Last year I sent this business photos of my pool as requested, they quickly gave me a price by text, and I immediately agreed to their price, saying, "Let's go ahead and do it." They immediately replied "We'll give you a date later today, thanks!" and then ... they never did get back to me. No text, no phone call, nothing. Well, it was near the end of pool season and my heart wasn't exactly broken: I wanted the pool tile cleaned in time for this new pool season, though, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I thought something bizarre or unusual must have happened last year. Their reviews were so good that I decided I'd give them another chance this year. So I replied to our old text message thread, saying: "Hi! We had this conversation (above) at the end of last pool season. You were going to get back to me on a date for a tile cleaning of $485? We are still interested in a tile cleaning if you are interested in the job." A week later... we have heard nothing. Not "Sorry you must have fallen through the cracks -- sure, we'd like to help!" Not "We've gone out of business, sorry." Not "New phone who dis" Nothing. It's really disappointing that they failed to reply -- twice -- to a customer who immediately agreed to their price, is very centrally located, and would arrange to be home any time they wanted, at their convenience. My pool tiles aren't that bad at all. There is no reason they would not want my business or my money. It's very strange they didn't reply -- especially because they have these great reviews. If something happens once, I give the benefit of the doubt. If it happens twice, I'll assume it's how they do business. So...be cautious. read more

I really didn't expect the hear from them until the next day so I could tell right away they wanted the business which is such a nice way to start off. I needed my brown pool tile cleaned. I had been trying to do it myself with chisels and sand paper etc but I just couldn't get it even close to ok. It had 40 years of calcium build up. Diane, the owner, had me take a picture and text it to her and a few minutes later, she sent me a quote. It was so reasonable that I thought, why not ask how much to repair the broken caulking between the tile and deck? So Diane gave me a quote on that too. It seemed reasonable so I asked for a quote for a handrail at the stairs (my 90 year old mother is having trouble getting out of the pool by herself). And what do you know? It was less than I expected since I knew the price of handrails from looking at amazon. They showed up when they said they would, came prepared, and got the job done hours before I thought they'd finish. My pool looks great! My brown tile looks brand new (although it's still brown), the handrail is straight, sturdy and exactly where I wanted it, and the caulking is perfect. Even my pool serviceman wanted to know the the name of the company and said they knew what they were doing. Now there's a good recommendation! read more

We had Pool Polishers clean our pool tile and it looks brand new again. Pool Polishers is a family owned business and we found Al and his sons to be very knowledgeable and reasonably priced. While they were working on the tile I asked if they fixed pool lights (ours hadn't worked in many years). I was told their dad handled that. So Al came by and said best case the light is burned out, or it could be the transformer, and worst case water had gotten in and the whole light would need replacing. We were given a fair price for all situations and luckily it was only the transformer which they fixed for us. I am very happy that I found Pool Polishers here on Yelp, as we had several years' worth of hard water stains that needed to be removed from our pool tile. I requested a quote through the app and before I knew it I got a text message from Diane (the owner) asking for the size of our pool and for a couple of pictures to show what kind of build-up we had on our tile. After moving into my new house, I discovered that I had to drain my pool because the water wasn't responding to chemicals. I figured that while it was empty, I'd get the tile cleaned and the pool acid washed. I selected Pool Polishers from Yelp because of the good reviews I read. I was so glad I did! I called on a Sunday expecting to leave a message, and was surprised when Diane picked up right away. By the middle of the afternoon they came out and were able to give me a very reasonable quote. Apparently, the reason for the water not responding to chemicals was the extreme calcification on the sides of the pool, evident from significant staining. Diane and Al were very knowledgeable and provided me with great advice. I ultimately decided to have the tile cleaned and an epoxy coating put over the plaster. Sean and Greg arrived exactly when we were told they would. It was fairly early. They were quiet while quickly setting up their equipment. They were cleaning some old pool tile for us, so had to drain a few inches of water. Silent pump completed that job in 15 minutes. My wife was still able to sleep a bit longer. They got to cleaning.... didn't make any noticable mess... their system kept the scale and calcium OUT of the pool so no adding of solids to the water. THAT is a Big Deal. Finished sooner than anticipated.... tile looked GREAT (for being 30 yrs old!) and they cleaned up and were gone shortly after that. You CANNOT ask for better value, more efficient service than that.
