This review is only for the accommodation part. Not skiing. We rented apartment through Eagle point resort for 3 nights. A lot of people rent through Airbnb- but I found- renting directly is cheaper and is just as good. We stayed in the Wooded Ridge, apartment 11. It's first floor, so anything on the second floor- you hear every pin drop. We do have two toddlers, so it didn't bother us. I definitely didn't want to bother others. And in the night time we used white noise machine, so we didn't hear anything. Actual place is equipped with everything you need. Like kitchen, and towels and bedding. No issues there. Make sure to bring everything with you when it comes to groceries. I mean EVERYTHing! Salt, oil, if you are vegetarian (or specially vegan) don't expect to find anything in Beaver. Also- chains is a must. We went end of March. And snow was knee high. It was a blizzard too. Kids and I loved playing in the snow. We didn't ski. But it seems like a wonderful place for it. It wasn't crowded. I can't wait to go back. Felt so quiet and serene there. I overall loved

I am a fan of Utah Skiing, but not of the long trip to Salt Lake City to get some in. Having skied in Southern Utah before at Brianhead, I am a big proponent of the lack of lines and the exceptional snow you find here. Eagle Point is a little smaller than many of the ski resorts in California, but for the 2012-2013 season, they are offering FREEEEE SKIIIIING for California residents (with proof of residency). I know this sounds too good to be true, but it is. After spending a week here with slope-side accommodations, I can truly say that I had a blast. We got dumped on early and had 4 feet of powder to enjoy. This was the nice fluffy powder that Utah is legendary for. A word of caution, though. The resort is at a high elevation, so take it easy for the first few days, especially if you are staying slope-side. People do get altitude sickness, as my sister did. Lots of water and limit the caffeine and alcohol at first. You will be grateful for the advice. Regardless, if you want something fresh and unspoiled, try Eagle Point. I know I will be back.

It's a long windy road to get to this ski hill & on a snowy day it's frightening! I was afraid for my life. However, it was some of the best skiing we've seen. Don't expect quality accommodations like the big resorts or amazing food! The lodges are extremely small. But EVERYONE... every single person was so nice & helpful!! They fixed my sons snowboard for free. Lent us ski poles. Totally accommodated our kids in lessons. It was a great experience. Plus they have a free shuttle!!

I have no idea how the resort is and maybe I'll never find out. They were closed during the last week of December 2011. How is that even possible?!?! This is Utah! =( *Extreme disappointment!* Just for that, we had to drive to Brian Head Resort!! Yeah! Excellent alternate.

Bad lift staff, yelling at kids off the lift. The mountain is very small but can be great for beginners. Just wish it functioned better.

We got in right before midnight and the hotel stated they didn't have our reservation and the rooms were booked. We had booked in advance through Hotels.com and they didn't have our reservation information. We showed them our receipt/proof and had to be on the phone with Hotels.com trying to resolve Quality Inns issue. Hotels.com stated that it was a Quality Inn issue and they would have to resolve it but the Quality inn refused to find any resolution for their own error. Quality Inn was not helpful and didn't not provide any assistance or alternative options for us. We ended up having to rebook and eat the cost even though we had already paid. We obviously fought otherwise but at this point it was past 1am. In addition to customer service being absolute trash, this place is disgusting. Dirty as hell, nasty breakfast, and unclean. People should really be paid to stay in this dump. Would have rather slept in my car for the night.

I've never been told by any motel 6 that our two cats must be caged at all times. The reason the…read morenight clerk gave David was "so they don't poop on the beds." The reason we stay at Motel 6 as we make our frequent cross-country car trips is the pet policy. Two cats, no hassles. The guy who checked us in was definitely looking to hassle. "We used to allow that, but then one pooped on a bed." Really? Nobody believes you. You just hate animals-- which makes Motel 6 a bad fit for you, and makes this specific Motel 6 a very bad fit for families with non-human members. This place does NOT welcome pets. I am wondering if it's just a way to keep our $100 cash deposit? (They did refund the cash deposit after inspection ... but I have no confidence that our card would not have been charged days after we checked out. If you are forced to stay here, definitely pay cash.) Not carriers, cages. I'm pretty sure this isn't policy. Is this an independently owned location? Can they do this? I won't post until I see if they give the deposit back. They said "as long as you leave after 8" you will be refunded "same day." It's a cash deposit?! Why say "same day?" We don't cage our cats... but we did comply and keep them in their carriers. They were both miserable. Meanwhile, screaming babies are apparently not a "poop in the bed" risk as their cries could be heard throughout the property. . .wait - maybe their parents were also forced to keep them in cages? Edit: The deposit was refunded after the room was examined. The cats had to spend the night in their carriers after eating and using their boxes. I felt sick about this, but we were too tired to drive to the next motel 6-- it would have been dangerous. As other reviews have mentioned, the room was clean enough, and the pool was (sadly) closed. The morning staff was the polar opposite of the night clerk-- despite being a bit sleepy (maybe we woke her...) The person at the desk when we checked out was very nice and even helpful. We followed their rules and (as always) cleaned up the space before leaving. The pillows were hard, and I woke up after very little sleep with pain. We did not use the bathroom and left all but one towel still rolled. The envelope provided to leave a tip was ludicrous after our cats had been forced to sleep in their carriers. No hot water for tea and the coffee was so bad that I didn't care that it was free.... It was pretty cheap, and the deposit was returned--- but if we hadn't been too tired to drive, we would not have stayed. I felt unwelcome.

Not Pet Friendly…read more This is the most unfriendly 'Pet Friendly' place. I specifically booked this place on a road trip because it was cheap and thought it was pet friendly. First thing the guy says is that this place is pet friendly but if the dog goes on the bed it will be $20 extra. I have never heard of such a thing so I looked it up online. Nowhere on the website does it say that. I don't like being lied to. Normally, in the US, if a place chooses to be pet friendly it means they are allowed in the room which includes everything in it and that usually means the bed. We all now what does on in motels and I'd be more concerned with the real problems that go on in these places.
