Another great local spot. Happed to be down in South Baltimore and have been meaning to check out Wico Street Beer for a while and finally had to chance. It's a very unique place located on the bottom level of a parking garage. When you come come in you see that they do have food. It's a pop up pizza place. All they have is pizza and french fries though. It's enough to give your stomach something to soak up the beer. The pizza place only accepts electronic payment. Most of their selections are brewed in house. Reasonable prices. They accept cash or card at the bar. Lots of pinball machines inside if it's your kind of thing. A lot of the patrons seem to enjoy them. There is a friendly dog by the name of Jamison that freely roams through the brewery. If you have food, he probably will stop by. It's a great place with great character.

There is a lot going on here. Atmosphere is vibrant. There are lots of arcade games. And I got hipster as a first impression, from the music to the general vibe. Service on my visit was awesome. Didn't love the music, but liked the beer. The BEER: Yeah Dude kinda hazy IPA 6% ABV... dry smooth, fruity finish, a tad boozy at the end Orange you glad hefeweizen 5.7% ABV... like a blue moon, but better. Banana, clove and a sprits of orange peel Per my last email hazy pale ale 5.5% ABV... slightly dank, easy drinking hazy Living easy hazy IPA 7% ABV... this is actually quite good, well balanced with a citrus nose. I know, sounds like the lyrics to a country trap song. Shirt brothers hazy DIPA 8.5%... of all the beers I tasted, thus was quite hoppy and higher in IBUs. It has orange throughout In a word, hipster, is my experience at Wico Street Beer Co.

We came in on a bad crawl and the bar tender was slammed- but she got to everyone so quickly and was super nice! We didn't get any food but the beers were amazing. The ambiance was so cool- chill vibes for sure- we will be back.

My wife and I stopped by Wico on our way to meet friends at nearby picket brewery. We loved that they are dog friendly, and the interior is very colorful and fun. Service is also great. We asked about the beers and based on their recommendations, we got "speaking cursive". It was tasty, tart, a little sweat, a little sour. Definitely eager to try more of their brews. The only drawback for me was price. Their half pours are similarly priced but much smaller than the ones at picket.. that said, I know sours can be pricy to brew, so I suppose it is reasonable. I will definitely be back, but if they have some sort of happy hour or special it will get me back faster :)

I've been waiting for this venue to open for a looong time. I live nearby and drive and walk past regularly. I was super excited when I found out they'd officially opened at 3pm yesterday. I'd not planned on going out yesterday evening, but I made it here by 6pm! The space is quite nice, open with a nice sized bar and a bunch of caskets turned tables w/bar stools and benches for seating. There's unique art on some walls, and a section off to the side where the brewing happens. I REALLY LOVED the Speaking Cursive beer. All time favorite from the 6 I tried during my visit. I like they have 5oz pours. No food but there was a food truck outside. Since I live close I'll likely just eat before I go. Drawbacks: no bathroom inside this place. They're out in the greater Wicomico building. I went to use one and had to abandon the idea because it was a cold night and it was too cold to wait out there for a bathroom. Also, they're pet friendly (dogs I guess but I'd bring my cat up in there in a stroller), but should maybe amend the rule to "well-behaved" pets. One of the few dogs there let out loud echoing barks that startled me just about every time. If it was annoying to me, I bet it was annoying to others. Just sayin. Anyway, guaranteed to return! Super excited this place finally opened!

Wico Street Beer Co opened last November and I have been twice since. They specialize in fruited sours and sour IPAs. They could use a menu with some more detailed tasting notes to clear up the differences between all of their beers of the same style. The beer is good, and the atmosphere is fun. They have $3 pours of 2 of their beers, a lager and a Mexican lager, whenever the Orioles playing. Unfortunately, their "Pinball Happy Hour" was a complete bust, as we could not get the QR code or app to work and the staff were rude about it. I would come for the beer, but lower my expectations about playing games.

I stopped in this new Pigtown brewery. This place a has a cool retro gaming aesthetic. I tried some of their beers from the wine shop and really enjoyed them so I was excited to see they opened a tap room. This place is dog friendly and saw 3-4 people with their dogs hanging out I had a strawberry sour ale. It was delicious and I like how their sours are not overly sweet with tons of adjuncts. They dry hop their sours and use some fruits but not the triple blackberry bacon marshmallow Frahm cracker bubble gum sours like some places are making. They also brew ipa's, stout, and lagers. I'm looking forward to trying more of their brews. The bartenders were friendly and rang me up for my draft and to go beers I bought to try at home. $25 for 4 large craft beers is very reasonable I think. I will be back with my buddies to party before or after an O's game!

Pros: Great variety of beers on tap hefty pours on the tasting package Regulars come here to hang Plenty of seating Extremely chill...we brought a game and were able to play while we enjoyed our drinks Cons: If you have dietary restrictions you will starve; I have a gluten allergy and could only order the wings as the menu is limited to one brisket sandwich, wings, or pizza. They also did not have gluten free or cauliflower crust Many of there beers on tap are not updated on the menu so unless you inquire with the staff you will not know as I ordered a mead that was not included on the menu This is a self serve place, you go up to order and they bring it out to you I will not go out of my way to visit again as we left hungry and then had to make another stop; however if in the area would return again. if ocmpared to Jailbreak Brewery I would choose jailbreak everytime.

When we arrived, we were seated right away, but it seemed like there were very few staff working--possibly only one waiter. It took about 10 minutes before we finally had to flag him down just to place our order. The food then took around 25-30 minutes to come out, which felt very long since we were on a tight schedule for our flight. When the food finally arrived, I ordered the macaroni and cheese, and unfortunately it was the worst mac and cheese I've ever had. I don't want to be mean, but it was very bland and really needed salt. My sister surprisingly liked it, but it just wasn't for me at all. The rest of my family did enjoy their meals, and I thought the fries were decent, just lightly seasoned. My mom especially liked the grilled cheese. The waiter himself was nice and kept our drinks refilled, so I don't think the long wait was entirely his fault. The restaurant is very cute inside with cozy, old-style vibes and festive Christmas decorations, which I really liked. However, between the long wait times, the limited menu, and my disappointing mac and cheese, I wouldn't recommend that dish. Overall, it's a charming place, but the service was too slow for us--especially when trying to catch a flight.

What a fun brewery!…read more My brother had a birthday gathering here this year - we were able to comfortably seat a group of 15-20 people in the outdoor picnic section area. Highly recommend this spot for groups looking for a place to gather and socialize. The space is deceivingly large; there are multiple indoor spaces all within a quick stride from a long bar with dozens of beer taps. The outdoor space is even larger than what's available indoors; their vast street level patio/deck space is full of picnic tables and benches that are perfect for larger groups when the weather is nice. And yes, their outdoor patio is pet friendly. While the brewery itself doesn't serve food, there was a food truck (that looked to be there quite often) set up in the outdoor area that had several good options. I had their burger and fries which was exactly what I needed after an afternoon of brews. The beer itself was tasty; I had several of their hazy IPA's which I've grown to enjoy. They also offer a very solid selection of N/A beer options; some of the folks in our group enjoyed them and gave them great reviews. I didn't get a chance to check out the arcade portion of the brewery, but yes, this is a barcade as well. If you're looking for an inclusive, energetic brewery to check out, definitely keep Peabody on your list.

It's a great venue with a wide open area, and when they're hosting special events, I definitely recommend going. Overall, it's a great spot. Customer service was great and again if you are a fan, there's always someone in there that could talk sports or video games with you.

This particular day, it was quite busy and unfortunately, there were more children here than there were adults. I get it, there's not much to do out in these parts and for the parents, I'm sure the prospect of setting up a picnic and letting their kids run around the lawn is a big pro. However, it becomes a BIG con for me as a childless person just trying to enjoy myself when there's a cacophony of children screaming, babies being changed on the table in front of me, kids running around unattended, and just general chaos. I don't know how it became so normalized for breweries, where there's alcohol being consumed, to become playgrounds for small children but here we are. My recommendation would be to provide a "child-free" section. The place is absolutely enormous so it wouldn't be hard. Perhaps the "stable bar" area and the lawn in front of it could serve as this child free area. Or maybe there's specific days of the week or certain times of day children aren't allowed? Beyond this complaint, I was pleased to see the food truck menu way more expanded than the last time I was here. They even offer gluten free pizza now! It was pretty good too. I enjoyed the grapefruit seltzer which came canned and loved the mango seltzer slushie. My boyfriend liked his pilsner and hefeweizen, too. Service from one of the bartenders was curt and standoffish - she seemed extremely stressed to be pouring beer and rolled her eyes or scoffed at any request for a sample. Other bartenders were holding it down and keeping their cool though -- she could learn a thing or two from her coworkers.

We tried their brisket dog which was delicious with a nice, slight kick of spice. The fries were nice and crisp, but could have used more seasoning in my opinion. There was a lot of outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. It was a bit warm for my preference, but they had a large fan that I found a seat near, so that helped. There was live music which is always great. Not my preferred genre, but still nice for the overall ambience. Overall, I loved the vibe of this spot and I can't wait to go back in the fall when temperatures are cooler!
