Well guess what, it did, More Eatery did not disappoint, it was excellent! It's a store, take-away and eat in all in one. Given the amount of people picking up food there is no secret locally that the food is good. Our service was good, with two ladies taking care of whatever was needed. The menu items are quite eclectic, but with the ingredients all printed on the menu you know exactly what you are getting which I appreciate. I chose the Italiano Benny which had pork belly on focaccia topped with poached eggs, arugula, tomato, a pesto hollandaise and mashed taters. It was delicious, flavourful and very filling. The lovely K had the Breaky Wrap which had bacon, scrambled eggs, arugula, green and pickled onions, cotija cheese, a cilantro crema and tater tots along with mashed taters. It was also outstanding and filling. It's bright and airy inside with items for sale that are cool and different, and the aforementioned take-away keeps the traffic moving. Overall with last nights top quality meal, and this one the following morning, the food scene here is Campbell River is alive and vibrant. Can't wait to return.

Ultimately one must judge based on the food. I ordered the $37 sablefish entree. The fish itself was really good - very tender, really delicate soft sablefish. The miso sauce was a bit too much perhaps. However, the daikon which is a big part of the dish, was almost raw, way undercooked and it really ruined the dish. Fully cooked daikon should be almost transparent, and really soft. It's too bad, but for $37 it's fair to expect a fully cooked meal with no parts underdone.

We were extremely disappointed with the service we received from our waitress this evening. At a…read morerestaurant of this caliber, where the dining experience comes at a premium, we expected service to match. Unfortunately, it fell far short of what one would reasonably expect from a fine dining establishment. My husband and I had a very disappointing experience here this evening, especially considering the price point. We spent $200 on a mussel appetizer, halibut, and lobster, expecting a fine dining experience--but the service fell far below that standard. As people in recovery sober for over three and a half years, we specifically ordered virgin drinks, yet were served mussels prepared in a wine-based sauce recommended by the server. I also received the wrong drink twice. Most frustrating of all, we waited over an hour for our entrées while a nearby table of six was seated, served, and finished their meal before ours even arrived. When we tried to understand what maybe taking place behind the scenes and asked if they were short staffed with the chefs in the kitchen. We were met with rudeness and told our seafood needed its own ovens to cook in. For being the only ones in the restaurant filled with a horrible ambience I can see why others have said the same. It's always best to check the reviews. They may just favor locals. We were truly looking forward to this meal, but left feeling disappointed and overlooked. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant and would advise others to dine elsewhere.

Yelp maps said it was more than 2 kilometres away, so not sure what happened there. Moxies did not disappoint, and our server Shaye was absolutely excellent. Outgoing, friendly and very good at what she did. Even took the time to make sure K's veggies were cooked on the more well done side that she prefers. Kudos to the kitchen also, for making it happen, small details matter. Her steak was cooked perfectly, and the mashed potatoes very nice. My Beet salad was very well made although I prefer my beets to be a little more al dente. The blackened chicken was good, if perhaps a little over. I believe they use a seasoned breast, which is not my favourite. Our beverages were nicely made, that said wine is difficult to mess up, but a good martini is not easy. The decor is typical Moxies, they are all pretty much the same. That said familiarity is often comforting, and we certainly felt that way. We will be back for sure.

We were 22 strong, so taking care of us on short notice looked like it could be an issue. Not for Fifty Parallel! The staff took exceptional care of all of us. They were very friendly, accommodating and just right. The place was hopping the entire time we were there, so the locals must enjoy the place as well. The menu is quite wide ranging, from Greek fare, to Italian, pizza, seafood, you name it. Usually when there are this many choices they are decent at the range, but not outstanding at anything. Not the case here, everyone raved about the food and the beverages as well. Our beer drinking crowd loved the selection of mainly BC product.
