Third trip. This place has a vibe. It's super fun and well worth the trip off the highway or from Pittsburgh or Morgantown or the DMV it's a fun day trip near coopers rock and other attractions. We have had a few things but pepperoni rolls, elk and pulled pork really stand out. Best pulled pork I've ever had. Awesome flavor, lean and moist. Mack and cheese get a thumbs up too. Haven't had a bad meal yet. Beers are all very good with something for everyone. Some are a little different and are amazingly good. Service is Mexican resort level! Can't recommend more highly.

I loved this brewery/ restaurant. My family comes here often, but this was my first time. They always rave about it, so I was very excited to try it out. We dined here on a Saturday afternoon between lunch and dinner time. We had 5 people and were sat right when we walked in. The girls and guys who work here are EXTREMELY kind and welcoming. One of the chefs, may have been the owner, was even walking around to the tables to be sure everyone was enjoying their food. The decor around the restaurant fits the vibes perfectly. There are also chickens, turkeys, guinea hens, and peacocks on the property. Once you sit down, you scan a QR code to order your food and drinks. It was very simple and the website was easy to navigate. The employees make sure that you are not confused with the website and how to order. They offered their assistance multiple times. Once I sent the order in, the food and drinks came out very quick. We ordered a couple appetizers, a pizza, and wings. Each of our items were very good. My mother loves the Chubby Dip. I really enjoyed the soft pretzel sticks. They are made with their spent grain bread which makes them unlike any other restaurant I have been to. The wings were good too, I just wish they were a little more crispy. I did add a note on our order to cook them until they are extra crispy, but I am not sure if the chefs saw it. Either way, I enjoyed them! As for the beer, I loved all of the ones I tried. I always have a great time trying new beer, especially when it is brewed locally. My favorite part was being able to order a "half" beer. This way, I was able to try more than one! I can not wait to come back!

Our first visit to Screech Owl but will be back . A cool unexpected jewel not far off Interstate 68 that was a great experience . First time there and was greeted at the door like an old friend . Staff was attentive and very accommodating. Had heard from others this place was good and it didn't disappoint. Special that week was the Big Kahuna you could get either on a sandwich or pizza . We tried it on pizza and was very good . Also ordered the pulled pork nachos and I ordered the Yellowstone which was one of the best tasting steak sandwiches I have had . Didn't get to try the draft beers but hope to on another visit . Decor and seating gives one the feel of a home town, friendly hangout that you want to come back to next week. Well done ...

I can't say enough about the hospitality, setting and the food at Screech Owl Brewing. You have to check it out. Fried Balogna Sandwich, Buffalo Wings, Steak & Cheese Sandwich with smoked Gouda. Delicious.

Cute place! There was no wait for a table for 2 on Sat night. We were seated outside. Kinda interesting, you order on your phone by scanning a qr code at your table. Servers are around if you'd rather order traditionally. You also pay over the website on your phone. Food was very good. Loved the pizza! Was looking forward to having the pepperoni rolls but they were out of stock. Peacocks and chickens roam around you when you eat; which we loved and thought was so unique!

Okay, so it might be in the middle of nowhere but this place is WORTH IT! The customer service is out of this world. The best staff in WV. The owners are so involved and make you feel like you're enjoying your beer at home. The food is top notch and their seasonal beer right now tastes like your mom's pumpkin pie. Why haven't you been here already?!? Love, the Hawaiian girls

Loved it! We were greet me immediately when we walked in. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Brews were great! We had the Bold Blonde and a Muddy Creek - both were great! The pulled pork nachos were absolutely delicious! The burgers were perfect. It was a busy afternoon but it didn't feel crowded. Loved that the chef walked around checking in on everyone. We will definitely return.

This is an excellent brewery located in Bruceton Mills, WV! It is kind of hidden and a little ways of the exit but is definitely a stop that needs to be made. I originally came to the brewery when they only had a small tasting area and chairs to sit on the porch with, they offered popcorn and homemade pepperoni rolls. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, excited to talk about their products and how the beer is made if you asked. I came back almost a year later for a third time to see the new expansion and spent grain cafe. They are still brewing excellent beer and still making my favorite pepperoni rolls in WV. The bread is made from the spent grain during the beer making process and is a must try!

It looked like my friends were driving me into the middle of Nowhere- ( which they were !!) It turns out that our trek off the grid was totally worth it!!!! The beer alone was worth the drive ( beer flights are a good place to start ) the Blonde Ale was my fav. It's a family run place. Roger and his son Jameson work hard to make sure everyone is made to welcome. Jameson smokes the meats and his wife is the only licensed female brewmaster in WV. This lady knows her stuff - great brews !! Our favorites- pulled pork sandwich with a double order of scalloped potatoes - Don't miss the scalloped potatoes!!! Get there early - the place is popular- it might take awhile to get your order- but as long as the beer keeps coming- I'm Ok with that. Don't float cinnamon roll - it's not on the menu - it's amazing. Thanks MK for setting is up with the rolls !!

Good beer and food was good too. Went on a Friday and the place was packed with people waiting. Sign of a successful establishment.

I still love the decor and the photos around the place. Ramps and eggs were amazing. I guess it's ramp season (very strong onion) and i couldn't pass it up. When you walk in, there is a dining area to the right and a coffee shop with pastries to the left. Though we had to wait a bit for a table, we enjoyed looking at the yummy treats in the case as everything looked fabulous. Sunday is brunch so both breakfast and lunch menus were available. My daughter got a burger and Caesar salad, my husband got an omelette, and I got some onion rings and free rein to eat off their plates. Everything was delicious but the onion rings were a standout! It reminded me of a blooming onion in the best way! The strawberry jelly for the toast was also among the best I've ever had, and clearly made in house as it tasted so fresh. Our server was very pleasant but things moved a little slowly and we had to ask multiple times for our side of dressing. I was also shocked to see that a cup of coffee was $5! Overall though, this place was a delight and I wish I would have saved room for dessert.

The third style of business, that I can recall, in the last 20+ years, and just like the others,…read morethis will likely go away in time. Typical of Brewpubs, beer and mediocre meals. First, the beer. I have had much better, though the double bock and the Doc Brown Ale were the best with the double bock being a little too sweet. At 7 bucks a pint, it is the average price. This place won't attract me for beer alone. The menu is rather simple in terms of selections which should offer an opportunity to excel with food, thus keeping people returning. I found what I tried to be rather bland and typical of brewpubs. Smashburger. Bland, though I suspect the tomato jam and roasted garlic mayo were supposed to give the flavor depth. I wish I could have tasted these separately to fully analyze. At 16.26, I can find better. I tried the blue cheese salad dressing and was disappointed. It was like eating sour cream with a hint of blue cheese. This is so easy to make and taste good. The hand beer battered cod was also bland. Just not impressed. The fresh cut fries are typical of fresh fries. Not great. If you're willing to put time in it, you can make great fries. Overall, the menu selections could be better. I would think a nice steak salad or something like that may do well. The steak pinsa is the closest, I guess, but would be better with a salad. The service was mediocre even though our server was friendly. When you emphasize beer, tis best to visit often to see if the customer would like another. Don't wait until the meal is nearly finished. Will I be back? I want to try a few other dishes to get a more complete idea of this place, but I can see this place fading away like the others that come and go.

Really was looking forward to coming here with seeing several people post online about it…read more We went up on a Saturday evening without reservations which I'm not sure they take. To my luck and delight, there was live music blaring upon entry. We were sat near the bathrooms and kitchen and put in our drink order. I want to mention they were kind of busy but not swamped, and it took a lot of time in between seating to greeting to drink delivery to ordering to food to dessert to check. In fact, I didn't see much of our waitress out and about at all - blonde with a lot of energy. She was nice but very spotty in checking on us. We ordered the pretzels and cheese for an appetizer to start. They were ok. For my meal I got the pit beef sandwich which came with a horseradish sauce. The time between the ordering to appetizer to meal was LONG. The manager or owner who brought out the meals realized I was getting pissed and tried to smooth things over. Problem was the sandwich was very dry. Pit beef should have some juiciness to it, but honestly it was really dry. The horseradish sauce was nice but had evaporated into the bun - probably from sitting back in the window for 15 minutes without coming out. The best part of the meal was the dessert which was a French dish I can't remember but is pictured. Cold dessert covered in icing and layered inside. It was very good and light Overall it was ok. I'd like to try again but man the waiting for food when it's not very busy thing is a big pet peeve of mine.
