Mario came out to install a new pool pump as ours was very old & not running well so from the time I called Wight Water Pool Service on Monday, asked questions about the different pool pumps they recommended, I was given straight forward information & no one tried to up sale me to get the more expensive one! They were very informative, gave me unbiased & truthful information so that I could decide what was the best for our use! The installation was then done on Wednesday, just 2 days after my call & in these days, that's what I call timely. Mario met my husband, always calling before hand, installed the pump, made sure the filter and everything else was working, added chemicals that were needed & our pool is nice & clean again! We have had great, courteous service each time we have used them & we recommend them highly! read more

Highly recommend this honest Company! Our home warranty AHS sent out a different company who got our claim denied because of a bogus reason of our pool motor being a single speed (don't fall for that if you are told similar)! Jon of wight water informed me of this common ploy to get AHS out of paying an expensive claim, I did as he recommended with AHS Mario of Wight water came out and got AHS to cover the broken motor. And he was able to fix it same day! Mario even cleaned our DE filters before leaving. So thankful to Wight Water! read more

Jon is a great guy. I am a general contractor and have used him on my pool jobs. He has change out equipment with no problems. No hidden fees. He has also maintained pools on vacant houses. The other best thing is you can buy equipment off store and do some urself. I learned it is better to just let him do it instead. They get it done fast and "Wright" the first time! read more

So, this will be a long but thorough and thoughtful review. I absolutely do not recommend that anyone use this service. They are unethical and unprofessional. Save yourself the headache. Read on to find out our experience.This is not our regular pool service. We needed the filters to be looked at and they are covered by homeowners insurance so this is a vendor, one of not many, that was selected by the insurance. The young man came and agreed that the filters were torn and needed to be replaced. Ok great. But in small talk, he was going on about how his dad owned the company, my Mom was like ok cool thats great. The visit concluded and the young man drove away with the understanding that he would be back at another appointed time with the parts needed. Five minutes later, he pulls back up to tell my Mom the insurance is not going to cover said repairs. My mom goes on to explain to him yes it will. If he reports accurately about the issue, the filters are definitely covered. But wait...he was able to leave, get through to a national insurance carrier, AND get their answer and drive back in what could have been no more than five minutes? I mean I guess, but it seemed weird. As follow-up, my mom phoned Wight Water and not only did this persons dad NOT own the company (weird thing to lie about but whatevs), the report to the insurance had not been written or sent yet. Ok...still just weird. So insurance does cover repair and Jacob comes back out to fix it. My mom had intially asked him to look for any issues including leaks bc she has just had a feeling there was a leak somewhere. Jacob did not say anything about any leaks but her suspicion continued. He fixed the filters and left. Water was no longer green. The next day, her regular pool service came and this guy was great! He looked over everything and explained so much to us!! He asked if Jacob put DE in the pool. We did not see him do that during his visit so my mom called Wight water, they said he did. Well, that was a lie. So heres where the lies go from just weird to completely unprofessional and unethical. Regular pool service (but not our regular guy) backwashes the pool and can see no evidence of any DE that was put in. The new filters need DE. Ok, moving on...This gentlemen said for sure there are leaks so my mom got back on the phone and Wight Water would be coming back out to look for leaks. Which is what they were asked to do from the beginning. Jacob came back out and found 3 leaks. The insurance will cover this as well. So it takes Wight Water 5 days to send the report to the insurance. What happened to the 5 minute turnaround from earlier??? The insurance reaches out and says they will not cover repairs as it was reported to them that the leaks were caused by not having water in the the pool. Huh? Wtf? Um...so not true. Not at all. Jacob himself has been here 3 times in the last cpl weeks, our regular pool service has put chemicals....in air??? I also have random pics of nieces and nephews playing in pool that are all time/date stamped...when was the pool empty and why wouldn't Jacob tell us that while he was here? Now, the pool is 30 yrs old, there are previous owners like 10+ yrs ago, is that what they're referring to? My mom calls Wight Water to ask and things get ugly. The manager is yelling at her and telling her that definitely we RECENTLY had no water in the pool and thats what caused the leaks. She goes on to say thats not accurate. He also just tries to put it on the insurance but we all know the insurance will say its them so...basically Jacob was initially asked to find any and all problems from the beginning. He did not. He missed the leaks and in order to cover his a** he is saying there was no leaks but now there is bc we ran it without water. No, lets be resonable....what makes more sense: 1. A kid (who lies about even small things) missing leaks and now trying to cover it up by saying we had no water in pool when we have had other services out and I have verifiable proof and its been really really hot here..swimming weather, and we have reported green water to both Wight Water and our regular service. Can air b both air and green water?? 2. Its me and my mom trying to get the pool in good shape so her grandkids can swim. We dont know much about pools and pool systems. We rely on the services and money we spend to help us navigate this. Its almost feeling like were being taken advantage of and treated as if we're stupid women or something. Anyway, what a terrible experience. I hope to never have to deal with them again. Don't waste your money. There are plenty better companies in the central valley. read more

I was so frustrated with a green pool. First time pool owner here. Mario came on time, had all the supplies on hand. Not only did Mario clean my pool but he also answered any question I had, went above and beyond to explain our pump....label our pump and show us all the ins and outs for a healthy pool. Getting serviced in the Mountain area is difficult....we are thankful for the expedite service, our clean pool and the knowledge we know now! First I felt burned. I asked for a 'one time' cleaning and a diagnosis of my filter, which does not work properly, as well as a new seal installed in my back-flush piston, which I already purchased. They did next to none of that. They brought their own pump, and partially vacuumed to waste (I found large rocks and other debris in pool after they'd left), added some chlorine and replaced the seal. They didn't brush my pool, test the filter or look at the vacuum. I told them I had various chemicals; shock, clarifier, etc, but he added his and added it to my invoice. He said run the (non-working) filter 24/7 and it will be clean in 2 days. 7 days later and my pool is non swimmable and my electric bill is sky high. I called them and was blown off; but the next day the Mgr John called me and heard my complaints. He sent a different guy out a day later and made me whole. I appreciate the followup, and should be swimming by Sunday! read more

Worst pool service ever! Not sure what they do when they come to my house except skim the pool and pour in some liquid chlorine. I actually thought something was wrong with my pool pump and put in a request through my home warranty to have the issue investigated. A separate pool company came out and said my filter was completely clogged (new filter, approximately 6 months old and "cleaned" two months prior) and then asked if we manage the pool ourselves. Needless to say I was more than embarrassed to admit I actually pay someone to maintain my pool. The other company cleaned my filter and changed the settings to where they should be. My pool looked beautiful for 6 days until Wights came back and changed all the settings. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Do yourself a favor and either use another company or maintain your pool yourself. Update: I am not a competitor! The pool service account was under my husband's name and we live in Northeast Fresno. I never returned correspondence since my husband called over and over and OVER to complain yet the issues were never resolved! When they came to give an estimate, they broke the hose line into the pool wall connecting the Polaris, then charged me for it... But did me a "favor" by only charging me half of the cost. ($45) The initial service was recommended a filter clean for an additional $90, which I agreed to, ( $189 on day 1) only to have the office call me three weeks later saying my filter needed cleaning again. For another $90 which I declined. The technician was inconsistent on his schedule, showing up days after the scheduled day, emptying the baskets onto the ground instead of into the receptacle provided and completely removed the off pin from my auto filter schedule, causing the pump to run for 14 continuous hours....highly do NOT recommend. I get a bill last Friday for $156 dollars for 1 month of service (and the $45 cost to fix something their service manager broke upon initial visit, for which they showed up maybe... 6 times....not even doing a complete brushing that I paid for. Heads up folks. They want your filter running 24 hours so they don't have to work. 14 plus hours of pg&e is expensive to the customer, but obviously they only care about the least amount of work they can do. It's very common in the industry. Piece of advice. Buy locks for your auto timer boxes and make these people earn their money by actually doing what you pay for. These techs up your filter run time because it makes their job easier. They can skim by with just emptying baskets and dumping chlorine. Don't fall prey. Lock the boxes and make them earn their keep. My father owned a pool business, with stellar reviews, and he saved people money by having his techs not rely on filters but rely on the competency of their techs and making sure his customers got what they paid for. read more

Excellent! I was having trouble with my home warranty AHS, not wanting to cover a pool pump per the report given to them from the original pool company they sent out to look at it. I asked for a second opinion. Not only did John and Mario get it approved while they were at my house, Mario replaced it on that same and only visit, which by the way, was just the next day after being referred to them. I called yesterday morning. They came yesterday before noon. Curteous and knowledgable on the phone. Prompt. They came and diagnosed the problem with me next to them all the time. Unlike a lot of pros that don't want you anywhere near them, they showed me what they were doing without my even having to ask. I'm a gearhead, so I'm always interested in stuff like this. Unfortunately, they had to get major parts to fix my 20 year old system. Back as promised this morning, Mario and crew got the job done in a friendly and professional way. On the first visit they messed up my pool timer and took 2 weeks to fix it. They spilled some sort of gooey chemical on my pool deck and walk through it and tracked it all around. They guy put his metal clipboard on my nice slate patio table and slid it around scratching up table. When I tried to get him to fix the timer he would not take responsibility for messing up the program and said he would have to charge me to work on it. He denied spilling anything or even adding chemicals on his first visit. My wife watched him do it. He was argumentative and defensive. He would listen to what I was asking him to do to fix the timer. Now it runs for 8 hours a day on full speed. The pool service guy showed up the other day and spent less that 10 minutes at my house. He spent literally less than 2 minutes sweeping the pool. All this for $90 / month. I'm looking for a new pool guy as soon as I finish this review. read more

We've been using this company for years now. If there's ever a problem with the parts, they come right out to check and make it right. The same could not be said of the first pool company we hired almost twelve years ago. That company cleaned the pool tiles, and didn't vacuum up the mess, which wrecked the feet on the vacuum (expensive parts on that thing). Since then we've called Wight Water with no issues, and it's been about ten years now. They've installed a new pump and keep the whole thing working beautifully. read more

I recomend & appreciate this company, their service technicians (Pat) & their very cordial office staff & owner, Jon, are very knowledgeable & helpful, my pool has never looked better since I have had "Wright Pool Service." I know accidents happen & I had that experience, broken back/flush line, but Wright Pools made it right, at no expense to me. Everybody is human, therefore not perfect. When we started the service we PAID YOU guys to clean our filter and first month in advance its been three months and our filter already need cleaning? Most likely you guys didn't even clean the filter if it already needs cleaning, so you saying it's never been clean clearly states YOU guys didn't clean it but charged us?? That's unacceptable. We tied up our dogs when you guys complained about them although they were just playful and you could have easily called us over to get them away while you were working. we even repaired the leakage OURSELVES. and what does the dogs and leakage have to do with our pool never being crystal clear?? You guys expect US to make sure when the equipment is on? We obviously don't know much about what needs to be turned on If we are getting service for our pool although WE would had to clean the pool plus the vacuum filter and basket OURSELVES which is what YOU guys where supposed to do.
