The park was exceptionally clean, safe, and quiet, making for a very relaxing stay. Management and staff were professional, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. Bowery Haven Snackshop So you are wandering around Fishlake…read moreand realize you are hungry. Now what? There are no sit down restaurants left after Covid and pickings are pretty slim even fir takeout. Luckily there is the Bowery Haven Snack shop. What to like: fresh faced young people taking your order and handing it to you directly when it's done. Most of these folks are college kids from local schools up for the summer to work. Remember that when you tip! They all seem very happy. Burgers. A variety of burgers freshly made to order on a tasty fresh bun. Fries cooked in beef tallow. You can substitute macaroni salad but the fries...Remember how great these were back in the day? They also have a good chicken strip dinner and fish n chips. They have salads as well. Not to miss is their delicious lemonade is multiple flavors and fountain drinks. Top everything off with hand scooped ice cream and believe me the scoops are very generous. The only downside is that everything is a little pricey. However when you consider any alternative is 45 minutes away and the great people, it seems worth it. Plenty of parking and lots of nice souvenirs and fishlake clothes to browse while you wait. Highly recommended.

I'm actually glad that we did, it gave us a chance to explore other things instead. Friday night, we joined other campers and locals for a game of BINGO. It was fun to meet other people and enjoy a spirited game together. I think they might have been short staffed because it took a long time to place a dinner order, but eventually we got to enjoy a burger. We also checked out e-bikes and explored the adjacent bike trail. We wanted to go out a little early and the nice man at the counter was gracious enough to come in early for us. The trailer site we stayed in was nice-lots of shade and a nearby shower and bathroom. I would love to stay at the site #17 which backs up to the river or cabin that overlooks the water next time. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back again.

Unfortunately, this will be our last time staying at your resort. It's truly disappointing to see…read morehow poorly the property is being managed and maintained, especially because we used to love this place and have always enjoyed coming here. Unfortunately, this visit was one problem after another. We drove 12 hours to get here, only to be told that the key to our friends cabin was locked in the housekeeper's car at the repair shop. When we asked for help, the response was, "I don't know what to tell you." Then, a manager on speakerphone offered to bring a master key but made it clear that they weren't getting out of their car to deliver it. That level of customer service is unacceptable. The issues went far beyond the keys. We encountered: Lost cabin keys and employees who seemed unwilling or unable to help. Cigarette butts scattered everywhere. Run-down cabins, dirty sheets, and cats everywhere. A rude groundskeeper and poorly maintained grounds. Being charged for two cabins despite explicitly requesting a move to a better cabin by phone months in advance. A front desk employee who didn't know how to process a refund. Being told there were several restaurants open in Marysvale when we called ahead to ask how much food to bring, only to arrive and discover that none were open. No employees on-site overnight to assist guests when problems arise. The list goes on, but the bigger issue is the complete lack of management, maintenance, and basic customer service. Guests who travel long distances and spend their hard-earned money deserve better than this. It's genuinely sad because we used to love this resort and looked forward to coming back. Unfortunately, the condition of the property and the way guests are treated have changed our opinion entirely. We hope ownership takes these concerns seriously, because this place has so much potential, but it is being let down by the lack of care and accountability. We were excited to see what the new owners had done with this place only to be let down. Sadly, none of us will be returning.
