Recently had the opportunity to check out Wick N Twisted. I really love the setup they have. Candle classes in one room and a fun hangout spot in the adjoining room with SELF-POUR BEERS!! They have a great selection of beers and even wines on tap. You pay by the ounce and there is a counter that flips like a taxi meter while you pour so you know how much it is going to be. There is a good selection of vessels for the candles and the class is more immersive than others I've taken. It was fun and informative, and you get to create your own scent based on what you like. Great concept!

We came here for a bachelorette party and had such a fun time! Making the candles was easy and fun to choose the scents. I thought my candle scent was missing something and Kara helped figure out how to make it perfect! Once we made our candles we waited in the gaming lounge until they were ready. All and all a great experience!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with a girlfriend and had a great time making candles and car diffusers! The owners were very patient and explained the process while letting us take our time to browse and create our perfect scent. They also have another room with games, popcorn, and wine/beer that you can pour yourself as well. It was nice to have in-house entertainment while our candles solidified rather than having to go find something else to do. Excited to go back with a larger group or for an event! I'd highly recommend checking this place out

This was one of the dopest experiences I've ever had. Wick N' Twisted is one of those simple places with the volume turned all the way up. I love the space they created. Can't wait to come back and beat the Pac-Man score

My group and I had a fun time here! We all made candles and they were so helpful with ensuring we made something we loved!! We also hung out in the lounge area, played games, and had drinks. This was such a fun girls night, I'd definitely recommend!!

When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and shown the scent wall, the vessels, etc. You choose 2-3 scents to mix and then you make your candle under the guidance of staff. While your candle molds, which takes about an hour and half, you can wait in their game room which consists of arcade games, board games, a beer wall, and snacks. Also feel free to leave and get food and bring it back because outside food is allowed. There are also multiple TVs to watch.

Went here on a date and the lady that helped us was so sweet and full of energy! I wish I could remember her name. We made our candles and waited in their super awesome speakeasy type room. Great experience. A little steep in the price but well worth it.

We had such an amazing time at Wick N' Twisted! We did the custom candle class and absolutely enjoyed it. We got a step by step walk through of picking the scents and putting everything together. We loved the lounge area with games, snacks and the pour station! This really leveled up the experienced because we could hang out there while our candles were cooling. This is great for dates and group outings! Definitely making another visit!

We visited 2x during our Florida visit. One night, we simply went to drink, play games, and hang out. 2nd time - candles and drinks. This is a cool niche activity to take a break from the beach. Block 2-3 hours to fully appreciate the full circle experience. Start by sniffing candle scents on the wall, pick 2-3 scents and create your own candle. While you wait for candle to set, cross over to the other side to self-serve alcohol by the oz. Makes it easy to sample and pour your own volume. Complimentary popcorn, corn hole, Jenga, several TVs, classic games: Ms Pac-Man, The Simpsons - there's something for everyone to play while you drink.

Looking for a Day Date, Group outing, or Family QT. My partner and I visited Jacksonville for the weekend. I found this place on Yelp and after reading the reviews, I knew it was a must try. The owners are a married couple and they are very much involved and they're such good people with good energy. The class itself doesn't take long & I sat at the bar and was able to watch the football game, have a couple of drinks while making my candle. I chose 3 scents for my candle and was able to name it. 1 hour of wait time which we sat in the back and played games until it was ready to take home. This is an amazing place I promise you! And wonderful people.

So cool. I love a good activity and drinks! Gotta love the freedom to do tastes of alcohol while making a candle or scent diffuser, car freshener or more! Lots of games and snacks available as well.

While I wouldn't call this a go-to "work from a coffee shop all day" sort of spot. After asking around I found out this place has two floors the top floor has a space for daily office rentals. I am here on a Saturday and had no problem finding a place to work from on the first floor.  I asked Katie who was walking by and was super helpful about why it is called Ink Factory Brewing. This place used to be where Void Magazine was written and published hence "Ink Factory".  I was pleasantly surprised. The space is large enough that I found a quiet corner and even managed to snag a power outlet. The staff didn't seem bothered at all by me settling in with my laptop. That said, Ink Factory feels more like a place to hang out try the coffee, grab some food, maybe have a beer rather than a dedicated work spot. The space immediately gives off a relaxed beach vibe white walls, local artwork, surfboards, and beach apparel everywhere. It feels equal parts coffee shop, hangout spot, and beach town brewery. My coffee was spot on. Emily was awesome and helped me build a custom drink: an iced coffee with a shot of espresso, mocha syrup, topped with cold foam. Not only did it taste great, but she made it look so good that people sitting at the bar asked what I ordered. This kind of care and presentation really stood out.  If they're really busy, finding an outlet could be tough. Parking is also a bit limited for such a large space, but that's pretty typical for the beach area. Not the place I'd camp out every weekday, but definitely somewhere I'd come back to.

Last week of April 2026, my wife Judy and I were in Jacksonville/Atlantic Beach for a conference. While I was in session, she returned to our rental condo and got locked out due to a malfunctioning electronic door lock. She couldn't reach me (ringer off), so she walked down the street to Breezy. Owner Nancy Breezy immediately welcomed her with open arms. She lent Judy her personal phone so she could contact the condo owners to get the door fixed. Once that was handled, Nancy introduced Judy to the regulars, making her feel completely at home. Judy ordered a delicious latte and some gluten-free baked goods -- both were outstanding. On a deeper note, Judy has been through an incredibly tough couple of years with painful losses that had shaken her faith in human kindness. Nancy single-handedly restored that faith. Breezy feels like a quaint, neighborly oasis of love, fueled by Nancy's genuine goodness. Everything served here seems infused with what we now call "Vitamin L" -- pure love and warmth. I used to absolutely love this place. It was our go-to for seafood, celebrations, family dinners,…read moreand special occasions for years. We recommended it constantly and genuinely enjoyed supporting them. Unfortunately, after our last few experiences, that loyalty is completely gone. The problems really started during a dinner visit with my spouse. We had a reservation for two and specifically requested a booth because my spouse has herniated discs and booths are much easier on her back. The hostess with glasses told us there were "no booths available for parties of two," so we were seated at a tiny two-top directly in front of an empty booth. Minutes later, another couple - who apparently didn't even have the correct downstairs reservation because Wheel House was closed for a private event - was seated in that exact booth instead. When I politely questioned it, I was told they were "accommodating them." Interesting, because apparently accommodating a medical issue for customers with a reservation didn't matter. Still, we decided to give the restaurant another chance for Mother's Day. To their credit, we were seated at a booth this time after I both noted it in the reservation and called ahead to confirm it. Our waiter was someone we immediately recognized from a previous visit, and my parents mentioned he had waited on us before at that same table. Somehow, from that comment alone, he became convinced we were related to Chef Tim Tillus. From there, things got bizarre. He kept talking about "Timmy," mentioning reunions and saying he used to live with him. The restaurant was extremely loud, and my father had forgotten his hearing aids that day, so honestly we could barely understand what he was talking about. We just smiled politely and focused on asking about the menu because we truly had no clue where the conversation was going. Eventually, he came back and realized we were NOT Chef Tim Tillus' family. He then explained that the kitchen staff had apparently been laughing because the chef saw us and said, "That's not my family." So somehow this became a whole ordeal in the kitchen over a completely innocent misunderstanding. We laughed awkwardly because what else do you do at that point? But honestly, the whole interaction felt strange and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food was even worse than the awkward service. My spouse ordered the all-day seafood soup, and somehow there was basically ZERO seafood in it. That alone was shocking because their soups used to be incredible. My father ordered the broiled platter, and the portion size was honestly embarrassing for a $29 dish. His parsley potatoes consisted of literally five tiny cubes - my mother counted them because we were in disbelief. We have eaten here for years and NEVER saw portions this small. I ordered the fish special, and it was nothing like described. It was supposed to have pecans and blackening seasoning. There were no pecans, no blackening seasoning, and the fish itself was dry, bland, overcooked, and flavorless. For $32, I was served what looked like a tiny sad pile of fish in the middle of a giant empty plate. The pork chop looked beautiful but tasted absolutely awful. At this point I honestly don't know if the kitchen quality has completely collapsed or if nobody is checking food before it leaves the line anymore. Either way, it was terrible. My mother ordered scallops on the half shell as her meal - something she has enjoyed there many times before. This time, the scallops were tiny and somehow greasy. It was shocking these dishes were even leaving the kitchen. What makes this so disappointing is that we truly loved this restaurant. We weren't casual customers. We supported this place for years because we believed the food and experience were worth it. This wasn't just a mediocre meal or an "off night." This was a genuinely terrible dining experience from start to finish, made worse by the fact that it happened on Mother's Day. The service felt awkward and disorganized, the portions were insulting, the food quality was awful, and there seemed to be zero quality control happening anywhere. At this point, our money will be supporting other establishments instead. It's honestly sad because this place USED to be special. I sincerely hope management fixes the kitchen, consistency, and overall professionalism before even more longtime customers walk away.

Step 1 - Choose your scent. We picked oils from a choice of over 90+ varieties. For my candle, I picked Black Sea, Deep Sea, and Exotic Oud. For the reed diffuser, I picked White Tea and Yuzu. Mah Wife chose Cypress, Hotel Lux, and Sea Breeze. For her essential oils dropper, she went with Verbena and White Tea. Step 2 - Choose your vessel. As mentioned we both chose a candle, a reed diffuser, and oil dropper. We combined our chosen scents into 1 oz or 2 oz portions and poured them into their appropriate vessels. Step 3 - Wait. The candles take a couple of hours to harden and set, so we did some shopping and came back to pick them up. The oil dropper and diffuser you can take immediately. Step 4 - Enjoy!
