Absolutely loved our cabin, it was clean and well kept. It had the perfect amount of room for 3 adults and a 6 month old. We brought our cookstove and used the fridge & microwave. Amazing place - cannot say enough good things! Astoundingly beautiful location, cute little cabin that still feels spacious and has all the amenities you need (full-size toiletries in the bathroom!). The bonus is the family pets come by to visit you as well! We had the friendliest 2 dogs and 1 cat greet us at various times of our stay. At night, you can watch cowboys do some cattle roping in the little neighboring arena. Also very conveniently located to Capitol Reef and Canyonlands NP. This is the perfect place after exploring Canyonlands and before heading into Capitol Reef. There are four cabins on a quiet road. Our cabin was immaculate. The cabin was not huge, but certainly not tiny. There was plenty of room to not feel crowded. It has a small kitchenette, with a microwave and small fridge. A table, with two chairs, couch, and dresser. The bathroom was equipped with large bottles of shampoo and body wash, so you don't have that motel feel. Driving into town is about maybe a seven minute drive, and there are several dining options. This cabin was so sweet, I didn't want to leave! Our hosts live a few steps away, and there are two extremely friendly dogs on the premises. I love this place. read more

Stayed here two nights while hiking Capitol Reef National Park. Cabins are located on a working ranch and aligned in a row right next to one another; however they feel very private and spacious. Kitchenette has all the basics (sink, microwave, small fridge/freezer, coffee maker, toaster hot plate) as well as plates, cups, silverware, dish soap, etc. Each cabin has a picnic table and grill; they even provide charcoal, lighter fluid and matches. Shower had good pressure and hot water; towels were even nicer than the $350/night Moab Marriott property we stayed at earlier on our trip. Beautiful stargazing at night right from the front porch. Great communication from April during the reservation process and when I contacted her the day we were checking in to let her know we would be arriving after dark. This place was amazing!! The guys who runs it is a VERY nice and humble man that hails from southern Utah. We needed a last minute place to stay and he had one cabin open for us to stay, super accommodating. The cabins are clean, fully stocked and very reasonably priced. Bottom line...you should stay here. This place is tranquil, relaxing and the hosts could not be more friendly. Its located on a lovely home ranch overlooking red rocks and nearby Torrey. There are only 4 rental cabins so you can get to know your neighbors or rent all 4 for a family vacation. We enjoyed our stay at Cowboy Homestead Cabins and would stay there again. The location - just 10 minutes or so from Capitol Reef - and view is awesome. We liked the amenities of the cabin too - really clean, has comfortable beds (not too soft and not too hard), a very nice kitchenette, and also a bbq grill and picnic table to each cabin. I had prepped and froze dinner and defrosted it using the camp stove (which I placed outside on the picnic table for obvious safety reasons). The kitchenette had a full set of utensils and plates and bowls. This place is ideal for families and couples alike. The cabin is roomy and has a table good for four to eat around (which we did as it was very cold outside when we visited). Highly, highly recommended. One thing to note: the wifi can be spotty. So if you are a workaholic or just need to check your work email, you may be upset. However, that said, you can always walk up to the main house. Signal is good there. No one else who reviewed this place mentioned wifi issues, so it may just have been bad luck on my part. One more thing: We slept well here. As the cabins are individual, you don't have to hear other people through say a motel's thin walls. The winds howled on our second night there and I marveled at how cozy and snug we were inside. read more
