Ive had this service for about a year and in the beginning they did a really nice job but these past few months have been frustrating and you only get to deal with the wife. Anyways, this is the reason for the review... The past few months my pool had been building up yellow Alge AGAIN, this was an issue that I had with them in beginning that I had spoke to the wife about it. (Note: I did not have this issue with the previous pool guys) They had got in under control with chemicals and setting the pump on a different schedule. As the weeks go by I've been noticing that the pool isn't being scrubbed, algae is back, the baskets aren't getting cleaned and chlorine tablets aren't being put in. My husband does his rounds once a week on the pool himself so he was noticing things. Mostly making sure the machinery is working properly, checking the basket and what not. So finally after a few weeks of this, the guy replaces our floater for a new one and adds chlorine tabs but he threw the old one behind the pump and said we didn't have one. Idk what that was all about. Though It was a little beat up so it needed to be replaced. I was charged 10$ for that but not a big deal. Anyways, They charged me $125 for cleaning when it was just a rinsing of the filters with my water hose, which I don't care about him using my hose, I thought maybe he was going to pressure wash them with soap or something since the word "cleaning" is what she used when she texted me. We saw on the camera that he had rinsed them on my red concrete which left residue all over the place. I paid the bill and moved on. The last straw... The pool is still looking a little rough with him coming once a week and with my husband doing his little bit on the pool. I tried not to be that weirdo that's watches the camera systems but I started checking them and noticed that he will be back there for about 4-5 minutes tops. So I took pictures of it on Monday since my service day is on Tuesday hoping he'd clean it and he did not.... I really liked this company in the beginning. Since hiring this company (Valley Pool Service) in January 2026 to perform my weekly pool service and maintain my pool, I've made three legitimate compliments. First compliment: The very first time the technician came out in January to perform my weekly pool service, he failed to complete all the services that were in my contract. So, when I was aware of this, I notified the company (owner's wife) and their technician contacted and instructed to come back. He did return and performed the services he failed to do the first time. Second complaint: Was last week (May 26th) when I noticed a heavy build up of sticky blue/black residue on the wheels/tires of my pool sweeper. So, I called the company and was advised to send a video of the wheels/tires, which I did. Plus I sent in a few still photos too. I had cleaned most of the heavy residue prior to calling the company and instructed to send a video to her. However, from the video and photos attached you can still see the sticky residue in between the grooves on the wheels/tires. In addition, I Googled what causes sticky residue on a pool sweeper to see learn what the cause could be. The results I found are shown in the photos provided. I took a sample of my pool water to a reputable pool supply store and had them run a test on the sample of water provided. They were surprised to learn the water wasn't properly balanced; the pool water was either too high (Acid -140) or on the low side (Alkalinity - 57 and so were a few other readings) see photo of test results provided. Two different companies advised me to my pool/spa drained, refilled with fresh water, and then have the correct amount of chemicals put in order to reestablish the correct balance/level of chemicals. Also stared, "If left as is without doing anything would allow the wheels/tires to further deteriorate and cause damage to the surface walls/floor of the entire pool/spa. Again, I was informed by the owner's wife on May 28th that the test results performed by their technician on May 27th is that pH reading of 7.5 was spot on. That is when Muriatic would be used -- to adjust it. I have that the last time we used Muriatic acid was in February. Once pH is set correctly, it basically stays consistent. I had him send me verification of his test yesterday and it was at 7.5 which is what it is supposed to be at. For Pool tires, they are just like car tires and get wear and tear. If you google how often vacuum pool tires need to be replaced, it will say every 1-3 years. If you would like us to replace them, we can. they cost $15/each. However, I don't think they need to be replaced at this point. That is what the company's wife/owner wrote as an explanation. She didn't address any other of the chemical readings that were off. This made me question what was the technician testing and checking during his weekly service. As the problem that I currently have should have been identified much earlier before becoming a huge problem. Third complaint: Was on May 28th, when the technician came out on May 27th, he left my gate open with the lock unlatched. This was the 2nd in less than 5 weeks my gate was left open. I travel a lot and may not be home to ensure my gate is closed correctly, locked, and secured every week. As the homeowner if someone enters my backyard and an accident occurs, I'd be the one liable for it. This was my main concern so I addressed it to the owner's wife as well. Consequently, this is the response I received back from the owner's wife... Apologize for the locked gate. I'll make sure to talk the Phoenix. You seem very unhappy with our pool service. Please find another pool company to service your pool moving forward. Unfortunately, this isn't working out. My response back to her was... No problem in finding another pool company to service my pool. I appreciate you for letting me know addressing my pool service problem(s) on three different occasions was an issue. Per your request, as of today (May 28, 2026) and moving forward your company providing my pool service is no longer required. Respectfully, My Name Note: The gate was left unlocked but she apologized for a locked gate... Smh! As a business owner and on a professional level the company, if they value their clients should be willing to address their concerns and/or complaints without terminating them. Makes one think do they value their companies reputation. I would not recommend this company to any one looking for a company to service their pool. Bottomline is pay attention to your pool. If you find a problem address your concerns. My pool will be drained, refilled, and chemicals replaced . And, my grandchildren will be able to enjoy swimming and playing in it throughout the Summer. read more

This is an update for Valley Pool under new ownership. I have been with Valley Pool at least 18yrs now and even though Keith will be missed I am happy with the new owners. I needed to have my whole filter cartridge replaced and am very happy with the work Steven did. I have a problem pool, it's very old and fiberglass and I know it's way overdue for resurfacing which causes the fiberglass to clog the filters. Steven changed my filters to DE filters which this pool needs and what a different it has made. My pool is now sparkling clean with the best water flow I've even seen it have, not bad for an old pool! I am still very happy with Valley Pools and I have complete trust in them that they will still give the best service that I always had with Valley Pool. I only recommend what I think is really good and I recommend Valley Pool if anyone is looking for a good pool service, I don't think you will be disappointed. I would not stay with someone this long if I was not happy with them, the owners are nice and are quick to respond. If Valley Pool can keep my old pool looking good they can handle anything! read more

Pool has been in a bad condition for 3 months, with black mold and green algae they have been paid to clean filters and to clean get rid of black mold, and they only come and check ph and adds tablets and bleach. Horrible! I highly recommend you do not use their service unless your willing to deal with the owner, Keith, whom won't text back when there's a problem and lies. This man is incredibly unprofessional; he has talked poorly about both the man my mother is renting from to her and then about my mother to the same "old man" he slandered to her previously-- and our relationship is STRICTLY BUSINESS, he does not know me nor my family any further than the 3 texts he's received from my mother all of which were regarding a) the pool not working properly and b) not coming to her home without telling her before hand. He also blatantly lied and said my dogs attacked his worked when I was actually there and alerted by my dogs barking while we were outside, thus walked over to the side of the house where the locked gate is located and heard this man say "oh there's dogs"-- NEVER opened the gate-- walked to front door to ring the doorbell and then leave. For one thing, this man showed up unannounced on a day other than our scheduled day for pool cleaning and this was AFTER Keith had already beenasked to let us know before hand if they plan to come on a day other than the one scheduled. Also, I WAS THERE- THE MAN DIDNT EVEN OPEN THE GATE due to the fact that he heard the dogs barking (because we were outside since he didn't have permission to come into our backyard that day and weren't expecting him). I hired Valley Pool Service to manage my pool at a house I was renting out. Upon moving back in, I was shocked to see my pool in the condition it was. For weekly service, it was filthy, full of sediment at the bottom, debris floating and on the bottom, not all the steps and sides had been brushed, the pool sweep was not working (had many cracks in it allowing air to escape thwarting the suction), and the main huge filter was dirty and completely clogged. We have been back in the house for almost 4 weeks now, and my husband is finally starting to regain control of the pool after hours of daily work and cleaning. Needless to say, I fired the company. I am just stating the facts. It upsets me that companies take advantage of you knowing you are not living in the house. Keith called and left a message mumbling something about a week off because there were 5 weeks in the month. The condition of the pool was not from one week, it was from MONTHS of neglect. read more
