We are always eager to try Thai restaurants when we are away from home. Mango Tree is a winner. Our dishes were served hot and full of that distinctive Thai flavor. Our dishes of Rack of Lamb and the Wok Seafood Assortment were excellent. The restaurant was very busy on a weeknight, but, this place is managed well with plenty of staff on the floor to keep things moving. Our dinners here were very good and we were very glad to have followed the advise of the hotel staff which worked out very well for us.

We came per my nephew's recommendation and it didn't disappoint. The food brought so much comfort and satisfaction in all senses. I especially love the precise mix of sweet, tangy, salty and spicy in one bite! So good so yummy.

I got the veggie gyoza soup (£8.69) -- premade but not long prior, so it was fresh and hot. The soup came with several gyoza, udon noodles, greens, peas, carrot, eda mame, and sunflower seeds. The broth was miso-based and decently flavourful, amped up nicely by the gochujang that's sitting on the table. If you're looking for a quick, good value meal (from the airport), this is a good bet.

The place was very clean with lots of seating and added bonus: lots of USB ports and outlets! I appreciate that they keep their menu simple and they have lots of prepackaged options for their customers. I ordered the Chargrilled Chicken Udon which had an interesting lemony taste to it. It was the perfect little bite to have prior to catching my flight home to the US.

You sit at communal tables without backs (which isn't the most comfy), but the menu is extensive and healthy. We ordered teriyaki noodles and yakisoba noodles with shrimp, and both were good. They were very mildly spiced, though, and we both needed the seasoning spice that was on the table. I guess I was expecting more authentic and bold flavors, but this is very, very mild (perfect for fussy eaters and kids). PROS: * free hot green tea * scan a QR code to pay so no need to wait around for a slow server * plenty of healthy, vegetarian, and vegan food options * good cocktail menu for a pre-flight tipple * chopsticks, forks, and sauces on every table CONS: * service is mostly nonexistent; a server will take your order and deliver your food, but you won't see them again after that. * the kitchen is slow, so allow around 30 minutes to get your food (a real problem if you're in a rush to catch a flight) * uncomfortable picnic style, communal seating I would probably eat here again the next time I'm flying out of Heathrow, especially because there aren't many other sit down options in Terminal 3.

Found Zheng Chelsea within a short 5-10 min walking distance of our hotel via yelp It looked modern and upscale from pics online and a bit fusion in the style of Malaysian dishes, so we didn't expect too much, gauging from the majority of the customers being non-Asian (sorry but it's usually a pretty accurate measure when evaluating authenticity/flavors of dishes). BUT...we ended up loving every dish we ordered, and while we're far from being an expert in Southeast Asian/Malaysian cuisine, we found every dish to be tasty and perfectly cooked. The crispy beef had a nice light crisp batter but the beef inside was still tender and tasty...often times, this dish results in chewy/tough beef with way too much batter and is mushy instead of nicely crisped. Soya Sauce chicken was with all dark meat chicken (cut up thighs with bones) and we definitely always appreciate restaurants with dark meat chicken in their chicken dishes since we much much much prefer dark meat to white breast meat pieces! Even the Gai lan veggies with oyster sauce was tasty and the stems were not too thick/chewy and tough like many other times when we've had gai lan elsewhere...my fiancé isn't even a huge fan of gai lan but he loves this preparation of it at Zheng Chelsea Ohhh and definitely get the coconut rice, it's quite flavorful and complements most of the dishes on the menu quite well! The decor inside was spotless, nice comfy velvet chairs/booths and it was nice and quiet downstairs vs the much more lively (but also loud) upstairs part. And service was quite good and definitely way above average if compared to the usual Chinese restaurants

I've been here on a couple of occasions and it's true, for someone (like me) who is a fan of healthy eating, you do need to choose fairly carefully, if you want to avoid outrageously fat-laden cuisine. I like the fact, though, that you can also get a take-out container here for just £4; that really suited me one Sunday evening when I hadn't eaten and not much was open. I chose some delicious king prawns and noodles with mini-spring rolls, vegetable samosas and prawn crackers on the side. Brilliant value and sweet service but not advisable to be eaten every day!

I had their spicy ground beef larb with coconut rice and was impressed, it WAS spicy and hot. Most Thai places play down the spice factor but they sure don't here. Nonetheless the girl here was really friendly the food was perfectly fine and the prices are beyond reasonable. I love finding places off the tourist radar.

I LOVE Thai food and when I saw a 4.5* spot just round the corner called Thailand, it just had to be investigated! We arrived and straight away noticed the great offer of a 3 course meal and a glass of wine for just £12.95 served throughout the week. Impressive! We were feeling flush and decided to choose off the a la carte menu but I'd definitely return to give the offer a whirl. We chose to share the mixed starter, and the crispy duck and pancakes to start, and then chicken penang, prawn pad thai and sticky rice for mains. Service throughout was polite and well timed, our waitress was in fact the owners daughter and shared some stories about her father and the two restaurants they own. She was wonderful! Now to the food - the mixed starter was a bit of a disappointment, there was just way too much deep fried vegetables rather than the good quality products like chicken satay and prawn toast. We actually had to leave the majority which was a shame. Now to the duck... NOM. Perfectly cooked and crispy, plenty of pancakes to share, plum sauce think a flavoursome and when put together with cucumber and spring onion, just perfection! Now to the best part - their Thai food is authentic, packed with a punch and truly delicious! The pad Thai had lots of large and juicy king prawns, the Penang was in a thick and creamy sauce - the best I'd ever had! All I will say is we would have like a little more veg (in both dishes) but this didn't take away from flavours of food, really great quality food! We really did enjoy the evening and we'll definitely be back for another girlie night soon! Highly recommended if in the area and a lover of Thai!

However, I think it's my Yelp duty to share little gems and this place is one of those. I picked up a friend from Gatwick today but due to good traffic (and my own aversion to being late), I arrived at Gatwick really early. Living as we do in ripoff Britain, there are no cellphones parking lots like they have in the USA and to park in the short stay car park would cost an arm and a leg. However, on the ring road of Gatwick South terminal, you can find this little McDonald's restaurant and takeaway. You can park in this car park for an hour if you eat here and you can tell from the many cab drivers here that it's a good spot to wait for your flight to land. The easiest way to get here is to follow signs for South terminal, then cut through the Hilton hotel road and rejoin - McDonalds is just before the BP garage. There is a takeaway drive thru but I ate in. The McDonald's funky makeover has also reached this restaurant with a tables of various sizes, heights and colours available. My sausage and egg McMuffin meal filled a breakfast spot. There's also free wifi at this location, which is useful for seeing if your flight has landed. Share this tip but not with too many people! Shhhhh!

In the Malaysian tradition of discussing food, one of my Malaysian friends told me about Noodle House. Could it really be true? A restaurant/takeaway serving authentic Malaysian located but a mere 2 miles from my house. So it was with fevered excitement that I arrived at Noodle House. When I explained that I had heard that they served Malaysian food, they produced a special menu with Malaysian dishes. They also have a conventional Chinese menu. As I scanned the menu, a broad smile came over my face and yes, my heart skipped a beat. The street food favourites were all there, ranging from rojak (mixed fruit salad with thick spicy peanut/prawn paste) to Indian mee rebus to home made soya bean milk. In the name of Yelp research, I'm eating my way through their menu. A couple of average dishes but in general, this is the real thing.
