The owner is extremely combative. Based on my personal experience, make sure to NEVER bring the items you care about to this place. If they damage it, they will not take any responsbility for it WHILE being degrading, slanderous, and simply just a bully. The owner never thought to apologize even once, instead, he yelled, screamed, and complained about going to them for responsibility for damaged goods. The situation is long so I will leave this review here with a screenshot of the message I received after their insurance had settled the situation and I went to pick up my item.

I wasn't sure if it was possible to get the stains out but figured I'd leave it to professionals. When I got it back, my jaw dropped. It looked good as new, no stains and even whiter than I had ever seen it. Service was extremely professional, quick, and easy. Left the clothes with them for a few days and they held it for a few days until I had time to pick it up. They have my business for the foreseeable future.

One is a vintage wool car coat (shorter than the usual length of a coat) from Eileen Fisher, something I bought about 35 years ago. Another is a dark dark purpleish 3/4 length coat, with great sentimental value. So I was hesitant to turn these over and take a chance. However, I can say without reservation that Elite Cleaners II did an excellent job! The colors look more vibrant, esp. the Eileen Fisher coat, which is a dark teal. And that they use a "wet" method and not chemicals was a plus. The items were ready one week later. Yes, you can expect to pay more for their service, although I don't know if the $53.00 for two coats would be standard or not. At any rate, to my mind, it was well worth it. Now my coats are ready for the next winter in Ann Arbor!

Received a call on FRIDAY, told they could not hem them at all. Very disappointed in the lack of apology for stringing us along for over a week on a job they promised but could not actually come through on. We could have taken them somewhere else to be altered in that time frame. Frustrating. We'll go elsewhere for our dry cleaning and alterations.

The owner was confident he would be able to shorten the sleeves. I come to pick up the jacket and it looks worse than before I brought it in. The work on both sleeves was uneven, the stitching was crooked, and the worst part is, because the material was cut, I can't even go to another tailor to fix his mistake. This jacket was irreparably botched. I brought in 3 items--two pairs of pants and a jacket--NONE of the pieces were altered correctly. Your clothes are better off not coming here. The reasons being: High quality work, very fair (in my opinion; $20 for pant hem [August 2022]) price points, and great customer service! In my experience, turnaround is less than 2-weeks. Their new location is tucked behind a car detail, so you might miss it. Be sure to drive slowly and use your navigation. They are open only on weekdays, so make time in your schedule.
