I haven't had White Castle in awhile. This particular location was clean and convenient for me at the time. I decided to go in and order me some small bites. If you haven't been to White Castle for what ever reason, all the food available are in small portions. I got me the 1921 slider, onion rings, triple cheese tots, and my favorite jalapeño cheese sliders. I will pass on the 1921 because that's exactly what it tastes like lol. It was a try rough burger. (Not juicy at all, very dry.) The jalapeño was still the best, onion rings weren't as good as I remember. The tots were a five. They should make that a part of the regular menu. Hot and cheesy delicious. For this fast food place, it was really a good one. I would give a five but service was very slow. I think they forgot what fast food means. FAST! Anyway thumbs up for me. WHITE CASTLE I haven't stepped foot inside a White Castle since the days of hanging out after a high school party somewhere in Flatbush, Brooklyn. The good 'ol days where it was boys, or sometimes girls fist fighting and no one would get shot. I hung with my fly girl crew who were always protected. That's a story for another day. August 2021 on a early afternoon, I decided instead of driving through I'm going to place our family's order inside the restaurant. I'm glad that I did. Not sure if it was the time of day, but this place was super clean from a patrons perspective. I scoped organized team members helping each other out with food app orders, for those picking up. Not sure if delivery was offered prior to the pandemic, but of course WC offers it now due to Mr. Corona reigning havoc everywhere. Would I come back? Most definitely. But that won't be happening for at least another three or so years from now. We all certainly got our Murder Burgers, Belly Bombers, Craved Sliders on. And as 'Roldy from Harold and Kumar would say, '...those delicious burgers...' will last us for quite some time. We're good. Thanks White Castle. read more

Once in a while I go to White Castle when I want sliders. All of the variations are great. I liked the sloppy Joe slider but that went away. Boohoo. The chicken is good and the impossible slider was very good. I couldn't tell the difference between it and the cheeseburger slider. read more

Exactly what you should expect from White Castle. Are they gourmet burgers? No. Is the service great? No. Did I have high expectations going in? Of course not. Having said all of that - their "belly bombs" hit the spot for a evening snack and since I hadn't been there in about 22 years - I was happy with my snack. The location I went to on E Tremont Ave. in the Bronx was reasonably clean, nothing particularly special. The bathroom wasn't very clean, but I don't think that's uncommon for most fast food restaurants. I got what I expected and was pleased with it. Harold and Kumar never made it to this brick and mortar storefront. They were busy in dirty Jersey. This location was once combined with Church's Chicken. Now it's a stand alone, remodeled White Castle and uglier than ever. Next to Lehman High School, adjacent to the BP gas station and located in the heart of the "Westchester Square" bus and subway hub, this fast food joint sees a lot of action. I've dined in a few times and the lovely cast of characters (other patrons, ie fugazi thugs, change soliciting bums, ugly people, etc) implicitly tell me to avoid it at all costs. Now I only go to the drive through when I'm tipsy (I'm not driving, stupid, someone else is) from happy hour; I pick up a crave case and chicken rings. Finally I get home as fast as possible, swallowing as many tiny sliders as I can. Say that last sentence five times fast. It hits the spot. The food was decent but there were 3 homeless people approaching all of the customers in the store and the drive through looking for money. They were also pouring themselves drinks from the self serve fountain, one with a cup that she took from the garbage can and the other man filling his cup, taking a drink, spilling it out and refilling it. I think the self serve fountain should be closed due to the pandemic. read more

On a wild adventure to find the nearest White Castle burger from my location I ended up here. I kinda felt a little out of place - not gonna lie. Upon the return of my rental car my friend and I stopped here. I killed 7 little burgers I think we got the 10 burger meal. I'm pretty sure I could have eaten them all by myself. I have a feeling it isn't the nicest part of town but I really didn't care. I had never had White Castle burger and a shabby location was not going to stop me now. The little pickle and chopped onions do something that is possibly only between the gods. The inside had a bullet proof protective window up as if J Wellington Wimpy himself was going to go in and rob the place for burgers. The drink machine was a fancy new Coca Cola machine with every single soft drink you could think of. The french fries are truly americas crinkle cut fries - do not pass this up, do not let the simplicity fool you... they are delicious. All in all pretty successful White Castle trip. Either people can't read or just don't care. Ask for a certain item, it's either forgotten or exchanged with another item you didn't order. Gooey Butter Cake, get Fudge dipped cheesecake instead. So, this is the White Castle where I was introduced to The Chicken Ring Slider. Looking at my capitalization of The Chicken Ring Slider, you might think that I briefly turned into a 55 year old woman using the internet for the first time ever, but I assure you, this did not happen. Because it is literally the greatest thing that has ever happened to fast food ever, and I cannot believe that I had never tasted one until this weekend. Two rings of white chicken "meat" and a melted slice of orange cheese sandwiched between two bread pillows and - here's the Emeril BAM! - covered in honey mustard (make sure you ask for it)... my life was changed the moment I took that first bite. Gross. And gross to you. That describes both the food and the experience at this White Castle. Saturday night 2 of us drive over there to find a deserted parking lot and empty restaurant (never a good sign). We decide to try it anyway, curiosity getting the better of us. Walk in the front door and what do you see but bullet proof plexiglass 3 inches thick between the dining area and cashier/food prep area. This is also never a good sign. We ignore sign #2 and order. The burgers tasted like ... well ... they didn't taste like anything. It was as if we had ordered soggy warm sandwiches hold the flavor. I didn't think it was possible to put meat, cheese, and onions on bread and come out with no taste whatsoever. Of her hamburger, my ladyfriend said, "Mine isn't that good, I should have ordered the cheeseburgers." Then she tried a bite of my cheeseburger and was amazed to find that it tasted exactly the same. I don't know what concoction of chemicals they use to make their "cheese-like substitute" but dairy is definitely not a major player in the ingredients. The White Castle "cheese" probably has a longer shelf life than the Twinkie (but at least Twinkies have flavor). I came here twice in one day. Once in the afternoon around 1pm and later in the evening around 9pm Both times the lobby was very dirty. The garage cans were full . The tables were dirty. The floor had a bag of empty hamburger boxes on the floor. That was still there when I returned. The workers did not have a name tag on. The person who was taking the cash was also serving the food. Quite possibly the nastiest burger I have ever eaten. I didn't order or pay for the burger I ate, but in the future I wouldn't eat them if they were being handed out free. The burger is about 5mm thick and the buns are soggy. If all your buddies want you to try out a White castle burger, don't do it! Treat the nasty little things like you would cocaine or heroin! I came here on Monday Night July 27 around 10:30pm with My Fiancee and The second we entered we were harrassed by 2 men for change. I felt very intimidated by these 2 men who were Heavyset I Myself am a very slim and my Fiancee is very small.
