I purchased my wedding gown from White Arbor Bridal (pre-COVID era, just now getting around to writing a review) and had a wonderful experience. Diana is very personable and took time to make me and my family members feel comfortable and welcome while shopping. I take a long time to shop and make decisions and the staff at White Arbor never made me feel rushed or pressured. Even if I hadn't ultimately purchased my dress here, the experience dress shopping itself was enjoyable. The dressing rooms are roomy, cute and clean. There are couches for guests to wait/view the bride in dresses. At first I was worried based on the size of the store that there wouldn't be much selection, but after shopping at almost all of the bridal stores in the Ann Arbor area I was very pleasantly surprised. BRIDES BEWARE!!!!!! I went in and ordered my dress October 13th 2019. The dress came in 4/10/2020 they sent me an email saying it was inspected and it had a completely different back design than what I ordered. They said "I didn't even know it came in a different design than the sample" admitted they got the wrong one and refuse to refund or even compensate for the stress and hassle of dealing with all this. We had moved our celebration from October 15th 2020 to May 20th 2021 but still planned on having our ceremony to the best ability possible during the COVID pandemic and now the "correct" dress If it even comes in correctly won't be in until less than a week before. They are blaming it all on designer error after admitting they made a mistake in the order and not accepting any responsibility at all. read more

I felt a free bag should have been given to me. I paid $1,500 for my dress and I felt a gown bag should have been included in that price. In addition, I was highly disappointed when they presented my $250 veil in a plastic bag. For that price the veil should have been pressed and placed on a hanger in a garment bag. Their presentation is very tacky when customers are spending a great deal of money on quality products. Nikki was very helpful throughout the whole process. She never went above my budget, gave tons of wedding tips, and had a great depth of knowledge on all the dresses I tried on. I was pleasantly surprised when they called me to say my dress arrived early! I ordered the dress in early November and it arrived in late January. Diana was so helpful and knowledgeable and really made me and my entourage feel comfortable the whole time. After I said YES, I had so many questions about "what now?" and Diana took the time to walk me through the process. I went shopping here last night and had a wonderful experience! First of all, they adjusted their hours and stayed open late to fit my schedule. How cool is that? Not only did it work for me time-wise, it meant I had the store to myself! I had a fantastic time with Diana. She really listened to me when I described the style I wanted and my budget. She helped me try on many flattering gowns and took really helpful photos so I could show my friends back in MD the front, back and sides of the dresses. They had so many options, from off-the-rack dresses to recent, trendy designs. I originally shopped for my wedding dress at White Arbor Bridal last fall, and returned for a second trip at which time I purchased my dress from them as well. I was pleased to originally meet them at a bridal expo and then learn that they were located so close to home for me. A good bridal shop in Saline, who knew?! The store is conveniently located, spacious, and clean. Their selection of dresses is fair, though they only carry a few designers (4, I believe), there are plenty of different sizes and styles for everyone. I was impressed by the wide options available in what some other shops consider to be a low price point, at the $1500-2000 range. I have dealt primarily with Tracey when visiting, and she was great in every way. Knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful. She has all kinds of tips for dress wearing, removing, primping,etc and has shared them throughout the experience. She was more than helpful also when I returned to try on my dress an additional time for measurements related to accessories my mom will be making for me. Flexible evening and weekend hours are another bonus for the busy bride! My purchase process was pretty easy. My dress arrived ahead of the estimated time frame, and I am storing it on site. All in all, I have been very pleased with my experience here and encourage others to check them out too! read more

Nikki was an absolute dream. The bridal salon had a great selection at a good price point (1k-2k for the most part). When I went in I hadn't looked at other salons yet, so I wasn't sure what would look best on me. Nikki was EXTREMELY helpful and patient, and knew the inventory well. The most RUDE and terrible service ever! We booked an appointment with this place during a wedding expo a few weeks ago, and the minute we walked in, the "host" asked us if we had an appointment, we excitedly confirmed that we did, the host immediately and rudely said, "Well, not today...". We even showed her THEIR business card with the time and date, they then told us that they cancelled it. We drove over an hour to this terrible place!! They weren't even willing to service us and told us to go grab lunch and MAYBE they'll help us afterwards! I don't ever like to pull out the "race card" but I feel like we were treated unprofessionally because we weren't white. TERRIBLE experience! I went to this Boutique my very first time trying on wedding dresses. Melissa was very knowledgeable and helped me learn about each dress as I tried them on. However, I was disappointed that I only tried on around 5 dresses and that only one was close to something I would wear. For my first time, I expected to try on many more dresses to narrow down my style and for me and my guests to be able to pick dresses from their stock for me, which we were unable to do. In the end, I found a dress I liked but was unable to try on. I didn't feel comfortable making such a big purchase without trying the dress on but felt pressured to make a decision on the spot. I'm glad I didn't - I went elsewhere and found my dream dress the next day. All in all, service was fine, just not the exciting and happy time I envisioned in my head for my first time trying dresses on. read more

Wow, I cannot say enough positive things about this bridal shop. The customer service was top notch. Diana was amazingly helpful with my dress selection process. I arrived a few minutes late (direction challenged) and she did not resent this at all, which was nice. She asked for my budget and then directed me to dresses that would be within my budget. She did not judge or mind that I had a lower budget, which was fabulous. They have a wide range of "off the rack" dresses for steals. I tried a few "off the rack" dresses and a few regular ones. I loved everything I tried on and Diana was helpful in getting me into the dresses. She was very nice and helpful. She also was polite and courteous. I felt very welcomed in her store. She made my family feel comfortable. After I finished trying on a bunch of dresses, she did not pressure me in anyway. I narrowed it down to a couple selections and she stepped away so I could discuss it with my family. It was very nice. I am glad she did not pressure me and she made me feel very welcomed in the store. I decided on a dress and then purchased it! It was a very fun experience. I would recommend this store to any bride. I came in and was measured after waiting forever only for her to put the measurements on a scrap piece of paper. I knew the measurements would be wrong, and they were. $200 of alterations (using one of their preferred seamstresses) after paying $320 for the dress and it was still horrible. Each bridesmaid (all of whom were measured) had to have their dresses altered for everything, not just length. Take the dresses back and demand free alterations if this happens to you. read more

Bottom line - go out of the Ann Arbor area and you'll find the same dresses for much cheaper. I had a good experience trying on dresses. They were beautiful and I was able to determine what style I liked best on my body! I found a dress I loved, but it was too far out of budget. I was not shown any dresses in my budget and was told when making the appointment that there were plenty at or below $1000. I think you can negotiate the price, but it was my first bridal appointment and I was not ready to make the decision or haggle with the sales associate. When I was about to leave, the woman assisting me flipped into serious sales mode which made me and my guests feel very uncomfortable. The dress I fell in love with at White Arbor was at a different store for $350 cheaper and I purchased it there. read more

I got my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses from here. All of the dresses were the wrong size, ranging from too small to 5 sizes too big. I had to lose a fair amount of weight to fit into my wedding dress and my bridesmaids had to spend an excessive amount of money to have their dresses completely restructured. As soon as you enter the store, you're greeted by a helpful staff member in a non-smothering way. The shop is well lit and the wedding dresses are easy to access. The fitting rooms are large, well-lit, and pleasantly decorated. The employees themselves go to great lengths to help provide exceptional customer service. Compared to other bridal shops I've visited, White Arbor Bridal has a gorgeous and diverse wedding gown selection, and I think what sets them apart is their industry knowledge and networks. If they don't have your wedding dress, they WILL find it. They also have a decent selection of bridesmaid dresses that can be used as mother of the bride dresses as well. They also have a large Tuxedo collection for your groom. Definitely should be on your list of bridal shops to check out. read more

As soon as I met the staff for this shop (at a bridal expo), I knew I wanted to buy my dress there, and was really hoping to find something I loved so I could give them my business. I went in, and found the perfect gown! It was a comfortable, fun experience - nobody was pushy, trying to get me to make an emotional impulse buy, or trying to force me out of my budget. I had the freedom to look through the dresses, pull ones that I liked, and the owner helped me to stay in my budget and gave me tons of options to do so including pointing me to discontinued dresses that would be cheaper or purchasing one of the sample dresses. I never once felt like I was just a dollar sign to her, when so many other vendors in the wedding business treat you that way. I had so many shops try to scare me into buying something on impulse because "You're not going to have enough time! You need to order now! It'll take at least 6 months for the dress to come in!" This shop reassured me that I still had plenty of time and shared all my options with me, making sure I found something I loved. Could not be happier with their level of professionalism and just down-to-earth kindness! Their prices go up to $2,000, and they really work with your budget. They don't do alterations, but give you a list of recommended seamstresses and have one that works out of their shop. I believe they said their bridesmaid dresses range from $125 to $230, averaging around $180. Your maids get 10% off when you buy here! It was a bit of a drive from me but I'm SO glad I drove out to give it a chance. Highly highly recommend! My wife ordered and paid for a bridesmaid's dress, the correct size wasn't in stock at the time so it was ordered and shipped to the store. The bride let her know that the dress was ready to be picked up and we drove down on Sunday October 23, 2016 to pick it up. We arrived at the store at 4:28pm and found the door locked and the building empty, even though the website and the writing on the door clearly says the store is open till 5pm on Sundays. I called and received no answer. We drove over an hour to pick up the dress and were infuriated to find the store did not stay open through the duration of their business hours. read more

While I did not buy my wedding gown here, I can't say enough positive things about this salon. When I first came to look for a gown, they were willing to open early or stay late so my parents could come look at a gown I had my eye on. They also called and asked to keep the dress longer- since I guess it was on loan from somewhere else? I DID end up buying earrings, a jacket and my head piece here. I got so many compliments on my hair piece (a sparkle head band), including from my hairdresser who wanted to take a pic on her phone of my finished hair. Originally, I tried on a sample jacket- and they were willing to sell at a decent discount if I took home that day. I decided to order up one size, and paid full price. The 2 women make shopping fun, relaxing and really listen to what you want for your special day. I was really happy when I asked for HONEST feedback about how something looked, it was given. When I was shopping for my wedding dress this past summer, my mother and I walked in here at the end of the day exhausted after driving around to different bridal shops in southeastern Michigan. To be honest, I had low expectations before entering this store but was very pleasantly surprised. As the other reviewer commented, the store is not particularly large in size or selection, however, they have some really beautiful dresses. I had the opportunity to speak and work with both owners and the seamstress they work with and all three women were incredibly nice and helpful. The dressing rooms are spacious and you wouldn't struggle to try on and even a large or pouffy dress. The dresses are very reasonably priced, as well. Diana mentioned that the most expensive dress they carry is $2000 because they want to make sure that they carry things that are affordable. Also, White Arbor was the ONLY store that allowed us to take pictures of the dresses I was interested in. The purchasing process went very smoothly and the dress was ready to be picked up when we were told it would be at the point of purchase. If you are looking for a place to ask questions, not feel judged or pressured into a purchase, and generally have a wonderful bridal shopping experience, I would recommend trying White Arbor. read more

I brought three small concerns to the associate when i went in to see my dress for a second time, to match beads and show my maid of honor. I was given the run around and was told that i would be followed up with in a week or so. Three weeks went by and i heard nothing. I called and spoke with the associate who helped me and she explained that the owner would not do anything to fix these issues for me because they were not significant enough for any sort of action to be taken. I was then told that i could use a hair straightener to crease a fold of fabric on my bodice. I then asked to have the owner call me to explain why nothing could be done and was told i would be contacted the following Monday or Tuesday. I waited another week before i took my frustrations to Facebook, in order to gain the attention of the owner. I was given an extremely rude response and was blamed for putting a hole in my dress (that was later explained as a common hole left for the seamstress). I live two hours away and asked my sister to deal with this for me, but she was yelled at by the owner, Diana when she tried to seek a explination or resolution with her. I then immediately called to speak with Diana and was yelled at for 13 minutes and was never asked to explain my concerns or questions to her. She called my Facebook review "stupid" and said she refused to make the situation right because of my Facebook review. I was also repeatedly called a liar because her associate denied telling me that i should use a straightener on my dress, and that i never requested to have the owner call me back. This entire situation should have been handled in a professional manner, with my sister or myself never being yelled at in the first place. Diana refuses to do anything to make this right and will not refund me the $300 i have paid for after - care services that i no longer desire for her business to provide. This is an absolute nightmare! Do not take your business here! There are other bridal shops that will be more than happy to take care of quick fixes and actually return your phone calls in a timely manner! I'm now suck with an uncomfortable and stressful situation to deal with from two hours away and this was the last thing i ever expected to happen when i purchased my dress here. Based on reviews went into this shop with high hopes. Selection was great, clerk was nice but when the dresses arrived-the horror began. 4 out of the 5 dresses were either too short and /or too tight. The SHOP had done the measurements and recommended the sizes. When the bridesmaids voiced their concerns on pick up, the clerk blamed us for choosing that style. The girls signed a receipt saying picked up-not knowing that meant they couldn't do anything about the bad fit. So we are out $1000 and have no dresses for the wedding. BEWARE!!!!! I shopped for my wedding dress here in October. While I didn't end up purchasing my dress here, I had a great experience shopping at White Arbor which is a fairly new store. It's very nice inside, very clean, and the dressing room spaces were probably one of the best in any of the stores I shopped at--very spacious and comfortable! Diana was very helpful, patient, and respectful in all aspects of my appointment--I didn't feel pressured or rushed at all. While I can't speak to the purchasing experience at White Arbor, I would definitely recommend this as a place to shop, and it's especially great that they are open 7 days a week. I literally stumbled upon White Arbor when I was out to lunch in the same strip mall. I had no idea there was a bridal store in my hometown and was thrilled too see that there was! I walked in and fell in love with many dresses and was shocked to see the extremely reasonable prices. Diana (owner) immediately approached my mom and I and made us feel so welcomed and well-served. Before walking into White Arbor, we had an appointment scheduled at Beckers and immediately cancelled it after talking to Diana. We made an appointment at White Arbor for about a month later and LOVED IT! My mom, sister, grandmother, and future mother-in-law arrived and Diana already had dresses in mind for me. She was prompt, thoughtful, and let us really explore. She didn't make me feel like I needed to be super careful when putting them on and let me put them on myself. I had one in mind but she insisted that I try on 10-15 dresses. She had a wide variety of dresses both on sale and full-priced. She really listened to me and made sure to ask how I felt in the dress. She didn't impose her agenda or thoughts and really let me feel beautiful in my dress. She helped my thought process by asking great questions and encouraging me to remember what I liked about the dress. White Arbor is perfect for anyone local, but definitely worth the drive!!
