Is there really any negative things one can say when it comes to slow cooked smoked meats? If you're looking for a good BBQ Whole Hog Cafe has a few locations to satisfy Cherry Hill and Medford. The staff behind the counter are always welcoming and ready to get your order in to the kitchen. Plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor to relax and enjoy the juicy flavorful bbq they create. The loaded fries are a meal in themselves. From the variety of sauces to the many sides to accompany your BBQ Whole Hog is at the top of our BBQ list.

I just love this place. Multiple sauces to choose from. Delicious brisket. Great, large chicken wings. Fast Service. Can't ask for more

You are really relying on sauce when your eating the food, which unfortunately means it's a tad bland. Bunch of kind young ladies working around the shop. Decor looks very millennial inspired. Got the platter of 3 ribs, brisket, and jalapeño cheddar sausage. For $23 it filled up but left a lot to be desired. By the time I finished eating the Mac and cheese and potato salad the brisket was cold and rubbery. Corn bread was dry. Have had better experiences in the past so will try them again in the future.

Quality has gone way down hill while prices keep on rising. Much better options on Main Street and will not be back.

Upon walking in the smell was phenomenal and I was excited ... but that excitement quickly faded as I saw pretty empty refrigerated cases and struggled to find a menu. Even after finding the menu it was absolutely underwhelming . My bf made up a sandwich he wanted to have them make and I decided to go with the roast beef sharp provolone and horseradish wrap but with an Italian roll instead of a wrap. The roll was about 6 hours away from being stale and I had to add my own balsamic glaze and roasted red peppers at home to give the sandwich some life. My bf enjoyed his sandwich way more than I did but did say it wasn't anywhere near as good as the market sandwiches were used to up north. Oh and the customer service was mid at best. There's no organization as it pertains to a line or ticket system so it's a little confusing too.

One thing you have to do is ask about the homemade soups. They rotate through around 200 different recipes throughout the year, and every one I've tried has been outstanding. If the tortellini soup is available, don't even think twice--order it. It's that good. This visit I went with the three burger sliders and fries for $11, and it was another winner. The sliders were juicy, cooked perfectly, and the fries reminded me of crispy boardwalk fries. Simple, but done right. They also have an incredible selection of sandwiches, so there's something for just about everyone. During COVID, Rustic Grille was one of the places our family relied on for great takeout meals, and they've been consistently excellent ever since. The staff and waitresses are always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. If you're looking for a local spot with great food, huge portions of variety, and some of the best homemade soups around, Rustic Grille deserves a visit.

Third experience w/ this location, and it's the one that finally convinced me this is a MUST AVOID. I ordered last Friday at 1:30 for 2 PM pickup. I had a short window for lunch and had to get back to the computer by 2:30. So, strapped for time. When I got there to pick up, there were 4 patrons in line. I walked alongside them to let the cashier know I was just picking up. In exactly the same way countless DoorDash and UberEats people in every food service environment do, all the time. The cashier, that first point of contact for the public, stuck his hand out in the international "talk to the hand" shush gesture. Nice! So I waited outside. After cashier took care of the first two, I lifted up both arms to say "what's up here?" Then I heard him say to the two customers in front of him that "That guy is acting crazy." At that point I told him to enjoy my sandwich -- and the tip I'd left on the PREPAID ORDER -- because I would not be waiting longer. Or coming back. Let's count all the ways this is a bad look: A business can't have employees talking about a customer to other customers -- PERIOD. It can't have people who use the order-ahead system waiting at the back of a line they expected to avoid entirely. It can't be rude to people who are arriving at the site and may not know the particular "rules" for online pickup. In my case, the ridiculous and needless wait allowed time for reflection on previous less-than-stellar attempts at Online Ordering at Gouldsburgers: the time when my burger was essentially cold when I got it home, a three-block walk. The time, just after the location opened, when I waited a long time after the pickup time only to discover that the order was comically wrong. (That one I attributed to newness and returned a few weeks later and had a good experience....). To his credit, the cashier did reach out later -- to ask if I wanted the order remade. He says the card has been credited but, because I'm not crazy, when I told him to enjoy the sandwich I really didn't expect a refund. Still don't! What I would expect is what I asked him when I returned the call: To speak with an admin/GM/MOD person about this. I have zero faith in this happening. But here's why it should: Because this location, which is indeed small, needs to address Online Pickup in a way that doesn't add 10-15 minutes to any poor unsuspecting soul's experience. This is FIXABLE! And also this business needs to rethink how it addresses people with at least a modicum of respect. That may not be fixable....

The first time we walked in, it definitely caught us a little off guard (you'll understand once you see it), but it didn't take long for this place to completely win us over. Pro tip for first-timers: the front door has a mind of its own. It sticks pretty hard--probably some weird pressure thing--so you've got to pull hard to get in and push hard to get out. Like... commit to it. Once you're inside, though, it's all worth it. The food is consistently delicious, generously portioned, and very reasonably priced. Truly zero complaints--we've never had a bad meal here. And on top of that, they offer free local delivery, which is always a huge bonus. As you'd expect from a proper deli, the menu is massive--easily dozens and dozens of sandwich options--yet somehow the service is always fast, efficient, and friendly. Even on busy days, they keep things moving without making you feel rushed. And yes, even when I only stop in a handful of times a year just to play the lotto, they're still welcoming and upbeat. Overall, this place does an excellent job of giving you real value for your money. It's one of those no-frills, neighborhood spots that just gets it right--good food, fair prices, and reliable service. We're glad to have it nearby and will definitely keep coming back.

My dad didn't feel like Mexican so when we got home, I mentioned it to my husband and he wanted to try it out. When we got there, there were a couple of tables taken, and they were all speaking Spanish. Good sign #1. The place was clean, bright, and cheerful. Good sign #2. The server (? He seemed to be doing every job there) greeted us and told us to sit wherever we wanted and then asked us what we wanted to drink. I got water and my husband ordered horchata. It was really good and not too sweet like it can be. I ordered a huarache with carnitas and my husband ordered chilaquiles with red and green sauce. The chilaquiles were so good he had them gone in a couple of minutes. I didn't have a high expectation of my lunch because it was not on a masa base, it was a tortilla. I still ordered it because I figured the tortilla would be a lighter meal for lunch and I wouldn't feel as drained as if it was masa. My huarache had a base of some of the best refried beans I've had in a long time and let me tell you about the carnitas! In the area we used to live in, carnitas was generally served as shredded pork. Here, it was chunks of meat and I was a little anxious that they would be tough. But oh, the meat was so tender! I barely touched it with my fork and it fell apart! I barely had to chew it. I was really only chewing the tortilla. It was flavorful without being too spicy, so the taste of the carnitas could shine through. Honestly, this place is a little unassuming hole in the wall type of place in a weird strip mall that also has a surgery center and a gym in it. But you know, that's the kind of place that outshines any big places.
