shouted at my aunt and uncle to go back step back if they weren't with us- it was just unnecessarily loud for being right in front of him and I thought it was obvious that we were all together (only 4 of us) but besides that the food was amazing, everyone else was sweet, not a long wait at all even with how busy they were.
