This is the liquor store that's most convenient for me. I've been coming here for about 2 years when I moved to Baltimore. They generally have what I'm looking for, but some things I can only get at that other liquor store. They do carry a lot of local beers from breweries like Peabody, Monument, Dewey, and many others. I really this liquor store because of the selection and location, but the customer service is terrible. The cashiers act like their doing you a favor when you check out. No one greets you and if they are busy doing delivery orders, good luck getting help. Even the manager acts like she's too busy to help. 6:49pm on 8/1 my husband and I visited this establishment for the first time. The venue was clean but when we walked to the "Tasting Section" in the back, the worker refused to acknowledge or serve us as can probably be proven by cameras they may have. Convenience that can't be beat. We love stopping into Canton Crossing for all of our adult beverage needs. Their selection is excellent, they always have what we need. The staff is always helpful in locating what we can't find on our own or even making suggestions. They even have a rewards program! I forget how much you have to spend but you'll ultimately qualify for a coupon/discount off your purchase. They have parking and their prices are fair. Once I called in trying to locate something special for my husband for his birthday, they didn't carry that particular whiskey but they offered to order it for me. Very accommodating! read more

I finally shopped here and I thought wow, this place is pretty cool. A sign said "buy 6 bottles of any wine get 10% off". I got 6 new wines I've never tried before that were on sale. So when I checked out, checked receipt, I didn't receive the 10% discount. I asked about it and they said it's right there where it said "discount" which he underlined. I said yes, that's from the original price to sale price. And they said oh yea, well we don't give you additional discount for wines that are on sale since it's already discounted. I said but sign said "any wine". I added that it's false advertising, it should say excluding sale wines. They're like "yea, yea well you still got the sale price". VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Haha I'm thinking that's the reason I got 6 bottles, to get 10% off. Smh ‍ never going back there again. Like I said, there was nothing written on the sign that said "excluding sales". Stopped in Canton Crossing for the first time on Thanksgiving of all days to pick up a few bottles of wine for friends/family. Was shocked by just how much variety and how spacious the location is! I spend a lot of time in that shopping center so now I'm kicking myself thinking I could have been going here the whole time. Either way I was very impressed and also thankful to the staff for helping me pick out some amazing options for Pinot Noir (my favorite wine) without trying to upsell on the crazy expensive stuff. I could tell that the staff enjoyed being there and helping out so you felt satisfied when you made your purchase. Since I live in FL, I've used CC before to deliver wine (and cheese - but it seems they don't have this option any more) to my local friend in Canton. In the past they have taken the order over the phone and it was a seamless experience. Now delivery is all online. I get it with COVID and Christmas orders - they are busy. That said, I had a problem attaching a gift card to my order (actually I did enter it but it wasn't in the right place to print the card, I think!) The man who called me was brief and condescending. The system is working, they don't have the card info and it can be delivered without the card ... Yes or No .... PERIOD. No offer of help or suggestion as to what I might have done wrong - nothing. I admit I'm not the most literate with setting up online accounts and don't really like to use them. But the attitude I can live without and will be looking for other places for my gifts in the future. read more

The employees are not friendly. I asked for Hennessy and the cashier guy said to give him a minute after ringing the customers up he will go and look for it. I waiting for 5 mins and he still continue to ring people up and another employee a girl with red hair approached me and said we don't have time to go through the box's to look for that right now as we just moved to a new location. I understand that they moved and they were rearranging supplies but the way they handled the situation was very rude and not friendly. I also was talking to some customers that was there when this happen and they also said the way the girl said it was very rude. Will not be going there again nor will I tell people to shop there. I've been here several times, in both their former and current location. The selection is quite extensive for all types of alcohol. Additionally, if they don't have any something you specifically want, they may be able to specially order it; the guy there was able to order a particular product for me that I needed for a gift! It's clean, safe, and well-organized, which is more than you can say about plenty of stores around the area. I see some reviews complaining about "the atmosphere" and I have to ask...why? It's a liquor store. The idea to get in, get your drinks, and get out. The staff is helpful without being overbearing and checkout times are not too long. Finally. A decent beer store in the city and just like the other said, they serve growlers at a very reasonable price. They have 32 and 64 oz growlers AAAAAND while you are shopping around you can purchase a pint if you like. Nothing like having a cold brew while perusing the liquor store. They have a pretty good wine selection and even a wall that is labeled $10-$15 bottles. Nice price range there. They have a decent selection of 6 packs and a pretty small selection of beers in bottles. They need to improve the selection there in my opinion, however they were selling DGH 120 Minute IPA so get them while you can. The store also contained a good selection of hard alcohol. Basically this store has everything you need if you are throwing together a good time. I would also recommend that if you have Facebook, you follow them so you can monitor what beers they have on tap. When I was there I snagged two growlers, one from the Lips of Faith series and the other was the Oaked Espresso Yeti brew. Both were delicious. I will definitely be returning here. I went to run into Canton Crossing wine to pick up a bottle of wine. As I walk into the store a employee starts running over to us flapping his hands frantically saying we have to many people in the store you need to wait outside. I understand the importance of safety measure due to Covid however the way this employee handled the situation it made US feel like we did something wrong when the store Was at fault for not having someone at the door monitoring the amount of people inside. It was a Saturday night I'm sure a busy time for them. It's weird right now maneuvering thru all the new guidelines but this store definitely did not nail it . This isn't just any ol' wine and beer store, boys and girls. Let me share my secret with you -- Canton Crossing Wine and Spirits is in a totally different league! When you enter the store, at first you'll notice how beautiful it is. You'll see the large hardwood wine racks and the natural lighting penetrating through the glass windows, casting each bottle of wine in a radiant warm glow. You might choose to peruse the extensive selection of wine, or you might choose to venture to the back wall that is essentially one large refrigerated showcase of craft beer. Want something local from Flying Dog, Duclaw, or Union? Want to try a double IPA from a little known brewery in Maine? Or would you like to try some Belgian beer like Leffe or Delirium? As you mill around in your agonizing state of indecision induced by so many fantastic options, a worker might then approach you. "Would you like to try some of our double IPA on tap?" he might inquire. What?! A liquor store with a rotating selection of wine and beer on tap, along with a TASTING BAR? You betcha. Such is the tale of my evening a few days ago. I snagged a bottle of honey wine flavored with mango and peppercorn because honey wine is all too rare to find in liquor stores these days. Additionally, at the checkout counter, a worker suggested for me to sample one of the double IPAs on tap. The only way my evening could have improved is if I had actually purchased one of their growlers and filled it up, but alas, I had some more productive things to do later that night. Perhaps next time... I am so happy that a store with so many interesting and unique varieties of wine and spirits has opened. Consider it similar to the Wine Source in Hampden or the Perfect Pour in Columbia, with slightly less beer and wine selection, but with the nicest workers and a greater sense of community. read more

This is my new go-to liquor store in the Canton area! So, I appreciate wine and liquor as much as anyone else, but I'm primarily a beer drinker. Canton Crossing Wine and Spirits has an excellent selection of beers on tap and in store (including local brews) so I was totally sold! Despite its popularity, they even had Red Sky at Night at the end of the summer, which was a pleasant surprise. The ambience is very modern and open, which I really like. I find the store very easy to navigate and I can find what I want easily (almost too easily). I also get the newsletter via email and appreciate knowing what beers are on tap and what special events, like margarita making classes (!), are happening. Seriously love this place! read more

Had to stop in on opening night (4/8/14) to see what this place was all about, especially once I heard they are selling GROWLERS! Yes indeed, they have a small, walk up bar in the front window that has about 9 beers on tap. You can try as many samples as you want and then you can choose if you want a pint, 32oz or 64oz... I know for a fact the two larger sizes you must pay for the growler separate and then you can get them filed and refiled (I failed to notice or ask about the pint size option, it didn't seem like a place to stand around and drink a beer, but it also seems quite a small portion to take home, but hey, you never know). I asked if you can bring in your own growler, they said that since the sale of beer in growlers are new to the state of Maryland (only since July 2013) they are not legally allowed to fill up any growlers that are not their own... bummer. The beer guy also told me that he will be changing the beers on tap monthly (or I guess once they run out) and will never have the same beer on tap twice. I took home a 32oz growler of the Terrapin Mosiac Red Rye IPA... however the Breckenridge Vanilla Porter was calling my name, but my boyfriend hates Porters (good thing beer preference isn't a deal breaker in our relationship, because we are not compatible in this category). The Terrapin was delicious though and we drank it all up that night! They said 24hrs is the best timeframe to drink a growler, but can go up to three days, FYI. Enough about the growlers... on to the wine.... I really like how they have one wall that is under $15 (my spot)... and the opposite wall is under $25. It looked like they had empty shelving in the center area to add more stock in coming weeks, after all, they literally just opened. But they do have liquor and more wines! And a back wall of coolers for beer! The owner also said they will be hosting wine tastings and such in the future, can't wait to come back! read more

A few years ago my SO and I put two $25.00 deposits on two growlers. We just tried to return them to get our deposits back as we're moving out of state and no longer will be able to use them or patronize this store, where we have been regular, and till now, satisfied, customers. However, we were prevented from getting our money back because the manager on duty believes "deposit" to be--and I quote--a "figure of speech." She actually just said that. Unfortunately, Merriam Webster, and the rest of the literate world, would disagree. A deposit is a retainer, madam. In sum, fellow beer drinkers, be aware that if you're interested in getting growlers from Canton, you're purchasing the jugs outright. And to the manager's boss(es): the male store employee who tendered our transaction at the time indicated we were putting down deposits. So either you're ripping people off willfully or you need to buy all of your employees dictionaries. read more

I really, really wanted to like this store. They have a great selection of whiskeys and spirits and some nice wines. However, found their wine selection hard to navigate; not sure how it is arranged but it is not intuitive or user friendly. Also, service was terrible. I have been in 3 times and each time not one employee has greeted me or asked if I needed help. The last time I was there I was standing at the tasting counter, looking at the selections, while an employee behind the counter looked out the window, moved some bottles around, looked out the window again, talked to the guy at the cash register (over my head), all the while not asking if he could help or if I had any questions. Small but great wine/spirit/beer shop in the heart of Canton Crossing. The employees are extremely helpful. They do have a "points club" where you sign up for free and your purchases add up to points to be used for discounts on future purchases. Unfortunately, it's a really poor system and they don't educate you at all on what the points value up to or what you can earn from earning them. They need to focus on this a lot more. It often seems quite pointless, but why not sign up? It's free. They don't have a HUGE selection of beers, but they definitely have the necessary cheap domestic beers, a couple dozen specialty beers from around the USA and the world, and of course some hard ciders and shandies. They have a much better wine selection. But the shop is very small. It's really lovely, and definitely not a "discount liquor store" you see all over Baltimore. The prices a bit higher, but it's nice. I appreciate the care they put into their wine selections. They also have all of the necessary liquors you need.
