Fantastic room

We were greeted by a champagne toast by Janet a wonderful host, followed by wine and and cheese. Beautiful room and grounds. Fantastic breakfast, so pampered. Downtown walking distance. Lovely stay.

We loved our stay. Greeted with kindness and we're given a nice tour, with great restaurant recommendations for Main Street. The inn itself is super cute and well decorated. Lots of cold air conditioning, which was so nice. Amazing amenities too. The pool and hot tub were down while we were here, sadly. There is an open dining area that is available for us 24/7 to grab wine glasses, ice, ice buckets and to use their communal fridges. Free wifi. Breakfast tapas is what they were known for, which is served from 8-10 every morning. There is also a free wine hour with snacks every day at 5, where they have out some whites and reds available to sip on. If you let them know that you have any allergies, they'll make sure you're taken care of at meal times. We came right on time for the first day of breakfast, and the inn keeper came up to me to present me with a gluten free toast that they hadn't put out yet. On our second day, there was a "gf" marked on one of the toasts. Just for me!!!!

Great location and beautiful property. Service was great at times and lacking at others. When we arrived someone was leaving and they made sure we had the front door code, which was very nice of them as it was not texted to us. The room number and code were sent digitally which was nice. Breakfast was fine, but not as nice as what I have typically had at a bed and breakfast. There were a few things broken in the room. The shower door strip kept coming off, the smoke detector had been removed and not replaced, and there was a bad sulfur like smell whenever the heat kicked on so we had to keep the room a bit colder than we would have liked. I believe they are getting ready to do a renovation, so some of these things may be fixed in the future.

Actual front of hotel

Please be aware that the photos you are seeing online are not at all what the property currenlty looks like - these are merely architectural renditions. I totally understand renovations - BUT tell guests BEFORE they arrive that these are taking place. We checked in on Wednesday, April 17th being told that we were the very first guests to stay with them. The funny thing is on Expedia they are reviews going back to Jan / Feb 2024 and they were under a full remodel. So how were people staying there having a 5 star experience? We booked the property based on the photos. However, there is NO pool, no outside seating area, no beautiful fire pits. Just construction everywhere, beginning at 7 am and lasting all day. We were also told, "if you have any concerns or suggestions, please let us know". I have tried to reach management, and no one will call back - so clearly they are not wanting suggestions. Staff was very hard to find, there is no main desk nor do staff wear any tyoe of uniform making them identifiable. Often times, when we finally tracked down an employee it was if we were bothering them. The hotel lacked the very basic and cheapest of amenities - DRINKING WATER. It was like pulling teeth to get any water. After asking consistently, one morning there was a large water dispenser on the counter. We were all SO happy, before long it was drained dry and removed - not to be seen again. An even bigger concern is that our guest room had no ability to lock the door, leaving our room very vulnerable. There are not safes in the room either. We shared a porch with another guest room and we could walk into one another room at any given time since there were no locks. We asked management, and were told " oh yeh, we know - we have it on our list to repair - but don't worry all our guests here are nice?" Finally, if you have any type of disability, KNOW that this property is filled with stairs. Maybe there will be a ramp made upon completion of construction, but when we were there there was no ramp for anyone who cannot manage stairs to enter the property. The one room we saw on the ground floor could not accommodate a wheelchair or walker in the bathroom. You will be required to carry your luggage up several flights of stairs with no assistance from the staff. I met one older couple who had a room on the 2nd floor, they had left thier suitcase in their car, as they couldn't carry their luggage up the stairs and they were not able to find any staff to assist them. I am not sure how this property meets even the basic ADA requirements. I have been reaching out to management for over one week and no one will call me back. Will the property be beautiful and mirror the architectural goals at some point? Probably so, but in the meantime TELL YOUR GUESTS BEFORE THEY ARRIVE to ignore the photos and expect much less.

This is Hubby and I's first time being in Napa. He had told me how he wanted to go horseback riding for his birthday, so I planned a mini trip out to Napa. The first place where I had wanted to book to stay was actually at Napa River Inn, but when I went to go book the room, the price went up by $100! I was not happy about that, so I decided to continue looking around for a different place to stay for our visit. I came across White House Napa Valley Inn and thought it was the cutest place. Rooms looked cozy and I read other Yelp reviews that just made me say "this is the place we're going to be staying at." I booked the King Deluxe Balcony for our trip. Upon arriving, we parked the car in the lot (there wasn't a lot of cars there but plenty of parking). I arrived and seen one of the staff giving a tour to another guest, so I waited for my turn to check in. They told me that the room that I had booked ended up having a pipe burst so they had to change my room. I was a bit sad about the change, but the staff has been so kind and they also offered us a complimentary bottle of wine due to the change. We totally forgot to remind them about the complimentary bottle of wine that they were going to give us. After checking in they gave us a tour of the place. I love that their pool area is open 24/7, but during the hours of 10 PM-7 AM guests are not to be loud due to the neighbors next door. The guest space is also open 24/7 as well. Complimentary breakfast is form 8 AM to 10 AM and it's a grab and go type of breakfast that changes every morning. I really really enjoyed how they do their breakfast, it's very unique and I enjoyed it. From 5 PM to 6 PM, they have wine hour and I thought that this was a very great idea to do. It gives you a chance to get to know the other guests here and interact or just to enjoy some wine and cheese. All the guests that we've encountered during our stay was so sweet and it was great just seeing familiar faces. There is no refrigerator in the rooms, but they do have a fridge in the dining area for all guests to share, as well as water, tea and coffee on hand thorough the day/night. Hubby and I really enjoyed our time here and we are definitely going to be coming back here for our future stay. At first Hubby thought it looked creepy from the outside but the place grew on him and we truly loved being here. I'm so glad that my first pick in places to stay didn't work out, because we found ourselves a better one. Thank you White House Napa Valley Inn for an amazing stay!

This inn is actually not as good as i expected. the common area is nice where there are sofas and dining tables etc. This area also has a fridge and coffee machines. the breakfast thats served is nice. the room where i stayed was extremely small and claustrophobic. bathroom was nice although. i think i will never go based on my experience with the room. it was room 11. the poo, area was quite dirty with unclean pool floor, chairs etc. { see the pics }.

Just wow! The cutest little inn I've ever been to! I love how it is historical and it has retained all its beauty. It was very elegant and had beautiful rooms. I have no complaints. It is in a residential neighborhood as well so it feels very safe and home-like. I would most definitely stay again. I recommend exploring the backyard too, so beautiful and peaceful to enjoy time outdoors. It is walking distance from almost anything! I got all my steps in on this trip. They also have espresso machines and breakfast in the morning. (P.S.: don't miss the complementary wine hour!!!)

the WORST experience in Napa!!!I've been this hotel for three times on July and early September and other two were perfect. This time I booked a standard room with king bed. But I found it was different from the picture and I ask the front desk if the room can be changed. They refused. But I understand since it's during Covid-19. And next morning around 10:45, I'm having coffee at the lounge. One woman came and told me the checking out time is 11:00 with bad attitude. I checked out on time and want to have coffee in the swimming pool like the other two times I did, but that woman came again and asked me to leave right now. She said it's their Covid-19 policy which I didn't find on their Covid-19 brochure. I don't know the reason why she did that. Maybe because I was Asian or she was in bad mood. But that's my WORST experience in Napa!!!

This is the only picture I have of the room... I loved it so much.. I didn't take pictures

Have you ever been so happy, so in awe, so at peace.. you don't even pick up your phone to capture it?? We'll that's what happened, and that is super rare for me.. I was so happy, so rested, so in the moment, I didn't pick up my phone one time... I regret not snapping some shots of this place, but I'll do my best to recreate with words: It's pastor appreciation Sunday and our church tells us to pack your bags.. you're going somewhere! How exciting, a surprise getaway. The limo pulls into this beautiful driveway and the brilliant White House just takes my breathe away. We grab our bags out of the car and things seem a little quite or deserted. My husband walks in and is greeted by a nice lady with a southern accent (I forgot her name). Husband tells her our name and she gives us a tour of the house and then shows us to our room. We had the king balcony room. Both the house and the room far exceeded my expectations and a giant smile moved onto my face and did not leave until it was time to leave the property. The morning breakfast was super yummy with the freshest ingredients. I could tell they must have a connection with the baker, the cheese farmer, the fruit picker... because everything tasted farm to table. So good!!!! We enjoyed a couples massage at their pool house. It was okay.. but due to COVID everything and everyone is a little different and awkward now a-days so it's understandable. I barely seen other guest (they were there though), I felt like the house was all ours. The only bad part was when it was time to leave. I seriously contemplated, hiding on the balcony, hoping my husband would just forget me and just take our luggage. This place along with the staff is a true gem! I will return to this place as many times as I possibly can!! This was the best gift ever!!

Zero stars if possible. The worst hotel staff ever. They completely messed up our reservation and never followed up leaving us stranded.

It's a small venue but the ceremony and tent area are pretty decent and look great when decorated! I went through fairview for a good chunk of the items because we had the elite package, some things we did replace were were the bakery , we also decided to seek outside coordination services and we initially had their photo booth but replaced it with one we liked better. The whole planning process was not as stressful as I imagined it to be. It was nice having many vendors in house the only things we really needed to do was to make decisions on things like place settings, the food, chargers, chairs, placement of things etc. the one thing, I highly recommend you do seek outside from them is their DJ services, the DJ we got was a last minute replacement that was not very good. Our coordinator Justina, had to go over the set list with him because he had another couples names, bridal party and songs on his playlist. For the entrance of my bridal party, he played a short snippet of the song and ended right as they walked in and didn't even make it to the dance floor and started the next song. It was pretty short and people commented on how bad the dj was. They also said during the reception, he didn't do good transitions from one song to the next, he played the entire songs and was on his phone majority of the night. He also stressed out our boba vendor, Happy Lemon by prematurely announcing that they were ready to start boba drinks when they were still setting up and organizing things. That's our biggest complaint, other than that everything else was great at the venue. We enjoyed our wedding and everyone else had a good time. People also raves about the food saying it was pretty good except the braised short rib was a bit tough other than that everyone liked the food! If I had to do my wedding again, I'd definitely go with fairview again but still stick to the changes I made for some vendors! It's a nice place and the all inclusiveness makes wedding planning a breeze!za

The Lighthouse - Happy Couple send off!

The Lighthouse

(95 reviews)

"There is a light that shines special for you and me..." - The Light by Common…read more ~ THE AMBIANCE ~ Are we in the Bay or are we in Hawaii? Newport Beach? Is this even Vallejo? Karlo and I toured two other venues before visiting the Lighthouse well over a year ago and immediately fell in love with the lush greenery, the palm trees, and the view overlooking the water. The Lighthouse felt like a destination even though it's in the Bay Area. It truly is a hidden gem and we got a lot of questions from our guests as to how we found this place. As a kid, I would often go to Suisun for the weekends with my Lola (Grandma) to visit family. The Carquinez bridge was pretty much the halfway point to getting home or to my Aunt's place - Crossing the Bridge and seeing the C&H Sugar factory served as a marker and indicator for me that I was almost home or almost there. At the venue, there is a pathway that leads to a lookout point where you'll see both the bridge and the sugar factory, and it was then we knew that we were going to get married here. ~ THE VENUE ~ The venue has two lawn areas which naturally lend themselves to a ceremony or cocktail hour space. It's absolutely beautiful. We had our ceremony on the East Lawn (smaller lawn area to the left when facing the Lighthouse from the parking lot). It has a downward slope which made for an amphitheater like setting. We used the green palms as a backdrop for our ceremony and to be honest - it's beautiful as is even without decor. The bigger lawn area is where we had our Cocktail hour and it was the perfect setting and large enough to host 92 guests. We wanted an all in one space where we could have the ceremony and reception at one place, and the Lighthouse offered that. The indoor banquet hall fit our guest count and the windows all around gave a spectacular view to the marina and the sun set. The only downside is the four pillars that hold up the Lighthouse as it does block the view in certain angles especially when my husband and I had our first dance; however, guests got out of their seats to have a closer look. The kitchen also isn't a full kitchen so be aware of this. There's no stove to cook on or to keep food warm, and there is no ice machine. This one didn't really affect us as we had paella catered and everything was done outside on the paella pans and burners. The biggest selling point is the inn upstairs which accommodates up to 8 guests. Our brothers have younger children and we knew that this would be most convenient for them as the kids nap/are in need of a diaper change/need an area to pump. We had two guests who needed to pump and it was nice to be able to offer a comfortable place for them to do so in privacy without having to take up a bathroom stall in the hall. The inn is well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the decor is tasteful and we loved how history was incorporated in the small touches. It really made for beautiful getting ready photos and was such a pleasure to wake up to a view like that. ~ THE PEOPLE ~ As if the venue is not enough, the people behind the Lighthouse are truly the heart of it all. Crystal, Maggie and Alma like a what lighthouse does, guided us throughout the planning process, checked-in and made sure we were okay throughout the evening. They were so kind through it all and even made sure that my elderly parents were comfortable as mobility is an issue. We booked our vendors based on two things: kindness & connection, and we will never take for granted the hospitality they have offered us both leading up to our Wedding day and on the day-of. Thank you for everything! All in all, if you're looking for a one-of-a-kind, intimate venue, the Lighthouse is it. My husband and I are already looking forward to planning another event here in the near future!

I cannot stress enough how great of an experience the planning process and day of was for my husband and I. The beautiful location and event space created a magical backdrop for all of our guests. Many of whom commented on how they loved the location with unbeatable views. Throughout the planning process , we worked with Maggie and her attention to detail and bright personality made the process fun and exciting. Maggie was always reachable by email, text, and call. She and Alma were there the day of the wedding to make sure everything went as planned . Working with them was so easy and they truly made our day even more special. We had a Thursday wedding and the accommodations to the upstairs living space was a perfect photo op spot for the "getting ready" photos , but also allowed our small family to have an intimate dinner the night before to mentally prepare. We found such marvelous vendors on their preferred list. And could not have been happier with the services provided. All that being said, I highly recommend working with the lighthouse to create a highly personalized experience for you and your guests for your next upcoming occasion.
