Couple of lovebirds (doves) a courting by the pool!
Joyce T.

A busy resort with an outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs. Super friendly front-desk workers that greet me good-bye and welcome-back. Casino has super friendly bartenders and pretty large comped drinks and beers. Lots of cinnamon jacket security guards patrolling all of the grounds, love it. I feel extra relaxed here because although it was busy enough, it didn't feel like I had to watch my machine or chair. The patrons were golfers, locals or some tourists, like me. Their diner has a wide range of dishes with friendly host workers and efficient servers. Their kitchen was quite quick with the meals, too.

Beware using the betting kiosk at the sports book! I used the betting kiosk to place $260 worth of bets on the Masters. I touched the "Masters" tab, surveyed the odds and placed my bets. When I got home, I was surprised to see that all of my bets were for "First round leader." I tried calling but the person I spoke with refused to let me speak with anyone at the sports book. Took another trip through the gorge and went back to the kiosk. I was shocked to see that the default menu is for "first round leader" and if you want to change to a straight bet, it's a tiny tab in the upper left corner. Why is "first round leader" the default menu? The sympathetic employee stated he couldn't void my tickets if I got them from the kiosk. (Why???) He also said it happens often and even the employees mistakingly hit the wrong bets. He agreed that it was unusual. So, because we still wanted to bet on the Masters, I went to the ATM, pulled out another $300 and bet another $260. Ahhhh....NOW I see why they won't change the default menu! Ridiculous. We wanted to try Eureka because Virgin River and Casablanca quit giving points for sports bets. Eureka doesn't either but we thought we'd give them a try and hoped they would be our new "go to" casino. One and done.

Queen size beds in our room

Stayed at Eureka for one night during Mesquites balloon festival event. The hotel and casino are in two separate buildings. Just across from each other. Which I did like, so upon entering the lobby of the hotel. You aren't greeted with the stench of cigarette smoke. Eateries are in the casino area, but we did notice that they had some Cinnabon desserts you could purchase at the lobby of the hotel. The room we had was spacious with two queen size beds. Room was clean. They had a coffee machine and a mini fridge. Which is convenient if you want to store your food and beverages. I love how they have a small courtyard with some lounge chairs and ping pong tables. Their pool was heated when we stayed there. Which was nice especially if you have little kids with you.

So this was our last stop on my wife's first vacation alone, 2 days in NM (Hilton), 3 days Las Vegas (Luxor) and 1 day here to break up the drive home. And honestly this was the best stay of it all!! Nice big King size bed, coffee in the room, pool was open until 11 with 2 hot tubs and a court yard, the Casino was across the parking lot but they had available a oversize golf cart that they would take and pick you up to the casino if you wanted. And truth be told everything about it was so calm and relaxing staff was friendly and accommodating to our requests and even told us the best place to get a steak of the 3 restaurants in the casino. It's only 1 hour from Vegas and we both decided that if we're to go back to Vegas that we would stay here and just drive into Vegas that's how much we enjoyed it Definitely recommend this establishment even though there are other choices within the area and we have been to 2 of them this in our opinion is the only choice!!

These machines a soooooooo much fun! But I wouldn't be playing the dollar ones. Well maybe a little but they can put the hurt on you!

This time it was doing away with the original sportsbook, and relocating it against a nondescript wall deeper in the casino. Not a good look for us bettors. I was told that Station casinos has taken over this aspect of of our gambling vice. In so doing, I'm thinking Casablanca has given it the Ol' heave ho. The sportsbook has been transformed into a comicbook. Good ridden to the bank of TV's. Out you go ample seating. So long talley board giving the spreads. Usher in the new and unimproved thimble experience. A few roundtop tables, and I wonder what the line on the game is? In the place of the old sportsbook location, installed are yet more uninspiring slots. Yes slots are the bread and butter of a casino. But bread gets stale and butter will turn rancid before long. Before you know it, the Casablanca will lean toward its one time neighbor The Oasis. That remnant is a blight on the landscape of Mesquite. However that infection could spread west if ownership doesn't quit tinkering with what made this casino resort a success. The renovated rooms are nice, and getting rid of the buffet was probably the right decision. What's lacking is the once old school ambiance. Adding new this and new that may not have the desired effect. What may happen is that we'll decide to stay home and gamble on our phones. Or better yet, gamble on our phones while in a national park or sitting on a beach in Hawaii. With diminishing returns hovering, it may not be prudent to gamble on repeat business. Quick Tip: If you want a quiet place to hang, visit the business center next to the elevators. In all the years that I've been visiting, I've yet to see anyone (other than myself) in there. You could literally have a party and not have to worry about being disturbed. It's also five times bigger that the new sportsbook!

Hotwire led me here as I like surprise:XD Upon walking in the lobby, my first impression was...is this the retirement home!? the interior has that old fashioned style, wide hallway with tiles instead carpet on the first floor, a library...etc I got suite #210, which is exactly like a one bedroom apartment with full sized kitchen, dining table, living room, bed room, walking in closet and a full sized bath. It's spacious! I assume this property was designed for assistant living and later changed to a hotel. It's freaking hot in Mesquite, NV even after the sun goes down. The air was still hot like inside the oven. The ac worked really well and of course this place is very quiet. The next morning, after checking out, I was on the way heading home. While pulling onto the 15 freeway I all the sudden remembered I left my charging cable in the room! Drove back from the next freeway exit, I told the front desk lady and she immediately made me a key to go up to the room to retrieve my cable. When I got there, the housekeeper was already outside and handed me my cable. If you are not looking for anything fancy, modern and elaborate, this is a good place! For clean, classic and awesome rate, I can see myself coming back for another good night sleep:) P.s there's no charging port on the bedside table, I had to unplug the alarm clock and that's how I forgot my cable :XD

It took me a minute or so before I even realized I was talking to an AI - this was the most interactive AI I've encountered to date. Check in desk staff was super friendly and helpful. We have 2 small dogs so they put us in pet friendly room that was clean with vinyl flooring so any accidents would be easy to clean up. (Not that this is an issue with our dogs but I always question hotels that have carpet in a pet friendly room - like what were you thinking?) Bed was comfy. Water pressure was fine. There was a big dirt lot right next to the rooms where dogs could potty. If I was forced to find a single gripe about this place it would be about the other guests - not the hotel. Rude dudes with big dogs who think leash rules don't apply to them. (Parade your over-compensation around on a leash next time, eh buddy?) I plan on making this place a regular stop in the future. Highly recommend.

When the front desk associate gave us our amenities rundown, she mentioned the jacuzzi was out of service. Bummer. No big deal though. I had to ask about the splash pad myself which she said was ALSO not working. Not sure why she failed to mention that. Our first impression of the room was vomit. The room permeated of sitting stomach acid l, the cleaning crew didn't handle the previous stayers issues apparently. Yuck. But we persisted to stay positive and make our way to the pool. Our first sight at the pool was an overcrowded mess, way over the max occupancy with murky dirty pool water, and a half filled pungent dirty jacuzzi. Apparently they didn't want to block off the potential health hazard of hazardous, dirty standing water in the Jaccuzi? Not to mention a huge falling hazard. But it gets better. Now we get hit with a nice bloom of a smoke cloud since adjacent guests were smoking BLUNTS poolside next to kids. No staff intervention. We proceeded to turn around and leave the hotel entirely. I cannot believe how terribly ran this establishment is being a Hilton owned hotel. If you think this will have that Hilton touch, you will be unpleasantly surprised. I came across Grand Destination Vacation Club at the San Mateo County Fair in May 2025. They were advertising a "free" 4-day, 3-night trip to Hawaii, including flights, hotel, and a luau. It sounded like a great deal at the time, so I signed up and even paid a $100 deposit. Fast forward over a year later I still haven't received the voucher. On top of that, the terms are incredibly restrictive. They require you to travel Monday to Monday, which means I'd have to pay out of pocket for extra days just to make the trip worthwhile, if I ever even get the voucher. The whole experience felt misleading from the start. They require you to sit through a long timeshare-style sales presentation over Teams, followed by breakout rooms where multiple representatives pressure you into buying their membership. When I said no, they became visibly annoyed and kept sending different people to try to convince me. Their packages go up to $30,000, and honestly, I can easily book my own flights and hotels for far less without worrying about hidden fees or restrictions. What's most concerning is the lack of transparency. There's no clear website, email, or phone number unless you're already a member, which feels like a huge red flag. Overall, this felt like a bait-and-switch situation. I would strongly recommend staying away.
