Saw this place on a map while visiting the Laurel Highlands for a family reunion. Yes, it's a house. Well, technically, it's a shed behind a house. But it's also great beer at an unbeatable price, especially coming from Philly. Well worth stopping in!

We traveled a long ways to get to this brewery because it was in our Laurel Highlands Passport. Once we pulled up to the house and it was a house we were like are we in the right place? I saw a sign that pointed to a garage for the brewery. So we walked in and once you get through the door you feel you are in a brewery. It's funny when we were sitting drinking our beer some more people came in and slowly opened the door. They weren't too sure if they were in the right place either or creeping in somebodies garage. Other than that this is a great brewery. Small and limited time hours but we had a good time here. The people were really nice and gave us great service. The beer is very good too. I was impressed. The atmosphere is good too inside. It's not too big but it's not tiny like some other small brewers. I was quite envious. I do wish we lived a little closer to here. A lot of people came in while we were here and stopped in to have a drink or bring some beer home. Good for them. This is a brewery worth going out of the way for.

Came in with my husband for a mid afternoon tasting. (Only 20 minutes off the Somerset exit) We sat in the new tasting room. We had a flight, and two pints. We love the beer especially the buckwheat blossom, sugar camp saison, and Pious IPA. We left with a growler and a case. We can't wait to return. They also had a food truck while we were there which was also awesome. Everyone was very friendly. What a hidden gem!

How cool is it to have a brewery in Berlin? Loved the folks behind the bar and met such interesting customers, most of whom were staying in Myersdale after biking on the Great Allegheny Passage. The actual beers were hit and miss, but I give this place an "A" for effort and found the pale ale to be a solid choice!

The beer is tasty and if you're lucky enough to be around when the Octoberfest beer is released , get it because it sells quickly

I had no idea this brewery was here until a recent trip to Rocky Gap Resort. No matter where I travel I always find every brewery through Yelp and try to hit up as many as possible. Thank you my fellow Yelpers :) This place is really off the beaten path and those are my favorite kind of breweries. It's located on an old farm and its whole vibe screams, "Come on in and enjoy yourself!" I love the space the people who own this have created. The outside area is open, airy, and peaceful. The lower building with the restrooms is a great space too. I love how they serve the beers out of the lower part of the upper building. Super cool setup. We ordered: Girlfriend: Lemon Blueberry Sour Ale (5/5) Me: Blood Orange Horizon (5/5) We also ordered some food from Jackies Groovy Cheese truck while enjoying our beers. I'm going to have to make you a Yelp page because I wanted to give you praise and you weren't on here yet. - Fried Pickle Slices (6/5) - Jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese (6/5) They were both super tasty. By far the best fried pickle slices we have ever had and those jalapeño poppers were super crunchy, cooked to perfection, and loaded with cheese. Yum! Fried foods paired with beer is my weakness. We didn't get a chance to explore the inside of the upper building but that gives us something to look forward to the next time we are in the area but to also check out everything else great they have to offer including their other delicious beers and whatever food truck is there on our next visit. We will be back again soon but until then, Happy Drinking! Sláinte:)

During our visit along the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour, we were greeted by an atmosphere that was simply extraordinary. As dusk settled outside, we stepped into a cozy space adorned with a small bar area. The menu, displayed both on a board and on paper, showcased their impressive selection of drafts. Opting for a flight, I found myself particularly drawn to their stout--an unexpected but delightful turn of events as I've recently developed a fondness for them. Adding to the ambiance, a small musical act entertained patrons in another area, while the presence of food trucks hinted at the culinary delights on offer. The beer itself was exceptional, complemented by impeccable service. Eager to take home a memento of our visit, I inquired about purchasing a t-shirt. The staff kindly provided access to the upstairs store room where I secured the last 3XL shirt available, along with some stickers for both the pour tour and my laptop. Overall, it was a fantastic stop characterized by friendly service, outstanding beer, and an atmosphere that left a lasting impression. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I'm not sure if the beer menu changes frequently however, the Lancaster DBL chocolate was very good if you are one that's likes dark stouts. It was ok service...we waited for about 5 minutes to check out and I walked in to the bigger room and the only employee was talking with a man and woman...just seeing me alerted the employee that she had a bar open and wasn't able to be chit chatting. Then for the third time couldn't remember our names that she had already put in the register. I'm 100% not blaming this younger lady that was working. I blame the owner/management for not having another person working that day.

We came in to get drinks to go with our food (we got food from the food truck outside "Firebox"). The food from Firebox was good and it was a generous portion for the price. The drink options that were not beer were limited, and half of those options on the menu weren't available. My partner got the berry chocolate stout and said it was "pretty good". We hoped to sit outside, but the only available table had broken glass all over it from a busted door. It does have convenient parking and I liked the industrial decor. The service was good and the lady was very nice. One thing I will point out is that one of our glasses had pink lipstick on it from a previous customer. But if you only want beer and a place to chill - it might be just right for you.

I also appreciate the ample outdoor seating available. Always a big plus for me, even if the outdoor area is really just tables set up on the sidewalk overlooking the parking lot - as it is in this case. The service was fine. It wasn't crazy busy there but the bartender had a little edge to her like we were more on an annoyance than a patron. They have a refill club where you can buy a mug and get your name printed on it with discounted refills. Again I appreciate that kind of thing, but the bartender seemed way more interested in some of the regulars than us. Just the vibe she gave off that night I guess. And lastly the beer...it's solid. Not great, but solid. Lots of darker beers which is fine for me personally, but the darks outnumbered the IPAs, pilsners, etc the night we were there. I'd expect a little more variety. Still, it's good enough that I'd go back next time I'm in Cumberland, but not so good that I'd make a special trip out of my way. My scale: 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive up to 30 minutes just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here

Have been here a couple times before, and visited the Pittsburgh location, so understood the quality of the beer - good selection and most beers are medium/high ranked. Price is pretty fair, given the location. My only concern about the visit was that there was a small outdoor tent/booth selling the same beer for an additional $4 per cup, which is extreme for the area and kind of confusing. You can walk to the interior behind the stage and get the same (as well as more variety) beer for $4-5 less? Unsure whether the lady charged me more than intended but it seemed like a gouge. Be aware of that....it was kind of a bummer.

When me and my girlfriend take road trips or mini vacations we try to hit up every brewery in that area and/or surrounding areas. On a recent birthday trip to Rocky Gap Resort that my sweet and beautiful girlfriend arranged for us we stopped in here during the early evening last week. As we pulled up I liked the whole aesthetics of this place. So we walked in and the place was pretty busy for an early Sunday evening but I believe it was because of the musicians that were scheduled to play. I noticed a lot of cool metal art which I later found out the owner created. That's awesome! We immediately walked up to the bar and ordered a couple of beers. - Shanty Irish Red Ale for my gf 4/5 - Iron Bird Hazy IPA for me 5/5 As we were enjoying our beers the people next to us received a food order and I looked at my girlfriend and said that pizza looks good. She replied, You want me to get us one? I giggled because she is a foodie like me lol. So we looked over the menu and decided on a 10" cheese pizza with mushrooms & jalapeños and a small order of chicken bites with honey mustard. So after about 10 minutes our buzzer went off and my gf walked up to get our food. We really enjoyed every bit of the pizza and chicken bites. Thank you! - Pizza 4/5 - Chicken Bites 4/5 While we were eating our food there were two people who started playing music and this is why this place gets 4 not 5 stars. Not because the musicians weren't good but because a place this size should never have people playing music so loud that you can't even have a normal conversation without saying huh or yelling. One of the two owners came over and asked if I'd like another beer and I could barely hear her and then the other owner came over and introduced himself to us and talked to us for about 5 minutes or so about the brewery, business, art, etc. and we could barely hear him and some things he said we couldn't make out, which sucks because I would have loved to chat with him without a loud distraction. Seemed like a very interesting and knowledgeable man. Next time my guy. Listen, I'm a huge brewery person and this brewery has great vibes and everything you could want to enjoy while visiting one but having musicians with amps blasting inside no longer makes it what makes breweries great and then turns into a bar. The whole reason of going to a brewery is to enjoy good beer, good food, and good conversation and that's impossible with music blasting. You can either be a bar or a brewery but you can't be both. Light music or acoustic would be much better in my opinion and my opinion should matter because I've been to hundreds of breweries across the United States. Either way the beer was good and the food was too. We will be back soon. Thanks for creating a nice and welcoming space. Sláinte

I've been here a few times before. My wife and I fell in love with this place the first time we were here. The owner is personable, friendly and enjoys his work. You can tell by the way he carries himself. And his wife is right next to him. With her own smile. All that said, the real reason for coming is the beer. This place has much to offer. On the menu are a Belgian white, a seasonal lager, Kolach, Hefeweizen, Irish red, stouts, IPAs, and a porter. I ask you to find that much of a choice in any other brewery and walk out angry. It cannot be done. For today I had tastes of the pumpkin, harvest ale and lager, before settling on the lager. TBH we came for the Hefeweizen but they just ran out.
