Cleaning service started off very good, my pool was clean but little by little their service started to decline Barely serviced my pool. My pool stayed green. Didn't brush my pool nor empty baskets half the time. I complained to owner. He had my pool emptied by some one else, his friend I hired to cleaned build up on my tile. After pool was empty he came and splashed acid on my pool walls and left. Some of walls were still green. I complained and he had his friend come and throw acid on it. Then said go ahead and refill it with water it will be fine I complained and he quit. Left me hanging. I had to find another company to finish treating my pool after I filled it back up. Mike also refuse to refund me June payment. I paid him a month in advance every month. And he only service my pool twice this month. Benchmark pools is servicing my pool now. read more

What a GREAT work ethic Mike at Clovis Pool Care has! One of my family members (whom shall remain nameless, lol.) added shock to the pool on several occasions without turning the filter on and it totally stained the pool. Mike emptied the pool and tried and tried with different chemicals to get the stains off, but the stains were embedded deep into the plaster. Mike was able to get it faded, but it wasn't gone. Replastering costs START at $4,000 and go up, up up from there! Mike worked with us to navigate a solution, which ended up being epoxy pool paint! It saved us thousands!!!!! Disappointed would be an understatement for the following 0 star review (I had to choose at least one star to complete the review) . We use Clovis Pool Care for a monthly chemical service. Last Monday 7/20 we hopped in the pool after work like we do every single day. We both felt itchy and uncomfortable. Not thinking anything about it we showered and went on about the evening. We noticed the following day the pool was not looking clear and a bit green. On Wednesday we text Mike owner of Clovis Pool Care and let him know the pool was now very green and we needed service right away. We were told when he did his service on Monday the pool chemical levels were exactly where they needed to be and that he had shocked the pool. The pump had not been running after he shocked the pool and we then remembered being so itchy and uncomfortable on Monday. He said he would be there Friday and take care of the issue. Friday came and finally at 5:00PM we had to reach out to Mike asking when he would be there. He stated he got busy and would not be there until Monday. Not only did Mike not show up but he didn't even bother to call to let us know. The weekend quickly arrived and there was NO way we could use our pool, the water is now completely green with algae on the sides and bottom of the pool. We sent him a photo (attached to this review) and he again let us know he would not be there until Monday. Luckily we found a friend of a friend of a friend that has taken care of pools in his past and begged him to come to our house to look at our pool. When testing the pool water we found there was no chlorine in the pool. The pump was not working. Our Friend advised us to start with cleaning the filters in the pump to which we said we had just had Mike clean them a few weeks ago, which I have attached a picture of the mess he left all over the ground and fence. Once we took the filters out we were upset to see they were covered with green and had no D.E.( see attached picture). We were working with our friend until after 9PM Sunday to clean the filters, adding D.E. and to get the pump working. We text Mike and asked him to call before showing up on Monday. Today he text and asked if we had changed the gate code (which we did). We had asked him to call BEFORE coming and he clearly did not. He told us that when doing the service Monday he knew something was off but did "not think it would turn green that fast". Suffice it to say we are not happy with his communication, his commitment to keeping our pool healthy or his dishonest approach to using chemicals in our pool. In fact when he was told we were going to do a review on YELP he was far more concerned with the review and its contents than he was with our green unusable pool. Needless to say we will not be using Clovis Pool Care for any service ever again. read more

My four year older pool skimmer lost suction. I tried a few home remedies with no results. I contacted a pool server, as a recommendation from my pool builder, who came over to diagnose. He was at the house 20 minutes and tried a drain cleaning bladder. Didn't work and said I would have to rip up my pool to get what was in there out. I called an industrial plumber, thinking snakes and cameras to diagnose, and he stated he wouldn't be able to help, I will need to rip up my pool. I called Mike, he used a hydraulic drain flusher from multiple inlets, used the pool pump on high RPM to create suction. Problem solved in 5 minutes!! He had a few more tricks if that didn't work but it did. As the home owner, hearing Mike say "I don't care what's in there it's coming out" with no damage or thousands to rip up my pool was a big relief. I never post reviews but this man deserves your business. He didn't even want to charge me for it, but we made sure to pay him for his time. In the end it was a wiffle ball, go figure.
