    Grilled! Grouper
    Ozkn O.

I ordered a grilled grouper. It was worst fish I have ever had. The fish is definitely NOT grilled in any standard. I am sorry but you spoiled my grouper. Why don't you simply deep fry it to make it even worse!?

Very professional and very clean facility. The food is most excellent and the chips/salsa was some of the best I've ever had. This place is a hidden gem in the area!

Upscale Mexican restaurant. Maybe a little pricy for the offerings but a good choice.

Best salsa and best fish tacos in town. This is a very clean and well-decorated place. It looks upscale.

We are all three of us longtime restaurant industry veterans and foodies, so we can be pretty harsh judges sometimes. The minute I walked through that door I KNEW it was going to slap. The decor, the menu, the ingredients, THE HOMEMADE HOT SAUCES ( which if they sold I would absolutely buy ) , the drinks, the ambiance, they did GOOD. Real good. They were even mindful enough to put a very well decorated play area for children in the back. No notes. 10/10. Will brag about it until the cows come home. I didn't get our servers name, but he had a spider tattoo behind his ear and was very kind, attentive and made good suggestions. The homemade ice cream and the caramel filled churros at the end had us absolutely euphoric with how good they were. To find a place like this in Dickson Tennessee was a shock, and would be happy to see them open more locations!

I was quickly seated and brought a plate of home made tortilla chips with some warm mole sauce for dipping. Heaven! I tried the mole tamale, and the tacos enmoladas. The tamale was wrapped in a large banana leaf, rather than a corn husk. It had a fantastic ratio of chicken mole filling to masa; I'd say 75% filling. It was warm and moist and oh, so delicious. Best tamale I've had in a long time. The tacos enmoladas were rolled chicken tacos that were first fried, and then covered in mole sauce, and topped with shredded lettuce and Oaxacan cheese. The perfect balance of crunchy and smooth, a bit sweet and a lot savory. Served with a side of crema for dipping. The portion was so large I couldn't finish it at lunch. The servers were friendly; a working knowledge of Spanish is helpful (but not necessary) here. Total including tip was about $23. Next time I'll try the tacos and burritos from the whiteboard menu. Highly recommended for a fabulous and reasonably prices Oaxacan meal.

On our visit, we had to wait far too long for basic things like drink refills, napkins, and chips and salsa. To top it off, our server literally threw the bill on the table and said, "have a nice day." This wasn't our first visit, which made the experience even more surprising. Hoping it was just a bad day, we came back the very next day for lunch. That's when things got worse. We were told that as repeat customers, we were "taking advantage" of the chips and salsa and were limited to three bowls--even when dining with a group and spending over $150 on a meal. When we spoke to the manager, he dismissed our concerns and even commented that my husband eats too much salsa. That was honestly one of the most unprofessional responses I've ever heard. Great food, but the service and attitude toward loyal customers are extremely disappointing.

It was kind of odd because it was country music on the radio and not even a hint of normal Mexican restaurant decor. The chips and salsa was very, very good! Salsa tasted so fresh, and chips must be made as needed because they were so warm and flaky. The food was really good and inexpensive. They offered lunch specials; I had the #4 (1 taco, 1 enchilada, and beans and rice). My wife had the #1 Chicken Chimichanga. Our friends shared and enjoyed the Grande Quesadilla. All in all, we were very pleased. Just a random stop along our travels with a surprisingly good ending.
