We called Derrick (the owner) and he came right over and diagnosed the problem and solution. We had to drain our pool. Once we filled it back up we struggled with the chlorine not taking. We worked with david our service person. He was very helping taking care of our pool. He even came out several time a day to make sure everything was fine. We see the they are committed to keeping our pool clean. I like the fact that Derrick is a fresno guy. We have found a gem in Clarity pools

Fast forward to today, I reached out because some guy came to service our pool (only knew because I'm home with a sick kid). The owner called me and said we'd been receiving service the whole time (news to us) and he'd like to start over. Then he made it clear he only meets clients before 3 pm through the week, and that it seemed like this wouldn't work. With all of the issues created by lack of communication on the businesses part, all we wanted was to meet face to face for a few minutes to set things up right. At that point, it was clear he didn't want our business. I'm shocked by all of this because the company gets great reviews, but they definitely aren't hurting for clients and their customer service is lackluster at best. We felt like just a number on a page from day 1. Definitely don't recommend this company. It's expensive compared to others and not worth the money based on what we experienced. We ended up having to do all kinds of service and troubleshooting in our own because the tech wasn't doing their job apparently anyways.

Attached is a picture of how our pool looked BEFORE their service. Next follows AFTER we took on their service. You can clearly see they did not maintain our pool well and did not provide us with any communication whatsoever. On top of that, they still want to charge us FULL price for their service even though, clearly they did not fulfill their duties. Our pool is now green and developing black algae. We had to hire someone else for this diagnosis because we have 2 children under the age of 4 who cannot enjoy a swim during this heat we have been having in the Central Valley. Their pool technician goes out every week to service the pool, how can our pool be turning green and how can they fail to communicate with us about why this may be happening? There seems to be no form of customer value or satisfaction within their company. I wish we could resolve this issue, but they did not bother to ask us why we no longer wanted their services, they were quick to collect a payment from us, rather than showing us that they care about having us as their customers. Truly disappointing.

I do not live at the home where the pool is located so I depended on good communication. They fail in this area. How I found out they stopped caring for the pool is when I sent a text asking for my bill. I found out they had not been going to the house for a month. Not good. Not an ethical way to do business.

Let me start off by saying we have used Pristine Pool service and repair for about 5 years. The…read moreowner's son (Sorry forgot his name) was our first tech and he was great, took the time to even educate me/family about our pool and jacuzzi. We were very happy with our pool service and our technicians. Over the years we had a number of different techs come out and we had to notify them that we had Huskies and to please close our gate when they were finished, we never had any issues. Well this week we received notice that Pristine was no longer going to be cleaning our pool. No reason, just no longer cleaning our pool. We then called Pristine (Kristi) and asked why they were stopping our service. Kristi stated that the new tech's are tired of walking to the front door and asking us to unlock the side gate so they could service the pool. The new tech was also unhappy because the bag on our pool sweep had a hole in it and I fixed it with a metal clip. So Pristine chose to not service our pool any longer and dropped us. I really thought we had a good relationship with Joe and Kristi but I guess not. Apparently, we were low on their priority list and that's why they dropped us. Good luck with your business, but you won't be getting any more referrals from us.

Over the years, they've kept our pool clean, clear, and ready to enjoy through teenage parties, pets, grandchildren, and seemingly every bit of dust, wind, leaves, and debris the Central Valley can throw into our backyard. And it hasn't just been routine pool service. Whenever I've needed help with a pump, lighting, waterfalls, or some other pool-related mystery, Cox Pools has always been there with a solution that was quick, efficient, and reasonably priced. I've even tried to rope someone in to settling an argument with my wife over the choice of patio furniture. Clearly, I've pushed my needs outside the scope of pool service. What I'm getting at is, what really sets Cox Pool Service apart is the people. From the person who handles our weekly service, to the technicians, the office staff, and even management, we've always been treated more like neighbors and friends than customers. I'll be honest... I get flyers, business cards, and offers from other pool companies, left on my doorstep all the time. I don't even consider them. When you've had a company take care of you and your family this reliably, answer the phone when you need help, solve problems without trying to empty your wallet, and consistently treat you like they genuinely value your business, why would you go anywhere else? I recommend Cox Pool Service wholeheartedly and enthusiastically. They've earned our trust year after year, and that means a lot more to me than somebody showing up with a cheaper introductory offer. If you want a pool company that feels less like a vendor and more like a trusted friend who happens to be really good at taking care of your pool, this is the team you want. Just don't ask them to choose sides between you and your spouse! Five stars from our family!!!

Most recently I called for a repair because my control panel made a loud pop and smoke came out of it when we tried to turn on the water feature. He let me know it could be repaired the same day. I asked for the price and he got back to me within 5 minutes with a quote which I approved. In less than 30 minutes the melted switch was replaced. This was the second time Gio had come out to my house for a repair, the first time the issue was a tripped breaker which he took a video of to show me which switch to look for in the future. Very polite and nice guy. All of the people we've worked with at Cox have been great. I can't recommend them enough.
