This restaurant is bigger on the inside then it looks from the outside which took me by surprise. We showed up around 10am and was sitted right away. The waiter brought out a pitch of ice water with lemon which was a nice treat. The fresh sqeezed orange juice was the best I have ever tasted. The Food speaks for it's self. Some of the items on the menu are delicious, but other things are bland or just too messy. Also , some portion sizes are large ( 2 thick plate-sized lemon raspberry pancakes) , while for the same price the berry crepes are very small. They must have made those crepes in the same small skillet I use to fry a single egg. While the lemon pancakes were tasty, the plate was swimming in juice which looked bad, was messy and prevented us from taking the sodden pancake home. Raspberry sauce would be better on the side. The eggs with feta cheese and wild mushrooms was delicious, but the homefries were lukewarm and tasteless. Everyone at the table agreed about the homefries. Amazing place for breakfast/brunch with good customer service. Lots of food options to select from. I ordered the surfer girl omelette, which was delicious and came with savory grits and a side muffin. The fresh squeezed orange juice also hit the spot. Very few places offer fresh squeezed juice so to be able to enjoy a cup in the morning was a delight. It's the details that count in this place. They have fresh coffee for customers waiting to be seated, they are flexible when it comes to adjusting your menu choice, and they make sure to bring all necessary condiments to the table before you're order arrives. The meat and eggs were cooked perfectly. Home fries were just the right amount of greasy and with a light onion flavor. The OJ is a highlight! Quite possibly the best, and two large glasses drive the price of my meal up over 30$ but it was worth it! The big breakfast justifies the price because I won't get hungry until dinner time. I also had the made from scratch buttermilk pancakes. The syrup was not pure maple, but it was better than most breakfast places and it complemented the buttery pancakes. They tasted good, definitely home made. A little dense, so I'd like to see them fluffier but not thicker- they were thin which is good. 4/5 but I am hard to please when it comes to flapjacks! They were also a little pale, but this didn't affect the flavor. Add a little more buttermilk or a dab of sour cream to the mix to get them gold or brown them up a bit. Possibly more baking soda so they'll fluff up and not be quite as dense. Butter was whipped, not my favorite because it introduces water which does not belong and dilutes the flavor. Tried it again. We had a suboptimal experience a few months back with regard to service. That time, the manager offered explanations on why we didn't receive prompt service by sharing that some staff weren't scheduled to come until later in the shift. And she owned some of it by saying they were looking for another manager. ??! We gave it a go today and I am sad to share that Wild Eggs at this location has slipped a little more. We initially didn't mind the 15 minute wait on Sunday morning at 0930a. Totally okay with it until we sat down amidst a sea of empty tables and watched the flow of the server team and lack of management oversight. It is unfathomable that a place that size would average 7 open tables with people standing around to be sat. After experiencing the place today my wife and I agree the bulk of their issues seem to center on processes rather than people. Staff we encountered were nice but note that at the beginning of the shift the manager should look at the cleanliness of the work attire. Servers and bus staff wear tan pants. More than a few looked as though they were into multiple days without washing them. Honestly, if a server's pants can get that soiled from 7a opening to 9:30a of us sitting down then perhaps aprons should be considered along with some training enhancements for the staff members unable to avoid getting coated in food from the belt down. As usual the food was very good even though the wait for our food came in at 27 minutes. Summary Poor floor/table management keeps people waiting unnecessarily. Slow kitchen Good server this time but couldn't disregard the workers with overly dirty pants Good food-creole omelet, granola, juices.... My husband and I are in from New England and needed brunch before our corvette factory tour. We each had a different kind of eggs Benedict (there are four kinds on the creative and extensive menu). Every bite we ate was impeccable--so delicious! The hash browns were some of the best we've ever had. Our server was also lovely and gave excellent service. This may have been the best breakfast I've ever eaten. But first I will speak of the establishment. It is a adorable restaurant that is clean, simple, but well executed. We were excited that they had outdoor seating during the COVID season. Service was good. The breakfast potatoes were a bit old tasting but remainder of meal was good.
