I am looking for a new, leftover 2019 Chevy Colorado. I wish Whitmoyer had what I was looking for. I got my 2017 from them. Purchasing from them 2 years ago was fairly easy. They honored their web price. I got a fair price for my trade, which they eventually bumped up by $500. The big sticking point was the height of the Colorado and would it fit in my garage. It was late when I got there and they were about to close after the test ride. This was basically a done deal so long as it would fit in my garage. Finally the Sales Manager agreed for me to take it home. It fit and I returned the next morning to sign the paper work. If there was a rating for negative stars this place would get it... Where do I start, I purchased a brand new 2019 Corvette Z06 from Whitmoyer had it deliver to VA. They delayed the shipping by several days, when I got the car the battery was dead, there was a paint defect on the bumper, I still do not have plates or the title and it has been 7weeks and counting, my 60 day tags I had to beg for them to send me, I have reached out to the GM Mr. Erb with no resolve, the sales manager Matt lied to me and was rude on the phone. GO TO KERBECK NOT WHITMOYER!!!!!!!! As a Disabled vet I tried to follow the chain of command I even sent a message to Mr. Whitmoyer and have not gotten a response for anything, this place is beyond crooked, and this was my first ever NEW car purchase. read more

Great dealership, most of all the staff is friendly, the Salesman and General Sales Manager

I feel the need to RANT. We bought a used car from Whitmoyer Auto Group at the end of July. The car was originally listed for $6495, but was reduced shortly before we went to look at it. The salesman assured us that Whitmoyers is VERY picky about the used cars they sell (only sell trade-ins), and raved about how they go over all their cars with a "fine toothed comb". When we drove the car, Don said he felt a "shimmy". The salesman, who was in the car with us, said it was just the tires. That because it had been sitting in the parking lot for awhile it had a "flat spot" that would work itself out after we drove it for awhile. We noticed it would need tires before winter and asked for $100 off to put towards new tires. He said he would ask the manager and let us know. We talked about it that night, and went back the next day to buy it (2008 Volvo...147,000 miles, but everything we read and people we asked said Volvos have longevity.) We were informed that the manager said no to the $100 off because we were getting such a great deal. Within days we heard clunking and vibrating. We took it back and they said after looking at it, there was nothing to be found. (Also had a bulb malfunction error which caused me to drive without tail lights one night!...they said they needed to replace bulbs, and tried to charge us for them). The sounds got worse so we took it to our mechanic. He found it needed a sway bar, and a 1/2 shaft. He also said he saw one of the wheels was cracked and welded...not something that would have passed inspection, and was unsafe and illegal. I was furious and called the dealership. The service manager said he wanted to look at it, but the welded cracked wheel was fine, and that the inspection handbook could be interpreted many ways. He said if there was any safety issue his shop would repair, but only safety issues. Next day i get a call saying that to "make me feel better, and for my peace of mind they would replace the wheel", but still was claiming it to be inspection worthy. No other repairs would be made by them. The wheel was replaced, and back to my mechanic for repairs (which ended up being a sway bar and TWO half shafts). That was last week...now today the air conditioning is blowing out barely cool air. It was very cold when we got it...im wondering if they didn't charge it just for the sale. For them to be so "trustworthy", they sure sold us a lemon, and are claiming no foul. I encourage anyone who is thinking of going to Whitmoyers in Mount Joy to purchase a car to rethink. Stay away!!!! We live over two hours away, we made a deal on a car, they Took my deposit over the phone.We scheduled to Pick up the car on the weekend. We Get a text message from the sales person stating that they sold the car and they will refund my deposit. They stated that it is "policy" not to hold cars but it is ok to take a persons deposit. My sister was lied to and when she got upset because they had changed everything the sales manager and general manager laughed at her and made jokes. Then after saying they weren't going to help her they walked out of the office and left her sitting there crying. Worst customer service I have ever seen, management is disgusting! read more

Since I purchased my car here in 2011 I have had it serviced there. However, when I atarted changing my own oil I found that the service tech at Whitmoyer left my oil filter very loose and it was leaking oil the entire time. I won't be returning to this service department. read more

We recently purchased a 32K + truck from Whitmoyer Ford / Chevy / Buick which we are very happy with. Ok, that's the end of the good part of the review. We traded in a 2003 company vehicle with over 150K miles which we knew would be headed to the auction as most reputable newer car dealers usually don't like to sell 13 yr old vehicles with 150k + miles since they can implode at anytime after the sale making the dealer look bad. The NADA "average trade in value" for the van we traded in is $1250.00. (Rough trade in value" is $750.00.) Ours was not rough it even had a brand new inspection. They would only offer us $500.00 on trade stating that they are only going to get $200-$300 max at the auction and they are already going to lose money on the trade. Even though they low balled us we went ahead and agreed to the trade since we didn't want the hassle of private selling. Now its about a week later and we know of a charity that has a great need of a vehicle for a single parent who has been riding their bicycle to work 34 mile round trip in this summer heat so they can keep their job. Of course, right away we think "hey" lets see if Whitmoyer sent it to the auction yet, maybe we can buy it back for the $500.00 and donate it to this person in need. So we stop in at Whitmoyers to find they still have it. So you would think they would be ecstatic to get $500.00 back for it since they were only going to get $200.00 at the auction. They proceed to tell us they decided to keep it, and they are in the process of spending $1800.00 on it for tie rods etc.. and if we want they will sell it back to us for $2800.00 after they fix it. "Really?" (I'd have to look back at the company service records but I believe the tie rods were replaced a couple years ago. You can tell they are all about helping the local community and building lasting customer relationships. (Yeah right) I might as well provide you with our only service experience with Whitmoyer too. Had a 2 year old car in for inspection. They inspected it and also did a software update on the car (recall update).All was good, after picking up the car we noticed the time / date was"frozen" and could not be set. No big deal I know how electronics can be a pain in the butt - so we take it back and they take care of the problem and all is now working fine. A few days later I realized there is a couple screws and a panel lying on the floor that they never put back after the repair. We have been to many Ford dealers in Lancaster county. I highly recommend Macguire Ford as we NEVER had a single problem with anything and they treat you great everytime they see you. Whitmoyers sales force is friendly and helpful, but after the sale? Not so much. Also have found that Hondru Ford (at least in Manheim) is no better than Whitmoyer read more
