I also grabbed a brownie for my daughter in law and 3 cat shaped chocolate truffles. Total- $35. Woof. I knew the brownie was 5.99. I just paid and hoped everything tasted as good as the price indicated. The truffles were decadent, I took the honeycomb on my cruise as a sweet treat for the week & Sophie loved the brownie- so, kinda win. My other ding was the lack of customer service. There were a few of us in the shop, I just had one person ahead of me in line- but the cashier came off as bored. Hopefully it was a one off, for the tourist prices, you could be a bit hospitable. Outside seating was stunning, the gardens throughout this little shopping cove are gorgeous! Next time I'll just try one thing!

Praised as the "Best Pie Place" in Seattle, I had to see for myself what their pies were like. Situated in Langley, its a small storefront that is connected to a similarly sized cafe. In front there are some parking spots that usually aren't full. They sell pies by the slice, whole pies, and there are even frozen whole pie options available in the freezer. There is complimentary water but not much seating options. The pies are baked daily I believe BUT if you have the chance to get one of the freshly baked pies (only been on the shelf an hour or so), you'll get some of the most beautiful crust experiences. All 3 times I've been I've reached for the Marionberry pie and every single time it's been a hit for whoever I end up bringing here. They have gluten free options for the pies as well but there is no guarantee that there would be a gluten free option for every pie-- I could be wrong on that, I would recommend calling in advance. A wonderful little pie store for a lovely little town, I would definitely come back again! The first time I asked the person behind the counter about the flavor profile of their Marionberry and their seasonal flavor, they were super helpful and descriptive. I saw that they now sell their pies through retailers now which would let me have their pies without having to travel as far. Love the pie here and love the ambiance of this small store!

Warm, gooey chocolate center that basically hugged my soul, surrounded by ice cream that tasted like it was made by people who actually care. The workers? Absolute legends. You can tell everything is made from scratch and with care. I have tried many of the menu items, and have loved each one. Their soups are amazing. I once read that a great chef once said, if you can make a good soup, you are an excellent cook. Judging by their soups alone, Sugar Mama's is outstanding. Their bakery items are addicting. I love all their cookies, and their cakes are scrumptious. And IMHO, they make hands down the BEST coffee in town. The staff at Sugar Mama's are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They treat you like you are family. They are welcoming and kind, and make you feel really happy and comfortable, so you enjoy your food even more. The ambiance is perfect.
