Absolutely beautiful place to make some memories. My friends and I came into town for a girls weekend to see the hot springs. The Inn was exactly what we were looking for to recharge and reconnect outside of the big city. The Innkeeper is so wonderful and hospitable, we loved all of the little touches-everywhere from the garden to the shower curtain. There is also a stellar little diner attached to the Inn. We found the chef to be extremely passionate about his cooking and the labor of love that is the Monroe Inn. It seemed like everyone we encountered was passionate about the Inn and the beautiful little town. So many people were working together to make the Inn and its diner just the most relaxing, beautiful, and enjoyable experience. The Monroe Inn changed hands in October 2023 and is now owned by a charming young woman, Ali, whose face is never without a smile. We were met by her and her chef Jesse when we arrived. Our room was delightfully cool in the July heat, spacious, clean and filled with charming vintage details. I loved reading the letters from WW 2 written by soldiers to their sweethearts. Ah, letter writing! We were happy to be able to walk next door to the restaurant attached to the inn, Ace's Place, after our long drive. Jesse, the passionate and sweet chef, knows his way around a kitchen and upon his recommendation I ordered the chicken schnitzel. An excellent decision! We did not know this when we booked but one meal at Ace's is free for each person staying at the inn!* We chose to pay for our dinner and use the perk for breakfast as we are rooting for this wonderful business. Oh, and the coffee is top notch, procured from a local coffee roaster. What restaurant uses that quality for coffee?! We bought a bag to take home with us. There are free hot springs just up the road and we drove to see them at sunset when the sun lit up the minerals on the rocks so beautifully. The locals are friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them. Our stay was so unique and filled with genuine warmth from the staff that we booked again for our return trip and so stayed 2 times in 10 days. The Inn is a few short miles off Route 70 and that made it very convenient for our drive. Mood - Roadtrip I will admit I have never stayed at a B & B before. I should have partaken in this adventure quite some time ago as it is a whole different experience. Now I dont know if all B & Bs are like the Monroe Inn, but if they are I surely have been missing out. Upon arriving, called the number to check in. The owner quickly gave the run down of the menu, where the keys are, and how to get to the "Hot Springs". It was a pop quiz in the span of 10 mins. I will admit my mind was taking so many mental notes. Especially where to go eat dinner as it was late when I arrived. All of my questions I had were answered with ease as well. I rented the cottage which is aside from the old Victorian house that adorns so many of the photos. It was neat. Had a separate kitchen, seating area, and bathroom with a shower stall. Everything was very clean. The grounds are very beautiful with a gazebo, koi pond, outdoor patio, and so much lush greenery and trees everywhere. I was def not in Vegas anymore. Beyond beautiful and relaxing. Full garden with chickens are right on the property. So serene. I quickly placed my order as I looked at a fellow Yelper Marcus B picture of the Cheese Plate and knew if I didnt eat anything else, I wanted that. Holy Moly that Cheese Plate was everything I desire and then some. The carrot butter had my attention along with each flag on the cheeses letting me know what one I am about to indulge next. They were out of Havarti during my visit as it wasnt on my plate. Which was a slight bummer, however it just lets me know that I need to go back and see what the other rooms are like. Would most def recommend. Pricing in my opinion for what I experienced was very reasonable. For your breakfast order it by 9pm, for the cheese plate and other items they are served daily. Pricing for the food options was reasonable as well, everything is farm to table or locally sourced. You could def taste the pride in the dishes that were made. Location is Monroe UT - ample parking - the town closes down early, but if you head into Richfield things stay open a bit later. read more

This is one of few places open in the winter and I still wouldn't have stayed elsewhere. I booked late in the day and it's understandable that my intended room wasn't ready. I was put in another one that was cleaned but hadn't been prepared and the room was super cold and still wasn't comfortable when I wanted to sleep. Insulation of the room wasn't good, it had several doors to other rooms (it's in an older home) that were blocked off but not insulated well. My major issue with the room was the lack of security. There was a locked door to another room but I had no way of dead bolting it and securing it myself. The door that did open into the room also didn't have a deadbolt so there was no way of securing myself from within (most hotel rooms have a latch). The owners are courteous and make you feel welcome. read more

I stayed here on my way from LA to Ft. Collins, CO. It was so much more homey than staying at a corporate motel on the Interstate. I stayed in the Western Room which had its own private entrance and full bath. Everything was impeccably clean. A nice perk are the hot springs that are just a mile up the road. I walked over and relaxed in them after my day of driving. You can pre-order from a varied breakfast menu in the evening for breakfast the next morning. It is delivered to your door and there is complimentary coffee in the room as well as cappuccino drinks available for pre-order. All in all I highly recommend this establishment. Stayed here the last night of my cross country trip and was so glad we did. From the outside it looks like an old home. Inside each room at the in has a bit of its own personality, all warm, welcoming, and very clean. I was wary when booking on air b&b because someone had left a review that it was off the hard to find and very far from the highway. This wasn't the case. It isn't right next to the highway, thank goodness, but enough into town that you don't feel like you are at a roadside motel. The inn keepers welcomed me even with my late arrival. I pre orderd an amazing farm to table breakfast. They even have directions to a free public hot springs and provided towels. There was a cupcake waiting for me in the fridge and treats for my pup. Let me start by saying Keltin is a great host. I called to book a room for this weekend as we were coming up to buy a bike at the Honda dealer in Richfield. I asked Keltin if he had a place I could store the bike the night we would be there so the crackheads and meth addicts wouldn't steal it out of the back of my truck. He offered a garage to put it into but once I was actually in Monroe I realized there weren't crackheads running around like Las Vegas so I parked my truck in the back where it was hidden from the street and it was fine. So when we got into town I called Keltin and he met us outside to greet us and showed us into the building to show us where the room was. Its the Monroe Suite with a full size kitchen, a sitting room, bathroom and a bedroom. This "room" is huge....Im mean HUGE! We ordered the breakfast for Sunday morning and it was delivered at 9am on the dot like we requested. It was good and I didn't realize how impossible it is to find a place to eat on Sundays in Utah....so I'm glad we ordered it rather than driving around in the snow to find a place. Nestled near the foothills of Glenwood Mountain, Utah, close to the historic Mystic Hot Springs of Monroe, is a "Utahpian" paradise wrapped in a beautiful little bed and breakfast called the Monroe Inn. We stumbled upon this little piece of heaven while searching for places to stay on our way home from a Colorado vacation. What a discovery! Keltin and company do an amazing job of hospitality. We felt like family. And don't get me started on the food. It was worthy of any five star dining establishment, with almost everything home grown and made from scratch. The Eggs Benedict are a must. We had the upstairs loft above the main house adjacent to the original Victorian home. Our view from the balcony was amazing. From the quaint garden below, of fresh vegetables and rustic pond to the splendor of Sevier Plateau in the distance, the eyes have plenty to enjoy. My wife was particularly pleased with the large Jacuzzi tub. The room was spacious and comfortable with a nice mix of historic feel and modern conveniences. For us, this was a stop along the way, but, if we lived closer, this would be a destination, no doubt. It's not far from plenty of sightseeing opportunities and the accommodations alone are destination enough. If you are looking for a quiet retreat or a restful and delicious point in the journey, I would highly recommend the Monroe Inn. We had a wonderful stay at the Monroe Inn which we found when we needed a last-minute place to stay - in the middle of winter with lots of snow. Didn't get to meet Keltin, but he was super-friendly and helpful on the phone as we made our booking, but Elizabeth made us feel quite at home and went out of her way to make sure we had a good stay and lots of good advice for our travels! What a find! Been coming to Monroe every month for the last 8 months and have always stayed in Richfield. Have I screwed up! This is one of the nicest cleanest rooms that I've had in a long time! It's all newly remodeled and clean is clean can be! A four post king size bed, a claw tub shower, refrigerator, place to eat, nice TV and the bed was extremely comfortable! I exercise every morning and usually find myself on the bed but I was definitely on the floor doing my exercises no problem. Bed and breakfast feel at motel prices. I understand they have breakfast but unfortunately I don't think I can take advantage of that. I hate to say it but this is probably my last time in Monroe but if I ever needed a reason to come back this would be it... read more

What an amazing find on Yelp! We needed last minute lodging between The Arches and Zion. This was a lovely bed & breakfast in a quiet residential area. We stayed in the Country Suite and it was sUch a nice respite while traveling. Alex was great and stayed up late to accommodate our late check-in. Room and bathroom were super comfortable, clean and felt like a treat after camping. The plush carpet in he room felt great after hiking for a few days. They also serve breakfast at an additional charge. We had 2 classic breakfasts and our poached eggs were PERFECTLY MEDIUM which is hard to find. This was a great find. The inn is in what I assume is an old apartment building or school. There is a lot of nice space to take advantage of around the property. You can sit by the koi pond and watch the fish or relax in the small seating area in the large back yard. We had the country suite upstairs. It was beautiful and roomy. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom has an old claw foot tub which my wife loved. The tub also has a shower which always presents a problem trying to keep from getting water everywhere. I Have to give the owner credit for risking this. They are in the process of remodeling the two car garage on the back of the house into a cafe. This did not effect our stay at all but I just mention it so people are not put off by the appearance. The breakfast was delivered to us at the time we requested. We split one breakfast plus two extra eggs and had plenty. This inn is in an old building so there are some things that are expected. The tub is not new and shiny. The stairs to the upstairs are very steep. Noises in the house can be heard but for our stay it was very quiet. You are on the main highway but nobody goes through Monroe. ;-). The hot springs are just up the street. There is not much else in Monroe but that is why we stayed. The owners son-in law was very welcoming and later the owner. We will be back. read more

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. My husband and I were traveling through and booked a room through Airbnb. I was in constant communication with Keltin, letting him know the status of our arrival. When we arrived at the Inn around 11:30pm, there was ZERO response from the owners. We waited outside in the freezing cold for about 30 minutes (while calling and texting the owner numerous times) and were directed to their "emergency contact" who lived 2 hours away and really was no help at all. Finally, we were forced to find a local inn in the next town that luckily had an available room for the night. I am very unimpressed at the lack of communication and care from the owners. Even now, 2 days later, we have not been contacted with an explanation or an apology. I would not recommend this fiasco to anyone. Terrible service, do not trust them!!! read more

Our family was trekking from Los Angeles to Breckenridge and decided to find a place to stop. What a fantastic find with Monroe Inn!! We stayed in the window suite, spacious, a jetted bathtub that our son loved after a long day of driving, and right down the street from a gorgeous, peaceful hot springs. Best yet the breakfast was incredible - farm to table - scrumptious eggs Benedict, buckwheat pancakes, orange juice, so much garden fresh food it was amazing fuel for the day. We stayed at the Monroe Inn one night this past week. It's an older home that offers rooms to passing by travelers and/or people wanting to explore the area. The innkeeper, Keltin, was very polite and accommodating to our personal needs. Accommodations were OK for the night; our room had a private entrance and entrance to the home itself, and a private bathroom. Breakfast is homemade and charged additionally to the room fee; we thought that the room fee was a bit pricey for the accommodations we had though. My husband and I had such a great stay here on the last night of our cross-country road trip vacation. It was such a wonderful change from all the crummy road-side motels. The historic details were so charming, including the clawfoot tub in our upstairs suite. It was so clean and the bed was so comfortable, and we enjoyed chatting with one of the proprietors the next morning over a cup of coffee. They are really doing a great job with the place. What a hidden gem in such a quaint town! Keltin and Elizabeth were the absolute best hosts, we were completely blown away by the hospitality shown during our stay. Keltin was the perfect tour guide, recommending some amazing (and FREE!) hot springs, and Elizabeth was awesome to chat with about their onsite flock of chickens and ducks, even grabbing one of the baby chicks for us to hold and play with! We also had a great time enjoying the newly minted fire pit with the hosts. They even make sure to consider four legged travelers, and Willie the Alpenpug loved roaming the grounds and noshing on his complimentaryBark Box treats. The cottage which we stayed in was so comfortable and you can tell that the owners have put a lot of heart and soul into this establishment.
