    Wine cellar downstairs
    Jessica T.

It's a little bit pricier than the place I normally go to - about 1-2 dollars more expensive - but still very clean and a large selection. When I first walked in I was looking all over the store for the wine section and didn't see anything except for a small display in the front with a few bottles. When I mentioned to the cashier that there was hardly any wine he told me that the display at the front was just the wines on sale and that they have a wine cellar downstairs. The stairs were tucked away in the back of the store so it was kind of hard to see. When we went downstairs it was like heaven (in my head there are harps playing and angels singing LOL). There were tons of bottles to choose from! The bottles on the walls were even organized by which country they were from - France, Greece, Spain, etc. If I am ever looking for a specific bottle I'll definitely head here again!

They have a large selection of beer and wine upstairs, and I think there's a wine cellar downstairs.

They also offer a good selection of spirits, aperitif's, and other mixers. They are located upstairs in a slightly hidden but cozy and intimate space. Today (6/4/2025), they are celebrating their birthday with a champagne tasting open to all customers. The tasting consisted of different sparkling variations from different parts of the world. All were excellent choices. In celebration they are also offering a curated "Better Than Cake" birthday box of 6 wines. You can also get a "Rosé Bouquet" box right now featuring 6 bottles of rosé. Or just stop in, especially if you are shopping in Whole Foods, to pick up a bottle or 2. You can easily find something to pair with your meal. Prices are actual reasonably priced and they are well stocked.

The convenience is unbeatable and until recently their selection was pretty conventional. I went to my first winetasting because I bought a box of their curated wine over the summer and got two free tickets. I think it's really odd that they charge $10 for the wine tastings when everyone else does it for free. The stuff there is really really lovely and Mary. The manager is really kind. But I'm so confused why anyone would pay $10 for a ticket. I will note they offer a five dollar discount for same-day purchases of the tasting. I was also not very impressed with the wine selection. I liked probably 50%. They chose really conventional wines all priced around $17-33. For tastings I expect a higher range wine and more interesting wines. But the staff again was so friendly and fun. Overall, it's a great place to buy wine and now they carry a lot more natural and local distributors, which made me really excited. Because they are operated by a big restaurant group. Their rewards program is decent and offers discounts to their partner restaurants like Charleston and petite Louis.

This was right across the street from the hotel we were going to for the event. We had some time to kill and why not pass that time at a liquor store. This place is basically no frills, but I wouldn't expect it to be. It's a place to stop in and grab a quick bottle and be on your way. I found it a bit cramped. But given what is for purchase in here it doesn't have to be fancy. I will say that the employee in here was very knowledgeable about his stock. My friends had questions and he had all the answers. Knew exactly what he had and every single quantity of said stock. Great for a quick stop and obviously not a place to frequent constantly.

They have a good selection of beers, ciders, and wines. I'm better with wines so I know they have anywhere from Cabernet's, to Chianti's, and even Carménère's. Obviously they have liquor as well , but a select few bottles, that's located behind the counter. You'll definitely find what you are looking for here.

They also have an option to build your own 6-pack of beers, allowing you to try different beers. I have noticed that the prices have increased recently since coming here. I used to get a bottle of Ménage a Trois Prosecco for $10 last year and now it's almost $16. The Cellars is right next to the Harris Teeter so it's very convenient to get your groceries and then purchase a bottle of wine or pack of beer. And if I'm not mistaken, they have the same or similar hours as Harris Teeter, so they're open super early. I've found some fairly decent wine there as well as beer, which means I usually take a spin through there even if I'm not in the mood for a drink. That said, this place is seriously overpriced! It's like you pay for the convenience of it being attached to the grocery store. Also, they only offer beer and wine, so if one needs hard liquor, they can't get it there. So it's not a one stop shop.
