$45 for two burgers and fries with milkshakes. We've heard about Hoovers for years and expected a steak, fried chicken, salmon type menu, but the restaurant is just burgers and fries. The fries and shakes were good, but the burgers were terrible. My wife's burger came with everything and although there was ketchup on the table the burger was swimming in ketchup and mustard. Mine was the "Cowboy" and came with fried onions, and the onions were so overdone, breaded, and SALTED that they were no longer onions. I removed the onions and ate what was left. I think the beef had some funky filler in it because it was packed tight and not loose like hamburger, and it tasted like it had oats or something in it. Both of us felt like the burger was with us all night, if you know what I mean. The staff needed some training but tried hard. I'd like to see this place succeed, but the prices were high and the cook needs to take some lessons. read more

Went on a Family Tubing party and came here for Lunch. They have a grill and small store here. I ordered the Bacon Burger with fries. It was served on a Bagel bun with all the fixings. It came hot, juicy and very delicious. I tried the Spicy Fries which were sprinkled with a spicy chili powder. They were darn good. My Wife had the Turkey bacon sandwich. It was loaded with meat and she said it was very good. We had 7 in our party and no complaints. They had regular customers ordering meals and kept up with the large amount of orders. Most places would be buried with this amount of business. Kudos to the staff. Great food and friendly service. Would highly recommend and will stop in next time in the area. See pics of our meal. Stopped for lunch June 2023. Sandwiches & burgers were $10 and another $1.50 for fries. I got turkey bacon sandwich & was ok except I do not like peppers and they put on red pepper sauce so threw away half the bread. Onion rings are like french onion soup onions & they were so baaaad. Hubby had burger served on a huge pretzel bun. Too much bread, tasted funny, and 15 minutes later he had food poisoning. Not recommend wasting money here. Too bad too. Pulled off of hwy 89 to have a quick supper, and I wasn't disappointed. Along with the menu, we loved the special, I had the Flat Iron and it was SO YUM. Something I thought was great was how fresh everything is. They use all clean ingredients and local suppliers for their menu. Such a breath of fresh air these days! For a fast casual restaurant (order at the counter), I was surprised by the service standard and how much they cater to each table. Food comes out fast! Hoovers closes at 6pm. We showed up at 5:58pm and was greeted so kindly. We said they didn't have to feed us but they insisted. So so kind! And the burgers were AMAZING! The buns are to die for! We will go back because they are so kind and the food is so good! read more

Even though this says closed, it was open and providing amazing service this past weekend. We stayed at Hoover's in an amazing family cabin (Hoover House). We had delicious burgers at the grille and enjoyed a beautiful scenic stay . We floated the river and enjoyed family fun. One suggestion insect repellent is a must. We ate two meals here, the first a solid "1" star, and the second a "3" averaging a "2." Like the cabins, they don't have much competition which lends to culinary laziness and the option to gouge customers. The first meal for the family consisted of a flavorless sirloin, frozen chicken pieces, and some pretty-decent hand battered fish. The fries and sides were cold, old, and not worth a mention. The "famous" cheesy potatos were cold in the center and boiling on top, the sure sign of a microwave. Worth mentioning is that dinners come with a Utah scone that is very good. We had much better luck the second go around. The burger was fantastic, filling, and the kind that runs out of bun before the burger. The brisket was fall-apart fantastic and spent the better part of a day in the smoker. Equally good were the ribs and the BBQ sauces that came with them. We did get "Kid Menu Raped" both nights. The first was a frozen pizza stick for a few bucks and the second night was a $7 bowl of Kraft Mac and Cheese (the kind that runs about 69 cents a box). I really hate kids menus. The place seems pretty hit or miss. We had the same staff both nights so it may be the choices on the menu that drive the difference in food experience. read more

You'll come across this place after miles of nothing. It looks like a horror movie if you're not used to roadtripp-ing (like me), but it's really great! They have a huge menu so there's something for everyone in the group. I got a chicken fried steak with white gravy and fries, and it came with a free salad bar plate. The salad bar is pretty pathetic so I gave my plate away, but my entree was really rich and filling. I could only finish half of it, the portions are generous. The service is really great here. I love our waitress. The place has quirky decor with things hanging from the ceiling. There's a clean bathroom available which is important since you'll probably be coming off of a 1.5 hour drive! They also sell their own Hoover tshirts, and Utah labeled hats and tees if you need souvenirs. read more

One in our party did and the first batch came out in a nice big clump. After that they got smaller and colder. They were also in a hurry to get rid of us.. bringing us our bill before we were done eating and not asking if we wanted dessert. HOW RUDE. We spent a lot of money in there so there was no reason for that. For this reason they don't get a higher rating. I was out here visiting my Grandparents and we came to Hoovers 3 times for lunch & dinner. First lets start out with the Honey and Butter topping. I was graced for the first time in my life trying the honey & butter topping at Hoovers (side note: I may or may not have gone to the local grocery store and bought three for back home) on the homemade scones. Oh My Gosh!! This restaurant is Fabulous. The food, the service, the employees and the owners are WONDERFUL!! This isn't the Hoover's of old. New owners!! The menu is small, bratwurst and burgers. Horrible if you have much in the way of dietary restrictions. Food is expensive like a fine restaurant but served on a piece of wax paper on a small cookie sheet. You order McDonalds style, get your own drinks, get your own silverware and condiments. Gone is the great food and nice portions. The remodel is nice. The crab which Hoover's is famous for us gone! The Hoover Fries are gone! Generally not impressed. I was very grateful for their honestly as well. We left our credit card and didn't realize until we were already 30 minutes away. Came in after a long buggy ride. The beer is cold, although they are only allowed to serve 3.2 beer. But the food is outstanding. I had the steak and crab legs, and it was delicious. Our family of 4 stayed two nights in the Grizzly cabin at Hoovers Resort. It was a clean and spacious two story log cabin. Downstairs is the living room, kitchen, laundry and full bathroom with tub/shower. Upstairs has a queen master, second bedroom with queen and double. A Jack and Jill bathroom with shower connects the two rooms. AC works great!!! On a side note, our cell phone did not have connection but the resort has Wi-Fi. The new management is very welcoming and attentive. We enjoyed our stay and would return! We enjoyed a dinner at Hoovers Restaurant and the wait staff couldn't have been nicer! read more

My family and I rented the renegade. It was comfortable and clean enough for cabin living. We enjoyed the fire pit. We also rented tubes and had a nice time floating down the river. They are close to everything you need to do in the area (ATV, rafting, tubing). We accidentally left our fire stick in cabin. The new owner, Bo was very accommodating. Excellent service, two dollars cheaper than the nearby Big Rock Candy Mountain resort tubing (although a shorter trip). It was a nice two hour float, they drove us up to the drop off and everyone we interacted with was incredibly cheerful and helpful. Such a beautiful float would highly highly recommend! read more

My family rented most of the cabins and several RV spots for a family reunion. We found the place to be WAY better than was advertised on the website. All the cabins have full kitchens including dishes and basic cookware and at least one 3/4 bath. I had the Grizzly and it was very spacious. The kitchen with a table for 6 and a large living room, full bath were on the first floor (also a laundry room) and both bedrooms with a jack and jill bath on the second floor. The bedrooms were huge. In the room with two beds they both fit very comfortably. In the room with the queen it could easily include an air mattress, crib or other sleeping accomodation. They have a large pavilion with huge fridge, several grills, countertop and sink. It is lighted for evening use. The area around the pavilion is grassy and fairly flat and has several large trees that provide nice shade. They have several lawn games like bocce, corn hole, etc. The river runs right next to the resort and they have tubs to rent and will take you to a drop-in place about a mile up that will give you about a 45 minute ride down the river. They can also arrange a rafting trip if you want. The resort is also connected to 450 miles of ATV trails so bring your 4-wheeler! If you have a family reunion to plan this is the place to go! read more

We have tried just about every place in Marysvale and other places along the Piute Trail System. This is great food. I love the open salad bar and the portions are a good size. The prices however are pretty steep for a place in the boonies but it is good and they have a good list of choices on the menu and if I have to pay a bit more to have more choices in the middle of no mans land I will do it. We were SO impressed by Josh and his amazing attentiveness while visiting the resort today. He was full of helpful information, was extremely helpful with rentals and didn't try to oversell or be pushy and even helped up with our own kayaks after helping us with our float tube rental. He showed genuine concern when we took longer than normal to make it down the river and was very helpful getting us and the kids out of the river. He even offered to help us load and tie down our kayaks! We will definitely be back soon and look forward to working with Josh again. read more
