PLEASE BE AWARE!!!! I am never the person to write bad reviews but dealing with Eureka dry cleaners has made me realize that bad ownership truly makes a bad business. The owner is extremely combative. Based on my personal experience, make sure to NEVER bring the items you care about to this place. If they damage it, they will not take any responsbility for it WHILE being degrading, slanderous, and simply just a bully. The owner never thought to apologize even once, instead, he yelled, screamed, and complained about going to them for responsibility for damaged goods. Good folks, have done shirts and occasional dry cleaning here for years. .

They could not get any of the 3 stains on a dress shirt out. They were all different kinds of stains and they couldn't get a single one! Also dry cleaning here was 7$ which is ok the very high end. Service was good, they were nice about it but did not offer a refund. They did not clean my shirt at all. Unbelievable! Would not recommend. read more

I went to Eureka Cleaners and left 7 items. The clerk returned only 5 items and told me to leave. After looking at the receipt, I requested the 2 missing items. At that time, there were two other customers in line. The clerk was rude, insisting that there were customers before me (even though they arrived later). I patiently waited for about 10 minutes while he served the other customers, and then he finally returned my items. To my disappointment, one of the two items still had a stain that I had previously pointed out (I'll try to update with a picture). Based on my experience, I strongly do not recommend this service. It appears that they prioritize respect based on discriminatory, discretionary, and hard-to-comprehend criteria, rather than following a simple first-come-first-serve approach. read more

I brought in a brand new dress shirt to this place (opened the packaging there) and got it back w a stain on the back--looked like food grease w a green herb in it. They took it in the back (didn't apologize) and immediately cleaned it again then brought it back out. You could still see part of the stain on the back. The clerk was rude and said "nobody cares about a stain on the back". I was like "what are you talking about? And it was a brand new shirt!" He then refused to admit it was a food stain and also then argued w me that it wasn't a brand new shirt and accused me of having the stain on it already. And I still had to pay $7 for my nownstained brand new shirt. Wtf? Rarely have I been so incredulous. Will never step foot in here again--and neither should you. read more

I've found the people at Eureka Cleaners to be super friendly and very efficient. This past weekend, my boyfriend needed some help with the dress shirt for his tux. They had turned the machines off for the day but they spot treated the shirt, and then pressed it when we came back the next day. They really went out of their way to help us out. Eureka Cleaners - you're killing me! Two pairs of jeans and two cotton dresses dry cleaned: $34.90. $34.90!!! Don't get me wrong, they did a good job but man are they expensive! I didn't need any special stains removed, just plain ol' standard dry cleaning. The longer I live in Ann Arbor the more and more I find it to be more expensive than living in San Francisco where I would have paid half this amount for just 4 garments. Will I be back to Eureka Cleaners? Maybe. It is close to my apartment, but I think I'm simply not going to seek out dry clean service - at least not very often. read more

Overall, a very disappointing experience. I have been using Eureka for all my dry cleaning needs for about 3-4 months (meaning weekly to every other week for that time frame). Often times,my clothes ended up just fine, however what is most troubling is how the owner dealt with 2 separate incidents where my shirts came back ripped. Each time, he strongly suggested I must have done something since this type of thing 'never happens' to anyone else. The first time it happened, I figured it may have been a random experience. After much discussion after the first occurrence, he begrudgingly agreed to credit my $10 off my next order (my shirt was clearly worth more than that). Of course after the second occurrence (and where the rip in my shirt occurred in a similar location on the shirt), I became very concerned it was their process that has a problem. I brought this to the attention of their owner, and he said that 'he is tired of this, and that I should perhaps take my business elsewhere.' No acknowledgement whatsoever either occurrence of any fault on their side. Believe me, I will take the owner's advice and take my business elsewhere! read more

These guys got out makeup that my wife got on one of my suits after another dry cleaners failed to remove the stain. And by the time I brought it here the stain had set in for over a month. Not to mention the other dry cleaners (Michigan cleaners on east Stadium blvd. don't go there!) got a mystery stain on the pants and Eureka got that out too! I am very pleased with the quality of the work and if I recall it was only $14 even though I needed it done in 24 hours. These guys do it right. read more

I've brought many shirts, dresses & pants to be dry-cleaned at Eureka. People tend to complain that they're overpriced but they've got a good, convenient downtown location with parking. The turn-around time is pretty quick - usually within less than a week. I've also gotten two dresses hemmed here -- and I'm sufficiently pleased with their work and efficiency. read more

I've been here twice: - $25 to dry clean 4 business separates (jackets and pants) and $15 to hem lined wool dress pants - $20 to take in a chiffon dress, move the side zipper, and add a new clasp This place is a little pricey for a student, but the alterations were done with great care and quality. Each of the alterations took 1 week and were completed on time. The owner is very kind, helpful, and responsive. Once, I came in while she was on the phone with an elderly client, arranging a delivery since the woman had mobility issues. That's customer service! read more

Always friendly and speedy dry-cleaning service (much more so than the South U location...), can get things done quickly when necessary (sometimes even day of, in an emergency), and has been able to get out stains other dry cleaner did not get out. read more

Really disappointing--this place looses your clothes, doesn't admit it, falsifies receipts to make you think it's your fault and never offers any type of reimbursement because they don't admit fault--really sad:( this happened twice to me--I understand that making mistakes is human but it's how you respond that makes a difference--and with my experience is the owner's response was unacceptable. I've come here a couple of times for dry cleaning suits and evening wear. The prices were on the higher end, but the service was fine. So, given the convenient location, I was happy to be a repeat customer. Recently, I asked for a small rip to be fixed in an evening gown and for the dress to be laundered. After paying their usual high prices, I found that the rip had been fixed, but no better than I could have done myself. I paid so that the rip would look professionally taken care of, so I was upset. Worse yet, I got the dress back with new stains from glittery glue and a new rip at one of the seams. Clearly, they made the repair hastily on a dirty work station, did not check the quality of their work, or clean the dress afterwards as I paid for. This will have been my last visit here. read more

I don't know if I'll be using this dry cleaner again. I brought in a cream cashmere sweater with a mystery black stain. I had tried to launder it myself, but with no luck I took it to Eureka. I explained to the owner about the stain and how that was my sole reason for bringing the sweater in. He told me it would be four days before I could pick it up. When I returned to reclaim my article I still had the mystery stain, yet $5 less in my wallet. read more

Honestly the worst service I have ever gotten in my entire life. I brought in a pair of sneakers expecting to come back with it cleaned like they assured me. Not only was there still dirt crusted on the gum of the shoe. They somehow managed to dye them from YELLOW to GREEN. I have washed the shoes before and they have never changed color on me. I talked to the owner on the phone and all he said was that it wasn't his fault that the color changed and that he only did his job. He offered me $5 off the $20 cleaning fee as compensation for ruining a pair of limited edition sneakers that are valued over $120. The staff was helpful in getting me in contact with the owner but the owner was neither helpful nor remorseful blaming it on the shoes I brought in rather than his skills as a dry cleaner. These shoes were also part canvas which makes me think if he isn't able to clean simple canvas shoes correctly, what makes anyone think he is able to clean other peoples clothes correct. I would never go here again and I am not expected back because the owner said "I don't want you as a customer anymore" when I demanded the least which was to get compensated by dropping the $20 cleaning fee. In the end, I have a pair of green shoes that I spent my broke college student savings on, and a ruined day from the attitude the owner was giving me. There are so many other great dry cleaners in the Ann Arbor area and I suggest you try them all, This one however, is not worth your time. read more

I brought in a black, wool coat that was COVERED in hair from my light haired cat. Eureka did a great job! They removed virtually all the hair and did the job really quickly for me. Staff was super friendly. Would highly recommend. read more
