This location is a haven. It is in a great location, the staff is super nice, and the food is made fresh. I've been there a few times and am always impressed by how sweet the servers are, some are obviously new but are so pleasant that I don't mind the extra seconds it takes for them to figure out my order. That missing star is a result of their non gluten options. Like you are a taco joint, how is it that I can't get anything but a bowl!??!?!!? for gluten's sake. Went to this location a couple of days ago and was extremely disappointed with the service overall. Only giving 3 stars because the food was the only thing promising from my entire experience. The text on the menu was so small it caused a disagreement between the staff and a customer who couldn't see what he was looking for and accused them of false advertisement - don't blame him at all; the lettering was so small even I had trouble seeing the deal he was asking about on the menu, although it was there. They don't sell alcohol like the cantinas advertise they do. The cashier made me feel like she didn't want to help me, there was no music playing so I felt very uneasy even holding a conversation on the phone, and they even closed the restaurant and turned away guests because they were doing some kind of construction. I wanted to order one more stacker and they said "sorry, we're closed for 2 hours." They didn't even tell me to leave when they made the decision to do all of this and started playing dembow music - of all genres - super loud after not having anything playing at all the entire time I was having my meal. Ridiculous. The prices were even higher than my favorite Taco Bell location on the UES, which disappointed me even more. Definitely not returning to this establishment, although it is a convenient distance from my home compared to the one on 97th and Lex. I ordered some for from them from GrubHub they delivered it to me but not at my door they wanted me to come down to the lobby I felt that I I have disability I stated that I can't come downstairs to the lobby to retrieve my food so they left I want everybody to know that Taco Bell on 149th St. in the Bronx tonight to go to them no more because they don't respect people with disabilities when GrubHub say go to your door they supposed to come to your apartment my apartment is not in the lobby and I give them one star thank you Adrienne Atkinson read more

Probably one of the cleanest, updated and well staffed Taco Bell I've been to. Able to see your food hand prepared through the glass window. Self service fountain drinks. Orders are carried out quick and with accuracy. No complaints . Keep up the good work guys. read more

This is the worst Taco Bell ever. The closing shift for this location on December 15 smh terrible. How does your whole staff have terrible customer service. Someone clearly tells you they have an allergy to mayo based product and you get an attitude after making food with It. Then when asked to speak to a manager the young Latino kid lies and points to a coin and walks away. Like wow way to back up your team. The so called manager couldn't even speak English. I don't know what Taco Bell is doing but something has to change. At least insure your customers are properly trained. If you don't want to work then don't work. Whoever runs this Taco Bell should reconsider being in the business. This was my first time ordering from this location...but I've easily had the worst experience ever. First I ordered my food to be delivered. Through GrubHub, I'm told my food will arrive in 45 mins. No problem. Then as 45 mins pass, I get a message that my delivery was changed to another hour and a half. I immediately called the location 3 times, but the phone rang and no one picked up. I called Grub hub and they too attempted to call the store and the driver. No one answered. As Grubhub helped as best they could (refunding my order, giving me 10 dollars off and trying to contact Taco Bell again), I watched my app. Then I got a notification that my food was delivered. How am I empty handed? How is the restaurant phone number not working? The worst!!!! read more

The food here is good, some customers complained about their drinks smelling odd. The things I really do hate about this place is that they don't really put out everything that is new on the menu. The cinnamon twists aren't on the menu but are on the menu in other Taco Bell locations. I just wish they can have these things so customers don't have to go farther for a simple item on the menu. read more
