This spot seriously hit the spot. I ordered the Laguna Caprese and added both capicola and bacon, and it completely elevated the sandwich. The capicola added that perfect salty, slightly spicy depth while the bacon brought a smoky crunch that paired so well with the fresh mozzarella avocado, and tomatoes. Everything tasted super fresh and high quality, and the balance of flavors was honestly perfect--not too heavy but still really satisfying. The bread was soft with a slight crisp on the outside, holding everything together without getting soggy. You can tell they really care about their ingredients and how everything is put together. It felt like a simple sandwich turned into something way more elevated with just those add-ons. Definitely one of the best sandwiches I've had in Laguna Beach and I'll 100% be coming back for the same order.

They have a small parking lot in the rear otherwise park on the street since it is on the main street of coast hwy. Came after the beach activities and was pleased! Its been awhile since I had a simple sandwich and they have some great selections! They have seating towards the back which is like a shaded outdoor area with a bar and TV's Very cute and homey its like you walked into someones well kept backyard Ordered; 2 bags of chips and 1 can soda the spicy tuna melt/nicks way (you can order this in different ways: regular tuna melt, either traditional or nicks way) And a bacon avocado turkey sandwich which were both flavorful and filling all their sandwiches from what i learned are about 8in long I highly recommend

Maybe I was affected by driving all day from Phoenix, but the sandwich I had here totally hit the spot for a quick dinner. There was no waiting in line and service was fast with a helpful cashier who also made some of the sandwiches. While they were out of my favorite Dutch crunch bread (must arrive earlier in the day instead of an hour before closing next time!), the French roll used to hold all the fillings was as perfect as could be without being Dutch crunch. All the fillings on my Gabagool Grinder were fresh. I'd maybe have liked more pepperoncinis on it, but that's more of a "me problem." It wasn't cheap at $16 for the sando, but it was big enough to share and even Subway footlongs are 10-15 bucks these days. There is a bar in the back with more seats than the handful of tables in front, so we sat there to avoid traffic and have some shade. I'd definitely return.

I personally love an establishment where employees feel relaxed. I love when they talk with each other and have fun at their job. Everyone was friendly and inviting. They were kind to every person who came through the door. Yummy and generous sandwiches! Every bite was flavorful. The ingredients were fresh. Definitely want to return!

We'd just rolled into Laguna and wanted a light dinner. Wigz was a terrific sandwich place right by our hotel. They have a lot of great menu items and I was also able to customize my own simple turkey sandwich. We were super bummed they were out of Dutch Crunch bread (understandable one hour before closing) so we got our sandwiches on a French roll. We were pleasantly surprised to find that those rolls were amazing too. Like, first bite "Oh my god, these are great" good. We'd thought about taking the sandwiches back to our hotel room, then we noticed a cute shaded patio in the back so we ate there instead. Really nice people here and sandwiches you would definitely come back for.

we went on a weekday towards the end of the day, so it wasn't too busy and we were able to get our food quickly. The front looks small initially but they have a lot of seating in a back patio along with a bar to relax and eat. The food itself was pretty good, I got the veggie sando and my friend got the turkey bacon avocado. The veggie sando was delicious, but the turkey bacon avocado was a little dry. Would definitely come back after a long day on the beach though!

We came for lunch and the place was busy, there were a good amount of online and in-person orders. They have seating out front, inside, and in the back. Came here for lunch and never again! It took so long to get our food for just two sandwiches. We thought ordering, waiting for our food, and eating would take about 45 minutes and we had to feed the meter more money. We assumed a sandwich place wouldn't take so much time... The sandwiches were even worth it. Maybe I don't like squaw bread (I haven't had it before), but it seemed like a weak bread. The sandwich itself was packed with ingredients, which is great, but the bread just completely falls apart with all that plus the liquid from the veggies. To make it more manageable I ended up taking out about half the meat from the sandwich. It also had way too much mayo. You can see the layer in my photo. My partner got the spicy tuna and it wasn't much better...the sandwich was also a messy. There was too much liquid (kind of seemed like the tuna wasn't drained enough in addition to the liquids from the veggies) that it also fell apart. There's 2 outdoors seating areas (one in front and one in the back) in addition to the couple of seats inside.

Wigz is a cute little sandwich shop on PCH, popular with locals. We ordered a couple of sandwiches and sat outside, where you could see the ocean in the distance. The Spicy Tuna Melt ($14.25), which the cashier said was her favorite, lived up to its name, with a bit of heat from the spicy mayo. The Laguna Caprese ($12.45), which also had some spice from the same mayo, had a thin slice of tomato and lots of pesto. The Spicy Tuna Melt was definitely the stronger of the two. Sandwiches come with a pickle spear. Friendly service!

Love this sandwich shop in Laguna Beach! The sandwiches were refreshing and the bread had the perfect flake to it. The workers were kind and helpful when choosing our orders. It's a small restaurant with some outdoor seating. I would definitely come back when in the area and bring it to the beach.

What a little gem! Sandwiches are one of my favorite foods, and this place does it right! We got the Turkey Pesto and the Tuna Avo. I've been looking for a place that doesn't put onions in their tuna, and I finally found it. (They do put some on your sandwich, if you want.) They have a beautiful outdoor area for sitting and some tables in front over look PCH. The staff is friendly and helpful. They went so far as to tell us about trivia in the outdoor courtyard during the week. We will definitely go! Check this place out. It's great!

My boyfriend and I were in the area craving sandwiches and came across this hidden beauty! The selection of sandwiches definitely caught our eye and we knew we had to try. They also had a large selection of chips to pair with your sandwich and that was a nice addition! My boyfriend and I shared our own half of the Laguna Italian and the Toasted Spicy Tuna Melt (Nick's Way). We LOVED the switch in taste of the two going from a refreshing bite of the italian and the richness of the tuna. The pickle on the side really did it for me. Next time, I definitely have to ask them to toast up the Italian because the crunch on the Tuna Melt was so insane that I kept coming back to it for the crisp! Our food came out quick and fresh! There is an outside bar in the back with plenty of seating as well as some seats in the front. Definitely stop by here if you're in the area.

After a beautiful morning at Woods Cove Beach in Laguna, I swung by this spot and tried The Laguna Italian--and wow! I added jalapeños and spicy mayo, which took it to the next level. It came loaded with salami, ham, capicola, shredded lettuce, tomato, red onion, pepperoncini, Italian dressing--all served on Dutch crunch bread. Delicious--fresh, flavorful, and highly recommended! Great customer service and super friendly staff too.

Their sandwiches are so good! My dad has been a regular at this sandwich joint and I finally got a chance to try it to see what the hype was about. I got the veggie on sqaw and added roast beef to it. I loved variety of the vegetables in my sandwich, especially the sprouts! One thing I wish the staff could change is wearing gloves while preparing the delicious sandwiches. I want to try more items on their menu next time. read more

This was the best sandwich I think I've had in my whole life!! I got the Melvin, which had turkey, Dijon, lettuce, banana peppers, red onion and avocado. Literally to die for. I'm not in laguna often but will want to make the trek just to visit this spot. read more

Wonderful sandwich shop; spot on flavors of what you expect. No hidden ingredients, but straightforward deliciousness. Laguna Italian and turkey bacon avocado were amazing! A grand selection of craft and local brews on draft and canned to go, was so immense it took me a few minutes to go through. Come here frequently and they serve good sandwiches. Typically good customer service and quality food overall. Today came in and the place was pretty empty Monday at 5:55 pm. Guy cuts in front of me to pick up an order. The lady at register then informs me she can't take my order as they are closing in two minutes. She was nice about it but never asked anything at all as I had a bottle of water and chips at register for her to clearly see. I looked down and said ok and casually put the chips and water back. How can you stop ringing up water and chips two mins before closing?? Terrible customer service and I won't be back if that's how you treat regular customer. read more

A real hidden gem/locals spot in Laguna that is right now not too crazy busy. You wouldn't know it from the street, but this place has a really great back patio away from the hustle and bustle of PCH. I happened across their opening week after dropping of my son at Cho's Academy (another 5 star Laguna establishment) and it's quickly become a favorite. Solid sandwiches, big portions and some pretty unique combinations. The happy hour has to be one of the better deals in Laguna and the humus plate is awesome. They serve it with little sliced toast and they don't last long at our table. Really only improvement would be better salsa with their chips & salsa - it's more like a pico de gallo. read more

This has been an amazing addition to Laguna Beach. Great sandwiches, family friendly environment and welcoming staff make this a must stop for lunch. I love the back patio at this place. They have games you can grab to play as they make your sandwich. Jenga is always a hit with my family. As far as sandwiches my favorite is the turkey bacon avocado on the roll. Kids love the plain kids sandos. Any for the wife that doesn't eat bread they do sub in a tub. Wigz is now our favorite deli in Laguna. Pro tip drop your car at sweet water car wash a block down and then grab a sando! read more

If you don't eat at wigz do you even sandwich? This place is amazing, awesome quality, awesome bang for your buck. I eat it as often as I can which honestly turns out to be at least a few days a week. Laguna is a special place with a ton of character and amazing local spots and this is one of them. Don't bother going to any chain restaurants while you're here, support local and come by wigz for the real stuff. It's also got a perfect location across the street from my favorite beach in Laguna perfect beach food! Ambiance is dope and service is amazing! read more

Just went in got 6 sandwhiches and every single one had the wrong bread and was soggy how the fuck is it soggy after we just got it handed to us very dissapointed this was a birthday lunch :/ it took 15 mins to get a parking and like 20 mins waiting just for the whole order to be fucked up , even the guy before us got a turkey instead of his tuna ! Went to wigz with high expectations. It looked great from the outside and the menu looked good too. We ordered one turkey, bacon, avocado and one Italian sub. They were $16 each goddamn. I would pay that much for a sandwich if it was big and/or really delicious but the sandwiches we got were pretty small and the bread was hard to chew and dry as hell. Also, they forgot the bacon on our turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich, what the hell that's the best part. Overall wigz severely let us down and we were left hungry and wishing we had gone to Jersey Mike's. Do better wigz. read more

1st time here and got the Laguna Italian and Turkey Bacon Avocado. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. Very high quality ingredients and great value as the portions are generous. The place itself is also a great vibe with al fresco seating in front and back patios and fun music. Staff were super friendly and efficient. They also have a great selection on tap and games to play. It's the perfect place for dine in or grab and go on the way to the beach. Will definitely be back whenever I'm in town. read more

From the moment you walk in you can tell this is not some corporate BS sandwich shop. The vibe is super chill which is what you'd expect being in Laguna Beach. The sandwiches are AMAZING!!! I tried the classic roast beef and was not disappointed. Everything tasted fresh and delicious and can we talk about the bread?? The Dutch crunch is perfection! Have been here 5 x now the turkey Sando is great, the roast beef is awesome especially if you add horseradish, the corned beef was flavorful and really tasty. The veggie sando was excellent as well. There's a back patio with games to play and hangout. Service is excellent at this family run business, is just what laguna needs, keep up the good work! Plenty of beers and booch on tap and a well stocked fridge full of any drink you could want! Support locals and you won't be disappointed. Fair prices and friendly staff! read more

Saw the great yelp reviews and they were spot on. Wanted simple. Got the Laguna Italian and was one of the better Italian I've had in a bit. Got a happy hour $5 draft and sat out front looking at ocean. Sub came quick. Enjoying the view, so had another draft as sun set. Sub was packed with meat. Basically was the picture, which is rare these days. Lots on the menu to try. Louisia was very helpful on all. Great staff, great food, good prices and great view. All you can ask. read more

Parking during the lunch hour can be a problem, you may have to walk a bit from the upper neighborhood. Some of the residents there do not hold back their disdain for tourists parking in front of their homes. Place your order outside, like a fast food joint, get a number and sit down somewhere after you get your drinks from another outside window. They are very busy here and have a good system in place to process and complete the orders. The wait time for your food is minimal. The vibe here is touristy yet the crowd is young. Beach goers mostly I suspect. Picnic tables inside with an assortment of round patio tables and chairs inside and out. The burgers taste good. They are a double patty, so they were cooked up quickly and were definitely served hot off the grill. The meat is without much taste. The cheese is American which is nothing more than a mysterious blend of yellow ingredients, few which are probably real dairy products. It does melt easily though and kind of makes a runny addition to the sauce they use. Flavor from the sauce and the texture from the meat made the burger interesting but not great. Probably on the level of an In and Out puck. The bun was ok, it held up well to the sauces. Since this a well cooked double patty, there was no juice to sog up the bun. Of course the lack of juice makes the overall product lacking. The fries are great and ample but the stingy amount of catsup provided is almost good enough for only half the fries. The ice tea is average and very small. It is not enough to wash down the meal. Make sure you get waters because your ice tea will not be refilled.

My favorite place to eat a casual meal in Laguna Beach. I have had most of the items on the menu and love them all. The bread is amazing - Dutch crunch or the squaw are my favorites. All of the meats are top quality. The outdoor dinning is always relaxing and they usually have great tunes playing. Cool vibe. And the best part is the service.
