Great customer service! Good deal! Friendly staff! A lot of place to park. Close to train station.

WHITE CASTLE I haven't stepped foot inside a White Castle since the days of hanging out after a high school party somewhere in Flatbush, Brooklyn. The good 'ol days where it was boys, or sometimes girls fist fighting and no one would get shot. I hung with my fly girl crew who were always protected. That's a story for another day. August 2021 on a early afternoon, I decided instead of driving through I'm going to place our family's order inside the restaurant. I'm glad that I did. Not sure if it was the time of day, but this place was super clean from a patrons perspective. I scoped organized team members helping each other out with food app orders, for those picking up. Not sure if delivery was offered prior to the pandemic, but of course WC offers it now due to Mr. Corona reigning havoc everywhere. Would I come back? Most definitely. But that won't be happening for at least another three or so years from now. We all certainly got our Murder Burgers, Belly Bombers, Craved Sliders on. And as 'Roldy from Harold and Kumar would say, '...those delicious burgers...' will last us for quite some time. We're good. Thanks White Castle.

Harold and Kumar never made it to this brick and mortar storefront. They were busy in dirty Jersey. This location was once combined with Church's Chicken. Now it's a stand alone, remodeled White Castle and uglier than ever. Next to Lehman High School, adjacent to the BP gas station and located in the heart of the "Westchester Square" bus and subway hub, this fast food joint sees a lot of action. I've dined in a few times and the lovely cast of characters (other patrons, ie fugazi thugs, change soliciting bums, ugly people, etc) implicitly tell me to avoid it at all costs. Now I only go to the drive through when I'm tipsy (I'm not driving, stupid, someone else is) from happy hour; I pick up a crave case and chicken rings. Finally I get home as fast as possible, swallowing as many tiny sliders as I can. Say that last sentence five times fast. It hits the spot. Another interesting factoid: I do know that at early mornings during the week, illegal immigrants looking for work loiter in the area. I'm serious! No, I didn't sip on Haterade today. IFHTP 3+

On a wild adventure to find the nearest White Castle burger from my location I ended up here. I kinda felt a little out of place - not gonna lie. Upon the return of my rental car my friend and I stopped here. I killed 7 little burgers I think we got the 10 burger meal. I'm pretty sure I could have eaten them all by myself. I have a feeling it isn't the nicest part of town but I really didn't care. I had never had White Castle burger and a shabby location was not going to stop me now. The little pickle and chopped onions do something that is possibly only between the gods. The inside had a bullet proof protective window up as if J Wellington Wimpy himself was going to go in and rob the place for burgers. The drink machine was a fancy new Coca Cola machine with every single soft drink you could think of. The french fries are truly americas crinkle cut fries - do not pass this up, do not let the simplicity fool you... they are delicious. All in all pretty successful White Castle trip. Will definitely have to do it again.

Being…read morefrom California, I definitely missed the Mexican food scene, so I wanted to try Taqueria Tlaxcalli to taste a bite of home. When we entered, we were greeted with kind smiles from the ladies and they welcomed us to sit at any free table. Inside has lots of decor with ample seating. We sat and a server grabbed us menus. We got a carnitas burrito, grilled cactus side, horchata, and strawberry limeade (per her recommendation). Everything came so fast, and they even split the burrito for us! Oh my god, everything was so good. This has to be one of the BEST burritos I have ever had, comparable to the ones in San Diego. I love carnitas, and they do it so well here. It was tender, flavorful, just the perfect amount of sauce and seasoning! And the horchata was the best I have ever had too! The strawberry limeade was refreshing, and the grilled cactus was good! It was my first time trying it and it reminded me of aloe vera/okra texture. I had such a great time, such a great experience, I will definitely be back!

They have options for dining in or taking out and were quite efficient We went with a burrito and a few tacos - the burrito is massive, I would say it's meant for two people at once and filled with rice, meat, vegetables, thick flour tortilla and covered with different sauces - it is very heavy! The tacos are Mexican-style with meat and vegetarian options and were simply delicious. The meats we got - carnitas, steak, chicken were all cooked great with tender juiciness. They gave ample lime and sauces to pair as needed. Prices felt reasonable. Overall taqueria tlaxcalli had exceptional Mexican food for NYC with very good hospitality and dining options and I highly recommend! The tacos were a tier above my favorite NYC tacos - Santos, Los tacos no 1 and carnitas Ramirez.

Lunch in the Bronx summons burgers. This is my first experience at Smashburger with a…read morecolleague/friend on a workday. Of course, I have heard of Smashburger brand name but did not patronize due to the inopportunity to travel and the time. All in all, burgers are not my favorite food. However, I have a strong predilection for Jackson Hole burgers for their intense juiciness and flavor when holding it in your hand for a bite - never dry. With an open mind, I entered without any preexisting judgment for burgers or any brand name, chain restaurants burgers image or quality but a focused lunch for enjoyment. We decided to dine in for our lunch away from the constant stream of work related interruptions calling my name for assistance and frivolous inquiries to fully enjoy our meal. It took nearly twenty minutes - too long for our food to arrive. This Smashburger location sits in Kingsbridge, Bronx in a small shopping complex adjacent to businesses AT&T, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Dunkin', Buffalo Wild Wings, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Baskin-Robbins. There is also a small parking lot for these businesses. It is very accessible via MTA NYC Transit 1 local train at 238th Street subway station. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt contains the bathroom access code. This bathroom code is time sensitive and changes days later. Double Classic Smash $9.99 (2 orders) Two certified Angus beef, with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, ketchup, butter toasted bun. The bun was nice and fluffy, but it was not buttery in taste. I have a strong predilection for brioche bread. There were no "Smash sauce" included as I had to add a lot of ketchup for flavor to taste, but the red onions and pickles were good. The lettuce was fresh and a generous large portion covering the entire burger. The beef was average although certainly above average than the standard McDonald's proceeded meat. My colleague/friend ordered the Scorchin' hot fries $4.09 which she enjoyed along with melted cheddar cheese sauce cup $4.99. I do not consume spicy hot food in any format. Surely, spicy hot foods are not my cup of tea. Fountain drink $3.29 Refillable and self-serve 20 oz. At first I selected the unsweetened black ice tea which is really unsweetened and utterly bland. I prefer hot teas that are unsweetened. The Dragon fruit was refreshing delight that it was completely sold out. We both have a big fat compliant for their beverages: why no ginger ale soda? Why are there two variations of Coke Cola (diet Coke and Zero Coke)? Ginger ale is the only type of soda that I consume which entice my interest. I have no preference for brand name ginger ale, but this is utter blatant discrimination for omission and exclusivity against ginger ale soda. Milk shakes do not entice my drink interest.
