We have used Why Not Granite on three different occasions. In 2018 we had the countertop replaced on the island in our kitchen along with a new sink. In 2022 we had the countertop and sink replaced in one of our bathrooms after it was remodeled and recently, they replaced the countertop and sink in our second bathroom remodel. They've always been easy to deal with, have great prices and the nicest installers. In 2022 because of Covid I wanted to do everything over the phone, including picking out the product as Albert showed us choices over the phone and guided my husband as he measured where the countertop would be installed. I don't think handling things in this manner would have ended up in a successful install the first time, but it did because we worked with Albert at Why Not Granite. Why not Granite was responsive to my concerns (caulk would never set), though seemed out of the know that water based caulk would not be the best choice for a kitchen install. After having 6 visits to fix incorrectly cut granite, and caulk that wasn't curing, we thought we were good. Almost 2 years later, we are discovering that the quartz countertop we had installed has MULTIPLE chips and imperfections on the edge, not due to our use. There are over 20 imperfections for a 400 sq. ft. kitchen. Unacceptable. This would be a one-star review if the company were less concerned with the problem when calling. Buyer beware. read more

Highly recommend. My husband and I are real estate investors, and I am a real estate broker and property manager. I deal with a lot of contractors. After getting zero communication from our preferred countertop contractor, we decided to look elsewhere to replace yucky old laminate counters in a duplex of ours. We worked with Albert, who understood what we need and found us a remnant slab to work with. He also helped us figure out how many areas we could cover (we had 6 bathrooms and 2 kitchens we were considering) to maximize our dollar and the slab itself. We ended up doing the 2 kitchens and the backsplash, which we did not think was going to be possible initially. The installers came on time, and were considerate of our tenants and did a great job installing and cleaning up afterwards. We ran into an issue with the backsplash, and they communicated with Albert who proposed two solutions to us. Very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. The counters look great, tenants are happy, and the updates have helped us maximize our ROI. We will definitely call WNG next time we need counters! read more

I had new granite countertops installed by "Why Not Granite" in my newly remodeled kitchen yesterday. The granite looks great! Alvarro and his installation crew showed up when they were supposed to and worked hard till the job was done. They were courteous and did an outstanding job! Based on this experience, I highly recommend them and will most certainly use them again for my upcoming projects. I will say that the initial consultation and communication was excellent. They even went as far as to match a competing bid, which was great for me since I preferred the overall experience with Why Not Granite. The issue that I had came post-installation. The install team was courteous and worked efficiently. As a matter of fact, they finished the job much sooner than I had expected. They cleaned everything up and hauled away all of the old materials. Prior to them leaving, I did a cursory inspection of the work and found several areas of damage to the cabinets. There were several areas where they smeared excess adhesive on the cabinets as well as a part of the top rail of the cabinet being split from the force of removing the old counter top. One of the spots of excess adhesive was obviously attempted to be cleaned by scraping with a razor blade or something and damaged the finish further. They were apologetic but there wasn't much they could do. The damage was done. They did glue and clamp the area where the wood split to attempt to fix that area. I was a little annoyed but since I had just refnished these cabinets myself, I still had the stain to fix these spots so it was just an inconvenience for me to re-sand and fix the problems they caused. On the other hand, if I had new cabinets or custom cabinets that could not be easily fixed, I would have been pi$$3d. The kicker came after I was inspecting the work in more detail after I had paid the balance and the installers were long gone. I had discovered that they had left a razor blade embedded in between the counter top and the cabinet....with the edge facing outward!!! If I had not discovered this someone could have sliced a finger while cleaning. At this point, the adhesive was completely set so I couldn't get the blade out but I did manage to at least break off the edge so only the the spine of the razor is stuck and visible. After this, I emailed the owner about these issues and even provided him with photos of the damage and the embedded razor blade. After all the positive communication prior to the job, I was a little surprised that I didn't even get a response to my concerns. Not even a simple sorry. I wasn't expecting or demanding anything in return but I would have certainly expected a simple apology or acknowledgment of these issues but I got nothing. Very disappointing. Aside from these issues, the counter tops look great but I wish they would have been more careful during the install and the owner to show some accountability after expressing my concerns post sale. read more

This is the second time I used Why Not Granite for a kitchen remodel, after using a different place the first time that did not make me happy...Why Not Granite had pricing similar to other places but the customer service and installation were far superior. First kitchen was granite and they did a really cool corner in one piece when I was expecting a seam. It was beautiful. This time I went with quartz and just love the finished product. So happy with my choice, the purchase process, the installation, everything about it was fantastic. Highly recommend them and would not think of using anybody else! We recently remodeled our 1957 split level in Bellevue Washington, and as part of the process had granite installed throughout the house (a huge new kitchen that in and of itself involved at least two hundred square feet of granite, as well as two separate bathrooms) along with granite outside (the circular top of a fire pit and a buffet). This involved a considerable amount of very intricate custom cutting and crafting, as well as transportation and installation of some very large and unwieldy pieces. Finally, one of the materials (fossil black) is notoriously fragile. "Why Not Granite" was recommended to us by our design and contracting company for fabrication and installation of all our counters. As expected based on their recommendation, everything was done as close to perfection as one could ask for. We were given as much time and assistance in the shop to decide exactly where each piece should be cut as we needed. Installation was performed carefully and to exacting specifications. When one piece in a bathroom did not yield a perfect counter, it was redone from scratch without question and redelivered. After the outside pieces were installed, time was taken to treat the granite and then educate us on how to maintain it. After all that, we had additional table-tops cut and delivered that have greatly enhanced the overall look of the house. Finally, communication throughout the entire process, both with the owner and with the staff in the shop, was easy and clear from day 1. It is a little hard to reconcile our outstanding experience with the prior review from Leanna A.; whatever issues she may have had '2 years ago' seem to have been fully reconciled. I was referred to Why Not Granite by a Cabinet company that uses them for countertops. I called them for a bid to repair a seam in an existing countertop that had been poorly installed. One side of the seam was an 1/8th of an inch higher than the other side. I spoke with the owner and explained my issue. He had me send him pics and had one of his lead men look at them to see if he thought it could be repaired. They decided they could repair the countertop and we scheduled for the following week. The granite worker showed up on time, was very neat and courteous and did an excellent job. While he was there I also had him drill holes in the countertops for soap dispensers in the kitchen and bathroom. He repaired a big chip along the sink without being asked and filled in another seam that had lost its fill. The workmanship was exceptional, he did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend this company to any of my family or friends in need of countertops. read more

We, too, had excellent initial communication and got a premium product for a good price. However after that the customer service faltered and the installation was less than satisfactory. The company was moving to a new location so that could have impacted the poor service during the time we were waiting. There was no flexibility in the installation date as we attempted to move up the date as our contractor was far ahead of schedule. We had to chase them down for communication and could not change the date so that was Ok. The installation was not good. They measured incorrectly so it was too tight and tore up the walls on both ends of the counter. The top does not fil snugly against the wall so the contractor is also taking care of that. There was no "sorry" just a messy installation and they were gone. The positive is the product is beautiful and it will be great once all the "fixes" are done. read more
