I've found their prices on dry cleaning to be quite competitive, especially for coats. They are so friendly and accommodating, and everything is always ready on time. Going there is an errand I actually enjoy doing. They even got an old stain out of a silk skirt, which I had thought would be hopeless. I had them repair a coat lining, and I wasn't totally thrilled with the results, but it was still pretty reasonable in price and I didn't have time to do it myself or track down another alterations place, so I guess the ROI was probably still worth it. read more

The Korean couple that owns this shop are WONDERFUL. Reasonable prices. They beat out the competition and do a better job. Ive had clothes ruined by dry cleaners but not here! I also had a dress altered here, and the woman did an amazing job. Very happy with this place and I will continue to bring my business here. read more

Trojan Dry Cleaners - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Ypsilanti, Michigan

This local business has provided some of the highest quality dry cleaning that I've ever received. The prices were reasonable for the outstanding work and the turnaround time was very reasonable as well. They mended my pants and fixed several snags that other dry cleaners hadn't bothered with. I will be a life long customer here. If you're looking for a local Ypsi business for your dry cleaning needs, look no further than here. read more

Took my husband's suit and tie to be cleaned. The gentleman that helped us was very polite. We forgot to take the garment bag and he brought it to the car for us. read more

Located across the street from Eastern Michigan University's College of Business, Trojan Dry Cleaners is the place to take your clothes be cleaned, or if you need some alterations done to your clothes. Recently, a friend of mine got all kinds of food stains all over his new business suit. Apparently, he ran into one of the food servers at an Italian restaurant, and believe me it was a mess to say the least. Fettuccini Alfredo and spaghetti sauces can ruin any type fabric. Likewise, I thought his suit was ruined for good. However, never underestimate the staff at Trojan's, as miracles can and do happen. I went and picked up his suit, and was amazed that it looked brand new. You couldn't even tell that it had food stains all over it. I was totally convinced that it was going into the trash can. From now on, I'm taking all of my clothes to Trojan's! read more

Sweetest couple around. Friendly, smiling faces and overall happily accomodating to boot. Not the cheapest place but so far so good on the dry cleaning. A couple of stains totally gone, very nice indeed. They have also sewn on a button for me and mended a tear in a seam, very good job with both too. Stop in for friendly service, the more I come in the more frequent the discounts as well. That makes it even better in my book. read more

I have been going here for the past year and I'm loving this place. Yeah, you could say, all dry cleaners offer the same service and they do the same thing for your shirts and pants, but what sets this place apart from others is the owners. The owners are very nice, friendly and always welcomes you with a smile and big hello! I live in Ann Arbor and I swing by Trojan on my way home from work. Give this place a try! read more

A1 service won't take my suits anywhere else. Owners are very respectable hard working people.

I've been going to Mr. Shin for years. He and his wife are a charm to work with. I've had a few "misplaced" shirts over the years but he always makes it right. Mr. Shin always remembers your name and is super friendly. I've had less business for Mr. Shin due to Covid but when/if we get back to the office I'll look to Trojan dry cleaners for great service. read more

Of all the dry cleaners in the area, they are by far the best. There are cheaper places around but you get what you pay for. And the owners are the nicest business owners I've ever come across. They are one of the most genuinely nice people I have ever met. read more

I remember coming here often with my dad as a child, as my mom sent us out on Saturday mornings to run errands and complete honey-do lists; I am a fan of Trojan Dry Cleaners mostly because of their consistency and the fact that they have stayed open, in the same location, for so many years...and continued to provide good service to the downtown area. I have only been here a few times as an adult and each time the service was iffy. Perhaps the old couple has just worked a bit too long and they are losing a bit of their charm, or, perhaps, I just caught them on an off day, but I've had them turn me away, stating that they couldn't do what I was asking them to do (small alterations)...so I took my business elsewhere and other cleaners were happily able to do the job. I would still come here simply for dry cleaning, as they seem to be quite reliable and able to do that, but since I often require repairs or alterations as well, I don't think I'll personally be coming back here that often. read more

Great service, every time I go. They even called me after they closed because they knew I needed my suit before they would be open again. Other cleaners in town have left my suits damaged or with weirdly-placed creases, but everything I have gotten done here comes back good as new. I highly recommend this place. read more

Don't look anywhere else! I had some last minute alterations and cleaning I had to have done -- the staff here were so great and friendly. They were very accommodating to my needs and then some! I came back 2 days after drop off to pick up one of the more emergent items that they said would be ready, and they had everything finished! I will definitely be using Trojan Ypsilanti in the future. read more

Such a sweet couple. Not only did they take my pants last minute before a busy holiday, but they did it for free. All I needed was a small hole repaired and they told me don't worry about a fee, and to just come back for my dry cleaning. Which I absolutely will do! Great service :) read more

I dropped a pair of a pants off here to have the pocket repaired. They charged me 10 dollars. At first, I thought "Wow, what a great deal!" Then a week later, the pocket fell apart. I took the pants back to the cleaners to have them fix it again. This time the man told me the whole pocket needed to be replaced and he would only charge me 5 dollars. A week later I arrive to pick up the pants. They were on the conveyor and he charged me the 5 dollars that he promised. I was stunned to find the pocket not even touched!!! Still broken apart. He said his wife told him I needed a whole new pocket. Ok great, that's what I asked for. He said they couldnt do it. Well why didnt they tell me that in the first place??????????? So I told him to give me my money back. He said "NOOOO, I clean for you and thats it". I told him I didnt WANT the pants cleaned, I wanted the pocket fixed. Please give me my money back right now. He said no again. I paid 15 dollars for NOTHING. Now I have to go somewhere else. After reading this story I hope NOBODY would go BACK to this place! read more

They cleaned my thrift store jacket so well that it looked like something I bought from Saks brand new! The owner also carried my items to my car and closed my car door for me... I felt like a gd queen read more

I took some uniforms in here to get altered. Coworkers had told me they had theirs done for $10-15 per item. I had 3 shirts, 2 pants and a zipper repaired on a pair of jeans for ~$45. Very fast and friendly also. read more

Do not use this business! Would rate with 0 stars if possible. Dropped off jacket and blanket for a sewing repair (both had tears with no fabric missing, but not at the seams). The man was very nice and spent time looking at the tears and marking them with pins. He confidently told me the repairs could be done with ease. I could've done it (and did end up doing so) myself but thought they'd be able to do a better job, given it is their profession. When I picked them up, the owner was very nice and confidently brought the items out to my car (with covers on both so I could not inspect them). It was very expensive, but I paid without complaint, given that it is a business and I assumed they'd done the job promised. Not only were neither items repaired, they charged me for cleaning both items, even though I did not want the jacket dry-cleaned and I told them this when I dropped it off. Furthermore, there is no way the jacket was cleaned- I found a Kleenex in the pocket and a little dirt on the front (adding a picture). When I went back to get a refund, they would only give me $7 back and said it was not repairable (I paid $60). I sewed the items myself and hope that this review helps save other potential customers from their shady practices. **Pictures of my sewing added to show that they were repairable!** read more

The owners are very pleasant and sweet. I have had several vintage items cleaned here and all came back looking great and the prices were good, as well. I was given a 10% discount when I went to pick up three dresses there the other day...just because! Whenever I walk into the store, if it's the husband working, he greets me by saying, "Hello pretty lady." He is an older gentelman and in no way does this greeting seem inappropriate, it just seems sweet and nice. And, I must say, I AM a pretty lady :) read more

I have been going to the Shin's cleaners for years. I recently moved from the immediate area and still come back weekly to use this wonderful cleaners. Mr. Bang Ha Shin actually takes my hand and bows when I walk in the door. The service is great and the prices are quite reasonable. I saw one negative review and am sorry for this person's experience, but I have never seen anything to shake my faith and will keep using Trojan Cleaners, Ypsilanti. read more

They are well priced and do great work. I had several suits and sweaters that needed to be cleaned and one suit jacket that had a tear. When I arrived for pick up not only did they remember me but they had done the repair for free and even found another tear and fixed it free of charge as well. Plus they are so polite, which seems rare in this day in age. They even carried my clothes and hung them in my car without my asking. I won't hesitate to take the loads of other clothes I've been putting off being cleaned in. read more

Out of the myriad of dry cleaning places I have had the pleasure or displeasure of taking my garments, this one is BY FAR the best. The owners, the Shins, are the nicest and most down-to-earth business owners I've ever met and they do an amazing job on the garments without charging an 'arm & a leg'. They've removed stains I thought were permanent and even will sew anything that you think needs fixing; including buttons, tears and hems. I would highly recommend this place if you live within a twenty minute drive of it. Best service, best price, all with a smile and a handshake. read more

I've been living in Ypsilanti for three years now. In the last couple of years, I've embarked upon a new professional journey. Because of my new occupation, I've had to upgrade my wardrobe to look more professional. I've tried my hand at ironing a few times and it's never worked out. It's just one of those services that I'd rather entrust to a professional. That's where TROJAN DRY CLEANERS has been a tremendous help. Often, I will be backed-up with work tasks and only remember to take in my dry cleaning at the very last minute. No matter how soon I need my clothes dry cleaned, Trojan Dry Cleaners takes care of me. The clothes always come back looking great and they never look wrinkled (even after two days of wear). Trojan's is a family owned business and it's local. The proprietor is a really kind person, and he cracks jokes all the time! He's even helped me hang my clothes up in my car! Great service...reasonable prices...Give Trojan's a try! read more

The Shins have been great community forever and are amazingly friendly!! Great product, service and I couldn't recommend them more!

In scoping these people out to see if they were going to be the ones I chose to clean my wall cloak for the fall, I went in with the repair. I asked the lady if she had thread that would match so that I could do a little sewing to fix something. Without even buying anything, she gave me the exact color matched thread. This is where I will be taking my cloak and my additional dry cleaning. read more

Absolutely fabulous dry cleaners -- super service oriented owners. I arrived 10 minutes prior to opening (at 7:20am for their 7:30am opening) on the morning of my third day of work. My shirt had a missing button -- I was hoping the owners could repair the button while I waited. No problem -- shirt was repaired within 5 minutes at no charge. Owner would not take any money for the repair. Needless to say -- they have a customer for life. read more

Family owned and run. If you have an issue, just tell them and they will take care of it. I have been using them for 2 years now.

Best laundry ever. I do not want to write a review based on their kindness, etc. rather than the quality of the service. But I can't because they are the loveliest couple ever. Not that I am saying that their service is just fine. I am fully satisfied with their service as well as the price. But I have to emphasize that I can get more than just a service here. read more

Took an antique Wedding dress and antique quilt (both from 1940's) that had been found in a trunk in the barn. Both items came back beautifully clean. The quilt is bright yellow and all the stitching held together. It was water stained and dingy brown when I dropped it off. The dress came back immaculate. The beading was all straight and the dress was pressed perfectly. I had them put it in a long term storage box. Very reasonably priced and fast friendly service. Highly Recommend for antique items. They are very careful and honorable. read more
