Small selection, few sale items and awkward layout. Won't be back. My go-to store will continue to be the Rockville location.

I was in Frederick for work and it was the Saturday before mothers day. Being the fairly typical…read moremale I waited until the last minute. I saw there was a Francescas in the center across from the office I was working at that day. I knew my wife loved the company so I stopped there. Unfortunately they were not opened yet. As I was walking away the manager opened the door and asked if I wanted to come in. She stated she was done with her opening work and saw me looking in the window and then walking away. I thought perhaps she saw sucker written across my forehead and I would be given the sales pitch of all sales pitches. But that was not the case at all. Quite the opposite. The manager asked if I knew what I was looking for and I of course had no idea. I just mentioned that my wife loved Francescas and I had never been to one. I said "I guess a gift card isn't a good idea is it?" She laughed and gave me a few ideas. I found several things and asked her opinion. She was able to coordinate similar but different items and everything came together. She definitely has the knowledge of her product and has an eye for making "things" work together. I couldn't have figured it out. Besides being very helpful with the selection of items and opening up the store early she wrapped the items up in a gift bag for me. The gifts were a home run with the wife. I really thought I was going to be hounded the entire time I was there since I was the only one there and she opened early for me. That was just not the case. She left me to shop and helped me when asked. I honestly left there feeling that I would have received the same treatment whether I was the first and only customer or one of many. It is a rarity in the world of sales to find the right atmosphere where you don't feel pressure to buy and yet get treated as if you bought the entire store. Because of this, I will only shop at Francescas when I'm in the area. Which is often.

This was a cute store - a lot of nice things to give as gifts and get for yourself as well. First…read morething we saw were the lotions up front, actually they were shea butter for the body. They had different ones with names like Whoopie Cream, Sweet Tea or Pink Moon to name a few. There are testers available so you can take a whiff - some of them smell really, really good. They also have bath soaps that are locally made and shea butter soaps as well (lavender, jasmine and clementine to name a few) - with smells like those, everyone might want to get one. I found myself looking at a lot of items in the store as I wished I could have bought everything. In the back they had sleepwear with cute sayings - they looked like mini-bags, but once opened it is sleepwear. There is even a section selling items for toddlers or babies (can't remember). Employees were very helpful. Definitely want to come back to this spot.

Before I begin this review...I just want to say I AM *NOT* PREGNANT!…read more But like most women of any age, adorably cute baby crap makes us all mushy and coo. Molly's Meanderings is no different. The majority of the store has nice high end, moderately boho chic clothing...but in the back right hand corner, is a baby corner where my mother in law and I spend nearly an hour cooing over every little thing. Yeah. We're ridiculous. OK, so we weren't going to buy (although my MIL did give me some pointed remarks about procreation), but we were there for so long and cooed so loudly that I was rather surprised that no sales staff came by to check up on us. I mean, really, we sounded like a pack of gestating elephants. We were REALLY loud. And touched everything (and personally, I thought everything was priced a little higher then expected...and by "a little higher" I'm being generous). Anyhoo...the store is cute, packed with stuff, but it's clear that the staff is deaf and blind. Eh.

Everything is so well organized from type of clothing (athletic, dresses, sweaters, etc.) to size and even color. They also have some accessories like handbags (including brand names), jewelry, and IPhone cases. They have fitting rooms as well. Everything is so affordable and in good condition. The service is also great. I was asked if I needed help and they did explain the whole selling process to me as well. I noticed most of the reviews were on the selling portion of Plato's Closet. I have yet to try that, but I was told by an employee to keep an eye out on their Instagram page where they tell you what kind of clothing they are in need for.

They've texted me before, so there is absolutely no excuse for the complete lack of communication this time. I brought in a full bag of clean, valuable, well-kept clothing, left my number, and waited.... nothing. Not a single text, call, or update. After FOUR hours, I had to come back in myself just to find out what was going on. And the result? They handed me back the entire bag and offered me a pathetic $9. $9 for a whole bag of good clothing, and zero respect or consideration for basic accessibility. It feels dismissive and honestly disrespectful. If you value your time, your items, or just basic communication...especially if you're deaf please don't expect it here. It's way better to support goodwill and get a tax write off or just sell items on Facebook marketplace.
