Enjoyed the campground here for a weekend. It was nicely maintained and in a great location, surrounded by beautiful nature and close to Capital Reef. The gift shop was WOW... better than any gift shop in town; don't miss it. They had a wide variety of unique souvenirs, local crafts, and camping essentials. What you can miss is the onsite BBQ restaurant... that place was slow, with microwaved potatoes, and messed up food; yuck. The service was disappointing, and the overall experience was not worth it. But everything else was great, including the friendly staff at the campground and the clean facilities. plus showers without quarters required (yes, you read that right!). We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back (but will skip the BBQ place).

Very nice RV park. We stayed in an RV site, but they also have tent sites and cabins. The RV site (back-in site) we stayed at had full hook ups. The site was entirely gravel, but had a picnic table and was very spacious. The pull through sites have gravel pads, but also have a grass area with a tree. The views from the RV park are stunning! The park is quiet, and there are lots of places where you can walk your dog. The laundry rooms are clean. The gift store has a good variety of items. There is a pool (it was closed the entire time we were there because of the weather, but it looked nice). There is an on-site restaurant where you can order a meal to eat in the pavilion or get packaged to go. Morning muffins are available if you order by 7:00 the night before. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Rented a jeep here and was charged a $50 "cleaning fee" for bringing it back with dust on the exterior of the vehicle. Very disappointing considering the obvious purpose of a jeep rental in this location is to drive it down a dirt road. Photo of the jeep at the end of the drive included so you can see how "filthy" it clearly was. When's the last time a car wash cost you $50? An obvious scam. Stay away from this place.

This is a lovely campground! We highly recommend it!!! The camp store and privately owned BBQ restaurant on this property set this place apart! You must eat at the BBQ place!!!! It is amazing! And the camp store was well stocked with fun reasonable gifts. We even bought gifts to give at Christmas...as the items they sold were unique and well priced. The campground is so lovely! Fresh muffins, jams, abundant laundry facilities, heated pool, beautiful cleanly raked sites, gorgeous views, large grassy area....and so much more. We highly recommend this campground!

Great place to stay, with beautiful views! Impressed with the grounds staff consistently working to groom vacant spots, collecting garbage, watering, etc. The on-site restaurant was fantastic (excellent tri-tip!). Also appreciated the general store carrying ice, etc, the large grassy area for activities, the pool, and playground. Internet signal could be improved to provide a better experience to work from the park. Overall, great experience and will be back!

What a find!! And reasonable prices. A nice stopping point between Arches & Bryce Canyon, just outside Capitol Reef NP. Super friendly and accommodating staff with beautiful campsites with great views and sunsets. Very open and peaceful, nice pool for the kids, great laundry facilities and a very cute general store with gift shop.

Very clean! Very accommodating! We see bathrooms, sites and garbages being cleaned out several times a day. Yummy muffins and coffee in the morning. Dog friendly and kids are having a blast on the play ground. Will be back a lot!!

My wife and I stayed 2 nights here for our 25th anniversary trip. So glad we did! When I made the reservation I called and requested their favorite spot and they gave us #13. We were blown away by the view. The entire camp ground is clean and very well maintained. Staff is friendly and super helpful. We rented a Jeep from them and drove the Cathedral Valley loop as they suggested. Jeep was new, clean and handled the trail like a champ. The trail was incredible. Took us 9am-6pm to complete as we stopped to take pics and took some side trails. Would definitely come back here!

It was one of the best campgrounds I've stayed at. They clearly take pride in the upkeep of the park, and the staff is super friendly.

From the moment we pulled in, we were warmly welcomed by Leslie, the kindest and most thoughtful hostess we've ever met. She truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel seen, supported, and at home. Her presence alone makes this park exceptional. The park itself is beautifully maintained--clean, quiet, and perfectly laid out for both comfort and community. Whether you're staying for a night or a week, you'll find peace and care in every corner of the space. The views alone are worth the stop. Traveling as a family, it meant the world to be in a place that felt safe, personal, and genuinely welcoming. Leslie was friendly and always there with a smile, helpful tips, and really made my kids feel like they were just as important as everyone else in the park. If you're reading this and considering a stay, don't hesitate. Sand Creek RV Park is a gem, and Leslie is the heart that makes it shine. We're incredibly grateful for the experience and already looking forward to returning. Thank you, Leslie, for everything!

The young woman at the office was super friendly and helpful in getting us settled. Although they don't have a dedicated RV dump station, she said it was fine to use the water and sewer hookups from any of the unoccupied RV sites. An added bonus was having not one, but two food trucks on site, as well as a coffeehouse in the lobby. Our cabin was very comfortable too. Highly recommend!

We've been all over the country, stayed at lots of places, and experienced things we've liked and not liked at all of them. We've explored this place and this town in all 4 seasons. Escalante Cabins & RV Park is inarguably one of the best. The sites are all big enough for big rigs and they're not all jammed together. There are incredible mountain views from the sites, and as soon as the sun goes down, you can step out side and see the whole of the milky way. Meteor showers, Eclipses, I even caught a picture of a bolide - a meteor exploding when it enters the atmosphere. As photographers, there's really no better place to be. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, they're familiar with the area hikes and the visitor center across the street is open year round to provide recommendations and road conditions for wherever you might want to explore. Dogs are welcome and the sites have reasonable sized lots for them to be outside. There's a little dog park and everyone we've met has been extremely dog friendly. That's important to us. It's hard to recommend a place more highly. They're here to make sure your stay is comfortable - but if you are comfortable, they stay out of the way! This location offers an actual working laundromat, showers, firewood, and propane for travelers, you don't have to be staying at the park to use those. There's a community room that can be rented for larger events at extremely reasonably prices. The internet speeds at this park are (at times) better than I've seen from ANY campground. I've seen 300Mb down and 100Mb up, which is completely insane. Better than starlink, better than wired cable we used to use as homeowners. That fluctuates at times pretty wildly, but most campgrounds in comparison are throttled to 5mb down 0.5mb up. That alone puts this park above others for me. It's very impressive. This area is very remote and has spotty cell coverage, but there are VZW and ATT towers and both work acceptably well within the "town" area and from the park. People come here to find themselves, explore the wilderness, write books, sing songs, push their physical limits hiking and climbing, and just get away. We've stayed here in the summer and in the winter and we would stay here again without question in the future. There's so much to see and so much to do that there is no limit on how long a vacation here could be fun and fulfilling. That's all up to you.

GREEDY! Do not recommend if you are a women solo traveler!…read more I booked this spot because the cabin looked cute and quaint. Unfortunately I did not have a great experience at all. I have to take a medication that makes me very sick. I was feeling okay when booking, but it took a turn that afternoon. So I requested a refund 3 hours before arrival which was denied. TOTALLY FINE! So I stuck it out and decided to head over despite not feeling good at all. When I arrived it was great! The bed was super hard though. Then I went to the bathroom and noticed the code that everyone gets is the same for boys and girls showers/ bathrooms.. I've been harassed before as a solo traveler so I take safety seriously. 1. The bed so super hard and uncomfortable (I could deal with that!) 2. Men have 100% access to women showers and bathrooms. That's where I draw the line. I asked the front desk worker for a blanket for extra support, AND just to confirm that I have NO safety measurements as a woman when I shower. Once that was verified, I actually wanted to leave. So I asked for a refund or any $ back at all so I can stay somewhere else to shower safely and get good sleep with a better mattress. The following is why I'm leaving 1 star: The blonde woman was extremely condescending and rude to me. She said "ehm, no. I'm sorry. I mean you already tried due to some illness before so it just kind of sounds like you're just trying to get out of the reservation" with a horrible attitude. My illness is NOT visible, and this was also before I found out men have 100% full access to women's bathrooms and showers! *if you're a women, spend the extra money and stay at yonder! Women's bathroom has private locks for showers and safety/ privacy is actually considered! All good experiences over there, and they are MUCH nicer and not condescending !!!
