BUT this rating is only for the first of three visits. The rating for the other visits would be 2-3 based on our expectations. We had our pool replastered and paid $650 to have three visits on three consecutive days for the purpose of making sure the water was balanced and all else was in order for what was essentially a new pool. We were told the pool would be balanced, brushed at each visit, equipment checked, and filter cleaned on the third visit. $650 seemed a bit high for three visits, but we wanted to start it all back up correctly. So, for the first visit, Damon came and he was great. He took his time, checked everything carefully, had the water optimally balanced, and explained the whats and whys, recommended a pool testing kit, etc. After this visit we felt that the $650 was well spent. If we ever need to use this pool service again, we would do so IF Damon was the guy coming out. The second visit - a different guy -apparently, was just to check if the water was still in balance. A very short visit - no brushing. We assumed that was all that was needed - and possibly it was. The third visit when we were told there would be a thorough brushing and the filters cleaned and our questions answered was very rushed - everything seemed hurried - unlike the first day - and we were told they were very busy that day. The filters were cleaned only after we insisted that a filter cleaning was promised to be done, and I said I would do it. For $650 we expected more - I was left disappointed. It may be that rushing is necessary if they are that busy, or maybe the pool plastering company needs to let this company know what is promised - or maybe the third visit just came on a very busy and overbooked day. read more

I been with this company almost 10 years , in last year I was having problem with poor services. My pool it was no clean with the correct químicos. My hot tub it was damage with all the wrong químicos. When I call and the to the wife she was very rude and defensive nothing professional. Very disappointed about this company they don't take responsibility. And they never fix the problem also they are changing employees very often with no training. It was still under warranty, but it took me weeks of texts, emails, and phone calls, before Pentair finally sent a local company out to look at the pump. Cody, from Pine Ridge Pool Care, Inc came out to look at it. He immediately noticed the issue. Pentair company had installed a refurbished unit that looked like it didn't go through inspection. I regret choosing them for my pool repairs. After getting a quote, it was clear they were charging way above normal rates for replacement parts. They wanted $650 for a Polaris PB4SQ booster pump motor I could easily buy elsewhere for $449.99. That's $200 more for the exact same part, and there was no reasonable explanation for it. Communication is a nightmare from start to finish. I asked about buying the parts myself and just having them do the labor. Instead of helping, they essentially shrugged off my questions, saying they "don't use the internet." That's a ridiculous excuse and made things unnecessarily complicated. What's worse is the lack of basic pool knowledge. When I needed help identifying another part that was leaking, I got vague, unhelpful answers. The responses didn't address my situation or help me move forward with the repairs. For a professional pool service, I expected clear, confident guidance. On top of all this, they made unprofessional comments about other companies rather than focusing on customer service or solutions. Bottom line: Pine Ridge Pool Care overcharges for parts, communicates poorly, and seems out of touch with basic pool repairs and customer needs. I honestly don't know what to make of this company. We've had them ever since Vineyard built our pool about four years ago and recommended them. (Vineyard is a great business, but they might want to reconsider this recommendation? A lot of the Vineyard customers seem to be the ones complaining about this place.) The bottom line is -- the pool "looks OK" -- the water is clear. And so they start with three stars for that. "OK." But. Lately, I agree with some of the other reviews that they skimp _very_ much on the time spent on your pool, but don't skimp on the fees. They lose a star for the mystery fees. They lose another star for skimping on the time spent on the service. The Fees: We're paying about $125, $130 a month for our very small pool, but it seems more months than not, there are extra charges on our credit card -- for what? It's never clear what the charges are for, they don't provide an itemized invoice, and they don't communicate verbally either. Extra charges just appear on our credit card, mysteriously. Also, our pool placement makes this a very easy pool for whoever comes to service it -- there are almost no leaves or other debris falling in, and we also have a solar skimmer that keeps the pool very clean. And the pool is about 4 years old with brand new, high-powered, high-quality equipment. This pool should be a piece of cake. So why all these charges? The Time Spent: There is an enormous amount of turnover among their workers -- we've had maybe 10 different people, maybe more, assigned to our pool in 4 years. Some actually did the work -- they were out there a good 10, 15 minutes, brushing the steps and sides, emptying stuff, checking the water, etc. But lately, this has not been the case, and so I see exactly what some of the other reviewers are complaining about. Two weeks ago, the guy who came to service the pool was gone in literally two minutes. I think he emptied the basket, added chlorine tabs and he was gone. Two minutes. I thought, "OK, maybe in the summer they do a spot check every other week, and then a full service every other week." I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt, right (??), even though that seemed odd, because the summer is when the pool is getting used, and it probably needs an actual service every week. Or you know, maybe the poor guy was sick that week. I'm not going to base a complaint on one instance. So I waited for this week to see if the guy would provide a full pool service. Same guy, same story. He arrived at 9:04 am and was walking away at 9:06 am. He emptied the basket. He added chlorine tablets. He didn't brush anything. He didn't test the water. He didn't look at the equipment or run the quick clean cycle. Then he sat in his truck for a couple minutes (maybe considering which extra fees to add to our bill -- haha, just kidding) and then left. It's kind of bizarre. If I'm paying for two minutes of work, I can empty the basket and pop in a chlorine tab myself. Not cool. If they want to send someone to service the pool, great. If they're just taking our money and sending a series of random people (who never seem to stay on the job more than 2 or 3 months) to walk in and walk out without doing the minimum, that's not so great. Expecting 10-15 minutes of a full pool service weekly in the summer is not asking for the moon and stars. They truly appear to be half-a**ing it and not accounting for the charges. Thus the one-star review. If they only charged us the monthly fee -- not the extra "mystery charges" almost every month when it looks to me very much like they are doing basically nothing -- I'd probably just pay the fee and not care too much. Life's too short, right? Maybe I pay attention to things more than the average person because I try to provide detailed and helpful Yelp reviews so other people can make informed choices and get the most for their money, but I'm not here on this earth to play gotcha with people or to complain if my pool looks basically OK. But it's those extra charges that push me over the top and have me asking "What is going on with this business?" I certainly can't recommend this business to others; in fact, I'd recommend you avoid them. These guys are great!! They came in and cleaned up a pool that had been cloudy for a year using another company. The pool was sparkling and that helped to sell the house. We were dumped by Vineyard Pools when they stopped their pool services. They contracted us out to this company per recommendation by them. For 2 years, we had no problems with our pool. It was updated regularly, they came out dependably. Nice and blue. Within 2 months of the new guy coming in, it was grimy green, they would skip out on days coming over (we would have to beg them.) Some weeks they would come, some weeks no. I'm certain they were skimping on the chemicals because I was forced to shock it myself. (they never skipped on their fees however.) over the past winter months, I've had to drain the pool myself multiple times and clean the filters despite paying these guys $120 bucks a month. Then this month they charged me an ADDITIONAL $50 SERVICE FEE for chemicals....that they've been failing to maintain the whole prior season! I almost forgot to mention, I had a nice scrubber and net that Vineyard supplied to us when we bought our pool that was STOLEN by one of their workers. now I have no scrubber, and a raggedy broken net they left in place of the brand new one they took from me. So not only did their service stink, but they also STOLE my equipment. In summary, if your looking to have a algee green pool, extra fees for service not done, work on your own pool while you pay some guy for their "service," and get your equipment STOLEN, then this is the place for you....and this is my FIRST AND ONLY YELP REVIEW. read more

I battled my pool for many years and went through several pool care companies. I have had Pine Ridge for the past 3 years and the pool had never looked better. The employees are courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I called in an equipment concern today at 10:21 and a service rep was here by 11:30.
