The sandwich comes with lettuce, tomato and onion. In my opinion, the sandwich needs a sauce. Hey Gavin, why don't you like sauce? Ketchup and mustard is on the table but that wouldn't go. I also had a side coleslaw which was great. I ended up topping my sandwich with the coleslaw to fill in the sauce gap for me. If I were to order this again, I'd ask for a Cajun Mayo or maybe ask the server if there is a sauce recommendation.

Yesterday, I decided that I would not be cooking dinner and instead opted to order pizza and dessert to be picked up on my way home. This is such a cute, quaint little shop located in a tiny strip mall next to a gas station. So very unassuming, yet quite impressive. I loved the two cute yellow tables and chairs out on the sidewalk as well as the Sinatra that was playing when I entered the shop. I was greeted warmly and let me say how much I value a pleasant and genuine interaction like that. Someone came to the front of the store from the kitchen in the back, and she too greeted me with a very welcoming and warm smile. This fact alone makes me want to return and support this place of business. My pizzas were prepared fresh and handed to me hot out of the oven. The deserts, an assortment of 3 different kinds of cookies as well as two slices of cake, were kept separate and cold. My husband loved the pizza (he is somewhat of a connoisseur) and I enjoyed it as well. The carrot cake was a bit dense for my liking and the pistachio ricotta was decadent. My husband really enjoyed these sweet treats as a night cap! I loved the cookies. I ordered the Peanut Butter Brownie Swirl cookie, the Pistachio Chocolate Crunch cookie, and two of the Pistachio Thumbprint cookies. My personal favorite was the Pistachio Chocolate Crunch cookie. It had a great contrast in texture with the soft-baked cookie being perfectly complemented by the crunch of the pistachio pieces, and it wasn't overly sweet. I'll definitely be back to try more cookies, cakes and pastries in the future! They also carry some authentic imported Italian products, such as pomodoro sauce.

For you broadripple people, think good morning mamma's, but without the feeling of being shoehorned into a space that is too small, yah, I get it, an old gas station is neat repurposed as a breakfast spot, that is until you have to get there at 7:30 on the weekends or wait for an hour and a half for a table if you don't. Admittedly, upon this, my first visit to this here eggs joint for lunch thru the week, not quite comparable until I try it at 9:30am on a nice Saturday morning, but at least this place has probably about at least twice to 3x the seating, and even with that the tables are an adequate distance from each other, no sobro claustrophobia for bfast like you would find at say, the almost unbearably small, crowded and irritating so called "french bistro" petite chou (which is on its last long downward swing into irrelevance, pretence & overpriced slop of a menu) read more

The wild eggs creations are a must-try - a delightful twist to classic favorites. Friendly staff but while attentive service is appreciated, frequent check-ins can be disruptive. First visit and was really blown away from my "eggsperience"! First, hostess greeted us with a smile and helped accommodate some special needs we had for our table, well done. Secondly, our server Shanet was the most hospitable server that I've had the pleasure to dine with, keep it up! The food was WAY above the norm for breakfast in the area. Presentation was not an afterthought like very many breakfast concepts that I've dined with in Indianapolis. I had the Kalamity Katie's and the flavor profile was very well executed. We went here when it first opened and the wait time for the food was pretty long. We chalked it up to working out the flow of the restaurant since they just opened. Today we can back (several months later) and the wait staff is very friendly but the time spent waiting on the food to arrive has yet to improve. Very disappointed in waiting so long for breakfast food to arrive. The omelet we ordered also had changed in quality from the first time. Very disappointed. Won't be going back. The cream cheese and pico de gallo were outstanding... and the blueberry muffin served with it is soooo sweet (very sugary) but warm and delicate. Morning Breakfast and Brunch

(44 reviews)

All breakfast joints are basically the same ... until they're not. This fact, alone, won we over to…read moreMornings. There is much more going on here than what the name implies, because Mornings has an unexpected Spanish flair to their menu. This was a pleasant discovery and makes me want to return soon to explore more of the menu. I love breakfast. I especially love splurging and eating breakfast out. I feel like eating breakfast at a restaurant is so indulgent. It's so simple and convenient to eat breakfast at home. To take the time to leave the house and enjoy a sit-down restaurant for the first meal of the day is so extravagant. I know I sound crazy, but I'm serious. Breakfast dates just hit different. And breakfast dates with your mom for her birthday are even more special. But here is my issue with most breakfast joints: they are all the same. It always makes me laugh when you are going to meet someone for breakfast and a lengthy discussion ensues over where to go. Does it even matter? They all serve the same things: Multiple forms of eggs, pancakes, french toast, breakfast meats and probably a "skillet" meal. You might be lucky enough to find a chef who knows how to prepare a proper eggs benedict (The key? Restraint. A little hollandaise goes a long way), but beyond that, pick wherever you want to go. The menu will most likely be a carbon-copy. Well, color me surprised when I gazed upon the menu at Mornings! A carne asada skillet, the bad hombre omelette with chorizo, black beans and habanero cheese. They also offer tres leches pancakes, four types of benedcits and chilaquiles. This menu was fresh and different compared to mose midwestern breakfast establishments. This came as such a welcomed surprise. After receiving a hot cup of coffee, I decided on the chilaquiles. I had only heard of this dish, but had never had the opportunity to try it out. Have you ever had a dish that you didn't particularly enjoy, and yet you could tell that it was made really well? This was my experience with chilaquiles. If you aren't familiar, chilaquiles are tortilla chips that have been simmered in salsa rojo or verde. I was slightly concerned about ordering wet tortillas, but I am always down for a new experience. Honestly, I won't be ordering the chilaquiles, again. They were pretty much what I expected after reading the description. However, I was still impressed with the dish. Mornings did a great job, and I would actully recommend them to someone who enjoys chilaquiles. Personally, I would rather try some other dishes and flavors on the menu. But my thought was simple: If I am enjoying a dish that I don't seem to be a fan of now that I have tried it, how great are the rest of thes dishes on the menu that I know I would enjoy! Whether its a solo trip, a nice birthday date with my mom, or a breakfast burrito to go to savor after my morning yoga class, I will definitely be back to Mornings.

There was probably half a pan of cornbread in there. I enjoyed it but no way I could finish it even though I did arrive hungry. If you don't like spicy food, no worries here; it was not even slightly spicy. They do have a nice assortment of hot sauces on the table to help if you do like spice. My spouse had a short stack of pancakes, which she liked. The food also came out hot, which is so important for breakfast food. Kudos on that! When we arrived there were dirty dishes stacked on every empty table in the restaurant. The employees did their best to be friendly but it was clear they were harassed, and the service was incredibly slow. I would estimate that it took about 25 minutes (maybe 30) from the time we ordered until we got our food. During that time we weren't offered a coffee refill until the food arrived, and the water we asked for didn't arrive until our food did. We didn't even see our waitress for about 20 minutes, and this isn't a big restaurant. I realize that every restaurant struggles to find enough employees in the current environment. Maybe we just need to eat out less and cook at home more. But it's hard when you're traveling, as we are. This restaurant has the food down, but the service is a problem, or at least it was today. My party of three visited on a Sunday at 11:30ish a.m., and there was a 25 minute wait. Then we waited another 30 minutes for our food. The moral of the story is that if you want to visit during weekend brunch hours, you need to bring your patience. Water and drinks were served promptly, though. They also offer self-serve coffee, so you don't need to wait for a refill. We ordered the lavender lemonade, which was nice and sweet and not too floral, but was a beautiful hazy lavender hue. My favorite thing at Cafe Patachou is the California Dreamer, which is an omelette filled with avocado, white cheddar, sour cream and jalapenos. It has a little bit of a kick from the jalapenos, but even still, I'm so much of a California girl that I requested hot sauce. It comes with arugula and your choice of toast. I always get the cinnamon toast at Cafe Patachou, because it's the best cinnamon toast I've ever had, full stop. We also got the Green Goddess salad, no protein. It was very good and included spinach, avocado, cucumber, tomatoes, radish, sugared pecans, feta, hard-boiled egg and green goddess dressing. This is a tasty salad, and is great if you want a little something that feels healthy and light. One thing to keep in mind is that when there are lots of people in the dining room, it can be loud. I felt like I had to raise my voice to talk to the people at my table. Another thing to keep in mind is that if you have to wait for a table, there are some swinging seats a few steps away from the restaurant, so you can go sit there and swing for a bit while you wait for them to text you that your table is ready.
