Food was great!!! I was hesitant on trying this place because I thought it was a fancy egg place but not exactly what I thought it was. Though some of the ingredients were a little healthier but the food was great. We ate lunch and had the burger with home fries and the taco salad. We will definitely be going back and trying out the breakfast items. Con was that service was slow and the water tasted nasty. It took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge we were waiting to be seated and then the waitress near brought us refills on our drinks. We saw her only a couple of times. This was a great place to grab breakfast with a huge variety of options. My husband had the chicken and waffles, which coming from Nashville, we can say were legit and had just the right amount of kick! My 3 1/2 year old had the kids' French toast which was a plentiful portion for a very affordable price. I had Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict, which our awesome server, Ashley, said was the most popular item. It was delicious! I gave the restaurant 4 stars instead of 5 because I had ordered my eggs poached easy, but they came out poached hard. Within moments of letting our server know, however, the kitchen cooked up and delivered new, perfectly poached eggs and I truly appreciated their quick, friendly remedy to the issue. The white gravy was fantastic, so good, the best white gravy I've ever had. On the side were breakfast potatoes. They were soooo good. Cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly. Normally when a breakfast comes with skillet potatoes, I just think, "MEH". Not this time. These potatoes were super tasty. I also had the coffee of the day, Hazelnut Brulee. It was good too. Went to lunch there, the wait staff is very nice but doesn't know the product. When the food came I was very excited for Bowling Green. I miss Austin's eateries here, but my taste buds were happy! The Decor is Kitsch and fun. I have brought others in to love the eggselent food. The next experience the restaurant wasn't half full, there was a lot of staff but everyone seemed overwhelmed. It made you want to help or ask the manager to help the staff, maybe she didn't know what to do. Our order was wrong but still tasty. This was fantastic! I had never eaten at a Wild Eggs before, and there were so many vegetarian and gluten free options I wasn't sure which to choose. I got the garlic mushroom scramble and my husband got the Mexico City Maria's Chilaquiles. Mine was great, but his was better. And I'll beat myself over not having gotten it! But the flavors were great and didn't rely heavily on the eggs doing all the heavy flavor lifting. Everything in it had a reason and added to the experience of the meal. Loved my Wild Eggs experience! Very bright and welcoming, staff was fast and friendly but the best part of it all was the breakfast! The amount of options you have are great, no matter what you are in the mood for. The Cinnamon rolls and Bananas Foster was split amongst our table and both were a hit. The cinnamon rolls come in a skillet so they are nice and hot when they come out. The bananas foster is cold...but that's because it comes with ice cream! Heavenly! We ordered a breakfast burrito (large and comes with fun extras like avocado and sour cream!), their famous Surfer Girl omelet and the creole omelet. The everything muffin is great by itself, no need for butter or jam! Best part is the grits of the day. They offer specialty grits that change out throughout the week. Although the place is very much a generic looking strip plaza food place the interior decor is nicely done, but the food looks like it's coming from a 5 star kitchen, which in my books this place is.
