I spoke with the young lady tending bar who informed me the bar was family owned for over fifty years and has over come tragedy when it burned to the ground a number of years ago.. she told me the family was determined to rebuild anyways I ordered a fish and a side of fries for a lunch and not only was the food a good sized portion but tasted fantastic and there was something about the fries that were amazing.. I sat there talking with the smaller crowed of what seemed to be locals who informed me the every item on the menu is good.. there seemed to be a since of pride in the neighborhood (mostly guys) who were in there at the time that this was where they wanted to be because of the family values of a small business having lasted so long and it made me wonder if they were there because they new what an amazing impact they were probably having helping to support a quiet neighborhood bar as this.. since attending a number of weeks ago I have raved about the place and told many family and friends who too my surprise knew where it was and spoke of the rowdy rooters apparently a north hills football fan club that can be seen frequenting the tavern during indian football games.. I have recommended this place to my family and friends and encourage everyone to stop by and try it out

They were watching Jaws together and making a few comments. It has a real community feel, and everyone is facing the bar and joining in the conversation. People seemed to be drinking mostly beer. I didn't fit in at all, but maybe if I gave it some time. There are several skill games off to the side. I'm sure people watch the sports together. It's a small, traditional dive bar with good food, and locals come here to make conversation and see their friends.

The owners are friendly and see to it that everyone is enjoying themselves and relaxing. They care about the community and often have fund raisers to help various causes. The popcorn machine is one of my favorite features and puts out a great FREE snack to go with your beer. And the beer is ALWAYS COLD which I love any day of the year !! They have an area with pool tables televisions and seating so you can watch your friends play. I would give them a "10" if they had a full working kitchen ! But they do put out various sandwiches, fries, fresh deli subs...that everyone seems to enjoy. The place is huge with plenty of room at the bar so you don't have to worry about not having a seat. They have a party like atmosphere for sports games to watch on 1 of the MANY t.v.s and even puts out a free buffet for when teams reach playoffs ! And they have a Jolly Roger flag that they raise with the help of patrons to pose with when our Pirates win ! There is always 1 or more of the 3 owners there mingling with the patrons and seeing to everyone's comfort!

Very large area for seating as well as darts and other games to play. I chose to order the Buffalo chicken wrap and fries. Really good fries and ranch! The buffalo chicken wrap was also really good. One of our guests ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich. This was amazing as we all had a bite. I want to return to have a full one to myself. We had nachos for an appetizer and were underwhelmed. The chips were soft and didn't hold any toppings. The toppings were also kind of lack luster in my opinion. I wouldn't order them again. The wings were perfect and the hot garlic parm was really good. We also had seltzers and mixed drinks. Overall great place to have a quick bite and drinks.

The interior is painted black and has many sports stations and Keno games tuned in on the multitude of tv's. There are high top tables, a huge bar and a section of low top tables. A lot of families were gathered to eat and drink which was nice to see. Our waiter was really terrific! He was very patient, attentive and answered our questions about the large menu. We tried some wings (lemon pepper that were ridiculously coated with salt and nearly inedible and the Carolina Gold that were good) and the onion rings that were really good with big slices of onion in crispy batter. The California wrap was tasty but didn't really match what was described on the menu. It was filled with a 1/2 pound of turkey and bacon (who doesn't like bacon, right?) and a disappointing teeny tiny bit of lettuce tomato and avacado. The balance of meat to veggies was a little off. They have a great selection of beer and liquors but no wines listed that we could see. Overall, Shenanigans is a fun place for bar food and sports viewing.

It took them over a year to renovate it and they still aren't done in the back and the parking lot is a little rutted but the inside is very nicely done. There is a huge bar and some high and low tables scattered throughout. The clientele is mostly locals and lot of laborers grabbing a drink and a bite to eat after working hard all day which was great to see. It's super casual and very open inside. We had a few beers and the bartender was good. She was attentive and was waiting on 20 folks at the bar as well as table drinks. The manager was able to help serve some food to help her out but never once asked us how everything was. That was a little bit of a missed opportunity in my opinion for a new business. We ordered a breakfast burger that came with some hashbrowns on the side. I assumed, which is my fault totally, that the burger would come with lettuce, tomato, etc. but it truly was JUST a burger, egg, and cheese and absolutely no other toppings. That was disappointing and I really wish the bartender would have asked if I wanted anything on it. I ended up using ketchup for moisture since she was so busy and I was hungry. :) The hashbrowns were frozen and fried so they were nothing special. I think this place has tremendous potential. We'll be back to try something else. It seems busy so that's a good sign.

Great sports watching venue, with wall to wall TV screens all over. Clean, shiny, and with some fun sports games too (i. e. golf video, darts, etc). The menu offers lots of ol local favorites and some with a nice twist (i. e. pulled pork sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, salads, Chipped ham Sammy, etc). Had the Isleys chipped ham sandwich which they serve warm with melted cheddar, grilled onions on a bun. However, they were gracious enough to make it for me cold, with Mayonnaise and a slice of cheese. This is unlike another place down the road (RI) from them that wouldn't adjust items on a sandwich for me last week. The waiter/bartender was super chill too, easy to talk to and basically good at his job. Our refills came quickly and without asking. He followed up to see what we wanted a couple times and the food arrived in a reasonable time (not much waiting at all). This was so very different from that same day where at our usually spot (another old bar/restaurant further down the road, "SJ") we had to walk out just after ordering lunch due to getting attitude from a mouthy waitress. Glad we decided to try this new spot! Great job! I think we found our new local "go to" bar/restaurant. Looking forward to it and to soon trying breakfast there on weekends too. A must try f you haven't been there yet.

Yes, it's a strip mall, but don't let that fool you. Allusion is a beer oasis tucked between life's greatest challenges: renewing your license and resisting discount snacks. Inside, it's clean, cozy, and no frills, which is exactly what you want when the beer is doing all the talking. And let me tell you, the beer has a lot to say. We tried the 1810 Oktoberfest and As You Wish (which made me feel like I was being serenaded by Wesley from The Princess Bride), and both were excellent. We also grabbed a Buffalo Chicken Wrap and a Reuben, each paired with a cup of clam chowder that was creamy, comforting, and possibly made with magic (or butter, which is basically the same thing). The proprietor was friendly, knowledgeable, and doing everything short of brewing the beer mid-conversation. Honestly, if he'd started juggling pint glasses, I wouldn't have been surprised. Long story short: the beers are top-notch, the food hits the spot, and the vibe is low-key awesome. Allusion has earned a spot on our regular rotation, and possibly a spot in our hearts.
