The owners have done a great job of improving their property but the downside is it's way expensive now. Kind of a catch 22. Fish lake is a beautiful place and we love visiting. I wish there was a restaurant still to sit down and eat but it is no longer.

3.5/ 5 stars We enjoyed staying at Bowery Haven in their RV park. We stayed 10 days in space 69. They have cabins to rent, as well. The view of Fish Lake from our site was gorgeous. They have a basic convenience store and restaurant in walking distance. There is also a marina with fishing and pontoon boats and boat slips to rent. You do have to cross the road to go to the marina which is right on the lake. The one serious drawback to the RV park is that the pull-through sites in some rows have big drop offs at the front of the sites. It would not be safe to pull through (which is why you pay extra for a pull through so we and our neighbors had to back out of our sites. I would definitely go back to Bowery Haven. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. Kaylie and Danielle were terrific at the front desk and phone when making reservations (finding a site that would fit) and adding days. Shelby was our server a few times in the restaurant and was wonderful helping us. I highly recommend Bowery Haven.

I really enjoyed my stay here! I was in cabin 19, one of their older cabins. Instead of staying in a tent, we decided to stay here and it was a super fun experience! Sure it's very rustic and old, but I feel like that's all apart of the experience. It provided warmth, running water, and your own toilet. The showers are located away from the cabin, but they give you shower tokens to use for that. If you're looking to go out for a weekend fishing with family, and you want to get away from modern technology, it's a great place to bond with one another. Between the two bedrooms they have wood boards, so it offers some privacy but it's not sound proof at all. I was personally totally fine with it. Overall I enjoyed my stay and it made my fishing trip much more comfortable!

Wonderful Family Owned & Operated motel. The servers in the restaurant are delightful and very welcoming. Beware that the 'single scoop' of ice cream is like a pint so be prepared to share. Some of the employees were kind enough to show us the project they are working on.. two HUGE luxurious cabins that sleep i think 16+. I've attached those sneak peek pictures! The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because the 'housekeeping' in the rooms is not good, even for a rugged mountain motel. (pictures attached) and because we rented a pontoon at the marina and they did not go over any safety features like how to use the radio in an emergency (there is no cell service) or where a fire extinguisher was. Overall, Bowery Haven is amazing because of the people who work there and we will continue to make the annual trip.

It was ok. Bathrooms were always dirty and needed to be stocked with toilet paper and was never cleaned. Camp host is friendly at times but not a fan of being told to stock the bathrooms

That was a very pleasant surprise. This place seems newly constructed and was very nicely designed to be spacious feeling in a very simple way. The main building was just a row of rooms, similar to a motel, but the artistry of the rope walls flowing like a canyon, really uplifted the whole feel. In the room the green plants, wall art and simplicity of a clean room, with the space to have comfy seating gave a feeling of ease. The open view to the cliff wall from the sliding door wall was about the prettiest scene you would want out of your bedroom. They offer rooms with and without a hot-tub on the back porch, as well as dome rooms, some with skylights for night time star viewing. However the domes don't open for reservations until sometime in April, the rooms with hot-tubs go very quickly!! I regret to say that we only stayed overnight. I now wish I had given us more time in this delightful hotel.

I stayed here three nights and was excited that each day I came back, the complimentary snacks and sodas were restocked along with fresh ground coffee from a local coffee establishment. Also a good sized mini fridge with freezer and microwave. There's art all around you in the room and outside and the bathroom was incredibly clean with fabulous products. If I ever come back to Torrey (which I don't think I will), I would absolutely stay again but otherwise cannot recommend this place enough!

And as of January 2025, the owners of the Grill have acquired the Lodge, so it's all one entity now. The Lodge has very comfortable rooms, a pond with an amazing variety of resident and migratory birds, a second-floor Great Room and balcony overlooking the pond, a hot tub, and ample grounds for children and pets to run. It's an easy drive up to Capitol Reef National Park for the day. Burr Trail Scenic Backway, starting right around the corner, is 67 miles of some of the most beautiful terrain you'll ever see. Don't miss the little slot canyon 11.5 miles down the trail! Last summer I took a pillow and some reading material and set up on two flat rocks near the back end of the slot canyon. It's nature's most gorgeous reading room ever! The Grill features vegetables and salads from their farm, local pastured beef and bison, and some of the best desserts ever. My two favorite orders are the Dinner Jenchilada with calabacitas (squash) and the Chocolate Chile Cream Pot. But they are both rich, so I have them on different days. Big secret -- it tends to be quieter in mid-summer! People think it's going to be hot in July, like other Utah areas like Zion, so they plan to come later. But the average July high is just 88, with an overnight low of 60, so the wonderful hiking trails nearby are pleasant for morning and evening hikes pretty much every day.

Ali remembered I wasn't fond of lights at night & unplugged the ones in backyard. Dan is the man who seems to excel at everything including cooking! We found the chef to be extremely passionate about his cooking and the labor of love that is the Monroe Inn. It seemed like everyone we encountered was passionate about the Inn and the beautiful little town. So many people were working together to make the Inn and its diner just the most relaxing, beautiful, and enjoyable experience. We fell in love with this sleepy little town and can't wait to go back.
