We waited 50 minutes for our order. When it came out it was not warm. They were not busy. Chicken wings were not great. We paid when we ordered. My wife said she was sorry she tipped them when we ordered. I never tip at the counter. If they want to make tips they should try waiting on tables. read more

Wow. I can't believe I waited so long to give this place a shot. I had been going to another spot in town (Lockhart) that ho early has really crappy service, so wanted to try something new. And boy am I happy we decided to go grab dinner here. The choices were unique and standard, definitely something for everyone. I have to say the taco pizza was probably my favorite tho. This joint has, in my humble and always right opinion, the best pizza in the entire area. The service was pleasant and food hit the mark dead on. We got the Whiz and the Hog. Great little pizza place in the middle of nowhere Caldwell County TX, if you are ever driving buy and want pizza I recommend stopping and picking up a pizza from here. The location is great and tells the history of the building and surrounding area, the owners are extremely friendly and their kids are so nice and welcoming. Got takeout close to closing and I'm hoping that's what affected the quality of the food. Got mozzarella sticks and my entire family did not like them. My father stated he wouldn't have even fed it to the dog. Very disappointed. Pizza was mediocre but the toppings for the margarita pizza ? We were here, for the first time, for about 2 hours. We dealt with 4-5 employees and every single one was always friendly and hospitable. We ordered two different pizzas and both were out of this world delicious. The crust is perfect. Not too thin and not too thick. Their iced tea is fresh and strong (doesn't taste like you just paid for water). We are looking forward to coming back and trying other pizzas. We also ordered mozzarella sticks and didn't care for them. They were very rubbery. Not melted and gooey like they should be. But the pizza and drinks made up for it a thousand times over. read more

We used to love their pizza. We always order the "Whizz". The one we got on last Friday was way off. There were hardly any topping on the pizza. It has no sausage at all. I knew they are hurting from the pandemic but cut the quality of the food is not acceptable. I would rather have them increase the price than lower the quality of the food. I am including a picture of the pizza I got on Friday and a picture of the one I used to get. You can clearly see the difference. What an amazing place. It was a great surprise to have stumbled in originally in the area to try a BBQ spot across the street which was closed. The place is so unassuming but soooo good. I tried the Longhorn Pizza just to play it safe at a new place. What a great choice. Pepperoni , Canadian Bacon and ground beef with a great tomato sauce and real mozzarella cheese on a perfect hand tossed crust which was cooked perfectly. The staff is wonderful and helpful which I believe consisted of Anita the owner and her daughter. This is one hidden gem. If you want great pizza with that Luckenbach feel this is it. I knew where I was going and totally drove by this place, good thing it's a small town to do a quick turn around. This rustic pizza hall has amazing pizza. The cheese is thick and reminds me of the 90's TMNT movie. We got the cheese, pepperoni and The Whiz- and all well worth the drive. Ranch is a must with pizza, for 32 cents you can get a side of homemade ranch. It's not a thick ranch or runny ranch but just right in my book if I wasn't trying to limit carbs, I seriously would have gone after the garlic sticks- the smell itself made my mouth water I would love to come back whenever in the area. FYI- no WiFi, perfect place to disconnect and have family time and enjoy your meal without all the cellphone distraction! read more

This pizza here is ok. I'd give the pizza 3 stars and the building 5 stars. The only reason I'd return here is the atmosphere. The building is a very cool old western style place. The service was acceptable, but nothing special. The pizza had way too much cheese on it. I walked around and secretly looked at other pizzas to see if ours was odd. They all appeared to have way too much cheese. It seems they mostly employ local high school aged kids. It's still a fun place to check out if you're in the area. read more

A friend recommended this place to us and I'm glad she did. It was a very cool setting, friendly staff and great food. We got an order of cheesy bread sticks with marinara sauce and homemade ranch for dipping. The cheesy sticks were good and the ranch was awesome. Then we got a medium half longhorn, half cotton eyed Joe pizza (half meat lovers, half 3 cheese). The pizza was so delicious! I ate all of my half and a slice of my wife's half. And most of the cheesy sticks... needless to say, I left there very full and satisfied with our visit. Definitely worth the 45 minute drive. We will be back. read more
