It's kind of cool a place like Saline even has a 24/7 laundromat. I half expected it to be closed after making the haul despite what Google was telling me. Parkside was nice and clean and wonderfully desolate on a Friday night. I might as well have let in a couple tumbleweeds with me, maybe let em roll around in the machines. Yeah, there were several out of order machines I spotted but it wasn't exactly a problem. If this place ever gets busy maybe keep driving? The color scheme is perfect for a laundromat- white, blue and sea green. Dig the chairs in here, too. It was a blow to my ego to see Salma Hayek on the cover of their AARP(!) magazine but hey, time marches on, and she still looks great! The extra large dryers are comically huge. I almost wanted to use one for the novelty. It looks like astronauts could train for centrifugal force in those things. I was in and out of here pretty quickly, and I had let my laundry slide for about as long as I possibly could. Didn't really see anything drastically the matter here - no music or television but usually it's nothing good in a laundromat anyway and in 2022 I'd just as soon play music on my phone. I listened to some Curtis Knight and the Squires - a band a young guitarist named Jimi Hendrix used to play in. Sorry, boo birds, but I'm taking the first step in raising Parkside's ranking above the 1 star jail you built for it. Here's to fractions.

I used to think it was a waste of money to use a laundry service but then I realized my alternative choices have been to lug laundry down 3 flights of stairs to my apartment laundry room, which leaves my clothes disgustingly damp, or to haul my laundry down 3 flights of stairs into my car and drive to a Laundromat. One time they ironed my pants completely the wrong way and I'm still trying to get them back to how they were. The pants have pleats down the middle of the legs. They did not iron them that way. I ironed them properly, but the legs still fit kinda weird.... The reason why I won't be back anymore is because their prices have become extremely high. I can no longer afford to bring my dry cleaning to them regularly. One work blouse and two pairs of work slacks cost $27.10 to dry clean, with a turnaround time of 5-6 business days. To me, that isn't a good deal. Especially because now I need to check pants before I take them, because I will not have that happen again, especially for that price! They do have a drive through drop off/pick up which is awesome.

I brought a white work barong with some hotpot stains for cleaning. It has a lot of meaning to me…read moresince it has Filipino designs and was inherited from my grandfather. I wasn't sure if it was possible to get the stains out but figured I'd leave it to professionals. When I got it back, my jaw dropped. It looked good as new, no stains and even whiter than I had ever seen it. Service was extremely professional, quick, and easy. Left the clothes with them for a few days and they held it for a few days until I had time to pick it up. They have my business for the foreseeable future.

One is a vintage wool car coat (shorter than the usual length of a coat) from Eileen Fisher, something I bought about 35 years ago. Another is a dark dark purpleish 3/4 length coat, with great sentimental value. So I was hesitant to turn these over and take a chance. However, I can say without reservation that Elite Cleaners II did an excellent job! The colors look more vibrant, esp. the Eileen Fisher coat, which is a dark teal. And that they use a "wet" method and not chemicals was a plus. The items were ready one week later. Yes, you can expect to pay more for their service, although I don't know if the $53.00 for two coats would be standard or not. At any rate, to my mind, it was well worth it. Now my coats are ready for the next winter in Ann Arbor!

Received a call on FRIDAY, told they could not hem them at all. Very disappointed in the lack of apology for stringing us along for over a week on a job they promised but could not actually come through on. We could have taken them somewhere else to be altered in that time frame. Frustrating. We'll go elsewhere for our dry cleaning and alterations.
