The pepperoni rolls were awesome! And that's the ONLY reason I didn't give it a negative review. But when you are going out to eat the thing that counts the most is the food. It wasn't to busy & food didn't take to long to get to our table. Order an appetizer & the steak. It was terrible and to be honest, tasted like they cooked up OLD nasty steak they were trying to get rid of & pass off to unfamiliar faces. They are only opened Thursday- Sunday. We went on a Thursday . Would not go back.! Still have that yuck taste in my mouth & all three A-1 sauce in the world will not drown it out. read more

I'm giving this a (1) star because of the terrible food, but also because they add (steal) a service fee on the check and the service wasn't good. First off, the chicken pot pie has Sysco corp. chicken out of a can as the main ingredient (not real chicken), the meal was cold and think this was because not enough servers and the service fee rubbed me the wrong way as it's on the bottom of the check and I'm sure a money maker for them. I really felt like the food was gross or TERRIBLE food, didn't like the service fee and the service was bad. So MANY other good places to go to in Davis and Thomas and a wasted dinner for us. read more

Came in for drinks and appetizers. Ordered wings, rueben egg roll, and trout dip. All were great! Donna the bartend was very welcoming and a great server! read more

I would love to say we had a good experience here, but we had zero experience. Called on a Friday night for takeout and they "weren't offering it" because some staff had called out sick. No takeout, no business. read more

We stopped here on our way back from Blackwater Falls. The town in general was packed with tourists, and we chose to eat here because it was one of the few places with dine-in options, if not the only place. It wasn't as busy as I expected it to be, but service was still a little slow. Our waitress was decent, though, even if she could've come through a bit more often. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, and it was good if a little bland, and my husband got a burger. We both LOVED the fries. I would probably come back again, hopefully when the full menu is back. read more

Showed up one evening with our dogs and the staff was fantastic. They treated us and our dogs like family, even brought them water while we ate. To top it all off the food was very good. I had the chicken pot pie, my girlfriend had the spaghetti. The brownie and the cheesecake was also very good. Definitely check this place out, they make you feel at home. read more

Make sure to stop here during your stay in or near Davis, WV. They have a great selection of beers on tap that include a local brewery. We had the Fish and Chips and the Supreme Pizza and enjoyed both meals very much. It did seem a lot of people we ordering the pepperoni rolls, which looked amazing, so add that to your list as well! read more

The food was amazing. I got the vegan chili and it was sooo good, then for dessert I got the ice cream Sunday and it was amazing. read more

I've been coming to this area for a long time. I'm happy to have found a really good restaurant. The food was very good. The service was awesome I look forward to eating there! read more

It was my favorite bar I've ever been to. The owners are so nice, helpful, and happy. I can't wait to go back! It will be my first stop in Davis. read more

While the customer service was good and friendly, the food my wife and I received was sub-par. My chicken alfredo was dry... Not even alfredo sauce which is simple to make from scratch and the chicken was overcooked leaving it dry and tough. My wife's pot pie wasn't heated enough leaving the potatoes cold on the inside. Overall the food was bland as well. I will not be returning as this was probably the worst dining experience I have had in many years. read more

Had a micro brew from the local brewery and the fish & chips. Excellent. I brought others with me. jbreunig@cox.netSide salads were liked by all of us and judging by the reactions of others I'd say the chicken pot pie was workmanlike. One in our party was in a wheelchair. I suspect that Wicked Wilderness is likely the only restaurant in Davis/Thomas that is truly wheelchair accessible. Service was great, interior was fresh and professionally finished, and we were happy enough to come back the next day. read more

If you are a tourist in the town of Davis, WV and looking for an establishment to have a few drinks this may be your place. My family and friends visited this restaurant tonight with the expectation of a good meal and a wonderful new experience. I am sorry to say that we left without looking back. Our waitress was kind but not eager. She did and would not ask anyone in our group if they needed anything else nor sis she refill empty glasses of soda. When we finally asked for a refill of Coke, we received yet another flat drink and wait for it...........WITHOUT ICE. Next, our party of 8 was split into two parties of 4, or two families. When we ordered our food it was communicated clearly to this woman that we were on 2 separate checks. After eating our less than average portions of food that was not even warm, she brought one check to our table. When asked why, she responded that the establishment allows only one check per table. This is absolutely ridiculous. Even though this staple is listed on the restaurant's menu, when we communicated our order to her initially, she had every opportunity to tell our party or explain to us that this was their policy. I would highly recommend employee training and morale in services at your establishment. This waitress, who did not even tell us her name should not be delegated to work as a service provider without further action. It was apparent that she either did not like her job or did not have the desire to be doing what she was hired to do. I understand that this is a tourist area; however, the heart of every business is the patronage of each and every customer. It is disappointing to have experienced disrespect on a weekend that was to be filled with good times for future memories. As a management employee at this restaurant it would behoove you to educate each current and new employee of the value of customer service. read more

We are visiting the area for the first time, and happened to stop by here. I'm soooo glad we did! The service was friendly and prompt. The food was prepared well and tasted delicious. The menu was a little sparse, but everyone in my party found something, and we were pleased. The craft beers on tap were really good too. Basically this place was great! You should eat here! read more

Very cool spot. Was happy they had salad options. Would love to see more gf vegan options. Didn't get to see the music but looked like it would have been fun! read more

Stopped in on our way to Blackwater Falls. Great food. Try the homemade pepperoni rolls. Great service, and a great craft beer selection.

Our family of 7 were vacationing in Canaan Valley. We got on Yelp to find a spot to eat. We have some dietary needs like Gluten and Dairy Free so we like to find variety. We landed with this place. It took a little while for someone to seat us and she would only sit us at a large table even though the place was quite empty. We wanted near the fireplace. The waitress was great and attentive to our requests. We loved the food. Everything was very good and we were able to have the pork and chicken sandwiches without the rolls. The lasagna looked amazing. The homemade chips and salsa were a hit. The kids loved the pretzel appetizer (we had two). The atmosphere was cozy. We would recommend and come here again. read more

Horrible service and food terrible. Hour and 45 minute wait for a kids pizza, salmon cakes, and chicken pot pie. No refill on drinks after a couple asks. Salmon cakes were 95% filling 5% salmon. Smoke from the kitchen filled the entire restaurant due to poor hood function. The local bar customers come in, get recognized by name and get service immediately. I would avoid at all costs. read more

We were just passing through but had to stop by and grab something to eat. Good service, good music and wow, wow, wow; the meatballs are amazing! read more

Went to this gem on a Saturday night in February and it was pretty crowded..... make a reservation! Ordered the pretzel and beer cheese dip and it was delicious followed by the fish and chips. It was fried cod and delicious and crisp. The owner Donna was so friendly and working hard right along the servers. Definitely a place where I will revisit! read more

Found this place last summer, and came back while skiing. What a great place. Atmosphere was nice, large size so I didn't feel cramped like other places in town, and the music was great. We got the reuben rolls to start and they were unique but delicious. My wife got the shrimp scampi and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. I got the Chicken pot pie and while the presentation is definitely different, you could tell it was home cooked and awesome. We finished off the meal with a funnel cake because, why not? Who has funnel cakes in restaurants these days? The bar was crowded and people seemed to be having a good time. Given the limited options in Davis, I will absolutely return to this place the next time I am in town. read more

We have been coming to Davis for years and like trying new local spots. After a long day of cross country skiing, we decided to grab some lunch and beers at Wicked Wilderness. We came in with a group of 15 around 4pm and took up most of the bar area. They were so accommodating and didn't mind that we were all over the place! The food was really good as well. The nachos and pork wings were delicious! Bottom line: great atmosphere, super friendly staff, delicious food, and great beer. read more

We were looking for comfort food and happened into the WW Pub--what a great find! Husband had a delicious burger and I fell in love with my chicken pot pie--adorable and delectable! I will dream about this meal and absolutely return next time we're in Davis. read more

Friendly staff, cute Covid precautions. Pepperoni roll was good, not super duper. We also had the homemade trout dip which was interesting but not something I would eat again. read more

We wandered in here because there was parking available. We were skeptical because it's a "pub and parlor," but we don't drink. Man, were we glad we stopped. Everything here is homemade and delicious! I had the chicken pot pie. It comes in a squat mason jar with a biscuit sitting on top. The biscuit alone was worth the price, but the chicken and veggies were phenomenal. Dessert was a real-deal funnel cake with strawberries and whipped cream on top. My only regret is that we're leaving Davis tomorrow and I can't go back and try anything else. read more

First time coming to Wicked Wilderness. We were a group of 8. They were busy and said they couldn't move tables around to accommodate our group. But suggested we squeeze in to a table if we wanted to sit together. So we sat together and squeezed in. The service from our waitress was great her name is Chelsey. We ordered burgers, the black bean chili (which wasn't what I was expecting as a chili) the clam chowder soup, and the Alfredo pasta. The burgers were SPECTACULAR! I would return. read more

We waited forever for our food. We left our house at five so we would have plenty of time to make it to sledding at seven. We have been here since 5:30 and our food still isn't here (6:26). We just talked to our waiter and he said around forty more minutes. Definitely will not be coming back. -Julie read more

Local quaint pub restaurant. The food was delicious, the chicken pot pie was amazing! Will definitely return when visiting the area.

My wife and I arrived at the restaurant at 8 pm on Friday 10/9/2020. We stood at the 'Please wait to be seated' sign for 10 minutes and watched three staff members do everything, except acknowledge us, including one staff member who was busily chatting with customers at a table right next to where we were standing. We'll never know how the food or service was because we left with a bad taste in our mouths from our disappointing visit. A simple 'Hello - we'll be right with you' could have changed our whole visit. read more

Please keep driving! Very cute ambiance and friendly staff but beyond that, not worth it. We waited over an hour for our food and when we finally did get it, it wasn't worth waiting for. Loaded nachos were loaded with bad salsa and sour cream with a few random sprinkles of beans and a very very tiny string of cheese on 2 chips! Seriously! How do you screw up nachos? My husband got the jambalaya and it was awful as well. It's ok to stop in for a beer because it is cute in there. But go eat somewhere else. So we will continue to search for that place. read more

Stopped here for dinner after a day of hiking. You have to try their pepperoni rolls. Best I have ever eaten and I have eaten them from many places. My friends and I recently visited Wicked Wilderness Pub in Davis and it was fabulous! From the appetizers and drinks to the meals and desserts we enjoyed everything we tasted. We each ordered something different from the menu and all meals were delicious. The food was cooked perfectly and portion sizes were great. The winter decor was beautiful throughout the restaraunt. Our waitress was fun and attentive. There was a great band playing with such talented musicians. It was lively and fun but not too loud so we could still talk with each other. The proprietors were friendly and gracious, checking on patrons, chatting with locals and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Wicked Wilderness is a definite "must do" destination. I will be back with my husband. Well worth the trip ! read more

Do not eat here. If desperate go to the Shop n' Save and buy cheese and crackers and eat it in your car. I guarantee that would be a better meal and experience. Here's a few guidelines for the staff: Get people seated at tables that suit the size of their party. Stop dragging chairs around creating a racket. Tune the music down- people like to talk in restaurants. Make sure you don't start out by saying which items you do not have- instead get this items and keep them in stock. Give out menus for both drinks and food at the same time. Make sure sodas are carbonated. Make sure chicken sandwiches are not dry like sawdust. Put the condiments on the sandwiches as requested. Do not serve wilted lettuce. Don't serve the stem area of the tomato. In short- go next door or across the street to eat. You are so near actual good food- go there! read more
