I would give more stars if I could! Kelso's catered my wedding reception and helped make it the reception of my dreams! The food was INCREDIBLE and beautifully plated. No one left a drop behind! Their personalities are top tier and just added on to an already special night. All while cooking a 4 course meal, they kept the kitchen looking nice and clean and made sure it was totally spotless before they left. Leading up to the wedding night, they allowed us to completely customize our menu in whatever way we wanted and they were super helpful on narrowing our decisions down when we got a bit overwhelmed/indecisive. In addition to how great they were, their prices are insanely reasonable for what they offer. My husband and I couldn't have been more happy with the service they provided us. I really wish I could say that I have tried their food, because the other reviews make it sound amazing. But sadly I will never get to taste it. I have called these guys 6-7 times over the last two months. In that time I actually caught them on the phone once, during which time we supposedly booked my event. But then they never followed up with the promised email. So I called 2-3 more times, and finally they called me back today to say that they made a mistake and were already double booked on my date. I was going to give them a 2/5 stars because at least they found me a replacement caterer. But I looked on their referral's website and that guy costs 2.5x more than what I agreed with Kelso's, and now they haven't called me back all day either. So now my event is 12 days away and I have no food. Boo. read more

Kelso's was the best pick for our wedding reception. We wanted a family style meal with lots of options- meats, fish, sides, ample selection for everyone that might have either dietary restrictions or preferences. From our very first tasting, we knew that Kelso's would deliver. Everything was delicious- we selected steak and salmon, potatoes, Brussel sprouts, salad, and roasted vegetables, and we couldn't have been happier. Our cocktail hour included their delicious homemade hummus, veggies, and charcuterie, and although we didn't get to enjoy much of it because of our photos, all of our guests said that it was amazing. Although I can't speak to their communication efforts or organization as that part was handled by my wedding planner, the quality of the food was truly excellent and at a great price point. read more

Kelso's provided 3 days of breakfast and dinner to us for a vacation rental in the Virgin area. Everything was delicious, and the instructions for heating/re-heating were clear. They do some very creative and original cooking, and are very flexible in working out the menu. This is our second time with them. Had some hiccups with email communication but Dewey was always very responsive to phone calls. I'm sure the next time we're back for a little vacation in Zion we'll want to get meals from Kelso's again. read more

I left the 1 star rating, and would have deleted if I could figure out how, but they came around and saved the day. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced. Their business practices leave something to be desired, as they did not communicate with me in a timely manner, do not have a professional signature on emails, and sent the wrong contract 3 times, but nevertheless the food, the final product, was very good. read more

We recently used Kelso's for our wedding in Zion and it was top notch! Not only did they tweak the menu for me to accommodate my diet (while giving everyone else filet and scallops), they had it ready for us when we arrived back from our hike. Our elopement photographers who join in on many wedding dinners said it was the best private chef meal they ever ate. Not only was the dinner fabulous, the dessert was heaven. (Seriously wish I could order the chocolate mousse whenever I felt like it!) Their personalities were stellar, very helpful overall in planning, and they cooked/served/cleaned too! The best part is they are a local family that you help support when you use them. The prices were affordable and I would use them again for any occasion in the future. Don't hesitate. Hired Kelso's as a personal chef to make and serve dinner for my company's team event. The food was amazingly prepared and tasted absolutely delicious. The resort we stayed at asked if I would recommend their service as they are always looking for services to recommend to their guests and I told them that I would definitely recommend them. Their crew was very efficient and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. The only comment that my team stated they might want to approve on is their drink service. The drinks tasted good, just the serving sizes were too little and caused a lot of alcohol to be leftover. I didn't dock a star for this because I suspect it is not apart of their usual offerings and the fact that they were willing to accommodate my special request, showed good customer service. read more

We hired Kelso's to cater our family Thanksgiving dinner. The communication before hand was great and the menu options were perfect! They were even willing to work with our non-traditional request of having prime rib for Thanksgiving, coupled with options for several vegetarians. The menu included a great cut of prime rib, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, dressing, salad, baked mac & cheese, appetizers and dessert (apple cherry pie was out of this world). Everything was absolutely perfect! They brought everything needed with them, were efficient and on time with set up and clean up and the food was delicious.
